It's not good when you come out of state to visit a place and are witnessing the way people are being treated. The service at the table was good, the food was not good. But the actual manager they have working and by taking to the server who attended us it's unfortunate they have to work there just to support themselves and have to be put through such shame. Not only that but I witnessed that day how the woman was treating others. She can deny it all she wants and sit back and reply lies but I will not stop. I have proof on that day what happened. This page should be monitored by the actual owner, and looked into. Ridiculous. If I could give ZERO rating I would. Also,she likes to talk about other community members , I've witnessed this many times before when I went in while I was there visiting, and have heard her talking to other others, and she wasn't talking very quietly. Let me start by saying the food here is maybe a 2 out of 5. The service is also the same. But the worst part as someone who has lived in Kamiah for 29 years, is being deeply appalled at the way Kamiah hotel and bar has chosen to conduct themselves. Their manager, an older woman who should have some etiquette and class, has recently posted inappropriate photos of a young woman in town as revenge. This is a very bad reflection on this business and shows what standard is being set. Damage has been permanently done. I will no longer be supporting this establishment and will instead drive to Kooskia for my business as I suggest everyone else with any standard to do also. read more

Very disappointed...Don't waste your $$$ on the Mother's Day dinner special that fell very short of special today; saying the food was horrible. Lobster was like rubber from the bottom of an old logging boot. the stuffed baked potato was just a baked potato cooked sawdust dry with a burnt skin. squash soup had no flavor other than the blended to a liquid squash. grilled shrimp cooked dry but did taste OK. The small triangle of toasted bread, very chewy with a rubber sidewall tire crust. ***I must mention i have ordered off the regular menu and have enjoyed the foods from the place on past occasions. read more

Ate here as there are not many options in the town. It was well worth it, though. The waitress was friendly and checked on something before I ordered as she wasn't sure how to answer. I ordered chicken fried steak and baked potato. Hubby ordered fried brussels sprouts, a reuben sandwich and fries. The chicken fried steak was very good and the breading stayed on the meat so I was not getting breading alone on my fork. It was tender and didn't have any gristle. The fried brussels sprouts were delicious but different, breaded and served with a sauce (garlic aioli?). I never would have thought about breading sprouts, but they were really good! The only disappointment was with the fries and it is not unique to this restaurant: we're in Idaho and getting frozen French fries! Highly recommend! read more

I've eaten here for several years unfortunately it's not the great food & service it used to be. I'd had the occasional "just okay" meal which is fine. We hadn't received our food after 1-1/2 hrs but people who arrived & ordered after us received their food. Our salads came out 1 hour earlier. We were literally told the food was being added to our plates as it was ready. 10 min later we still had not received our food. It arrived from tepid to salmon that wasn't cooked. 2 plates were brought out with the remaining two a few minutes later. We asked the waitress to comp a round of drinks. the manager came out, comped the cold meal and proceeded to give us endless excuses. She told me my bread wasn't "that" cold when I literally handed it to her. She hasn't bother to bring the fork that we needed & asked for. Between the unprofessionalism, excuse making, and lack of personal responsibility by the manager. The tepid canned green beans, uncooked salmon and they were "out of baked potatoes" (after a 90 min wait) We won't be back. For an expensive dinner out avoid this place! Limited menu for Covid but the wait staff was extremely accommodating despite the limited offerings. Came here on two different night while visiting the Kooskia/Kamiah area. Different servers and bar staff but the service was equally friendly and efficient both times. Bar taps have some regional beers to choose from. Looks like a nice outdoor patio and bar area for those warmer days but it was too cold for that when we visited. read more

On a motorcycle ride through Idaho and Montana and a great place to stop for the night is in Kamiah Idaho. And if you do, be sure to stop in to the Kamiah Hotel Bar & Grill. Great line of Taps and the ribs were fantastic. Now the service was excellent except for the fact that are server was from Michigan. I'm from Ohio and those 2 states don't mix well. Most of the time, the Prime Rib is excellent, but there have been occasions that it wasn't quite as good. I got the salmon one time that was incredible - moist and perfect. But the next time, it was dry. So, the consistency needs improvement. But overall, the food is very good, the atmosphere is fairly classy, and the staff is friendly. I've made several work trips to Kamiah and I can tell you this is the only place in town for good food at a great price and a decent beer selection. Burgers are good and every once in a while they have a steak dinner special going, it's the best steak dinner you'll get anywhere for under $20. read more

Dinner was way over-priced. My prime rib was cold, not even the slightest bit warm. Nothing done by management when complained about it. Service is the worst. Sat waiting for drinks for over 20 minutes after placing dinner order, then had to wait at least 10 to 15 minutes after ordering additional drinks. Have been there several times, and always the same terrible service and mediocre food at ridulous prices. Won't be going back. Management slights customers when it interferes with their agenda. We went there on the recommendation of an acquaintance we met while vacationing in the Kooskia area. It was around 6 pm on a Sunday when we sat down. There were 2 other tables being occupied - a party of 4 and a party of 2. After we placed our order a party of 8 arrived. We eventually got our food 45 minutes later. The food was mediocre - not the worst we've had, but certainly not the best. The service was really poor. However, we did get a couple of bucks off our ticket for the long wait. read more

The manager Sonny is the best manager I've ever seen in the place, he always seems happy to greet customers with a big smile and a giant hello!
