I am not a hater - not a troll - and spread plenty of love when deserved. But if you intentionally screw me over - I'll get around to recovering my 400 dollars one way or the other. Which leads you into this tale about NFI Empire. In 2024 I was selling my 1996 F150. - Under 75,000 miles Under 10K for a pretty - truck that I loved but never really trusted. Ryan from NFI Empire called me expressing interest in my truck. We discussed my price point - he felt it was in the ballpark of fair AS-IS - depending if serial numbers, VIN, and mileage all checked out...and there were no unobvious concerns. He offered his services in helping to sell my truck and I declined his offer. A few weeks later Ryan called back and convinced me to drive the truck out to North East for them to take a look at and see if they were interested in selling it on consignment. They gave me the impression they were going to give the truck a fine point inspection and cleaning...and then talk about a consignment. I needed to place a 400 dollar deposit. I agreed. A few weeks later they called me back and said- dude love the truck- as is you are right ou could probably get 8-10 for it as is...but we don't want it that way. We want to put a lift on it and restore it back to better than it was when it came off the line... We want to put like 15 K into it to try and get a ton of money for it. I did math and was like well fine- buy it from me for 8 do all that shit you want to do- and make all the money y'all want. Naw- they want me to have them fix it up on my dime; list it there....and then we are both in the making it rain business. I expressed my dissatisfaction with the waste of my time... Asked for my 400 dollar deposit back - and was told no. So I got my truck back- not cleaned up in the least... Not treated all that well.... And sitting in their office for a few hours waiting on them to play games - I got to sit an listen to how - not so above board these gents are. Unfortunately for them - I counsel quite a few kids with a bunch of money and independence - Guess where I steer them away from...just like I am steering you away from. Definitely do not list your vehicle with these guys. They will use you, waste your time, and rip you off for a few bucks. Their vehicles look incredible and they may be...but there are hundreds of places to buy cars. You should probably do that somewhere where you aren't worried about getting taken advantage of? Hope that was with the 400 bones NFI Empire. BTW got 7,700 for the truck - got it to a 17 year old who is loving it...and it has been in now more than a few senior pictures on the interweb. We spent close to $80,000 with them between two vehicles -- a classic car and a truck -- and both turned into complete nightmares. First, let me say that Shay, Mike, and Randy are absolutely phenomenal people. They treated us well, they worked hard, and they are the only reason we even considered going back after our first disaster. If they ever leave, I'd happily give them my business elsewhere. (Honestly, overall I really liked all of the workers there except for Justin and his brother Nick). We bought a classic car in March. It was supposed to be ready in time for my daughter's senior pictures. I knew it would take a little time since we were converting it from manual to automatic, but they promised a few weeks. Instead, it was the end of June before we saw it. During the process, they called me three separate times asking which transmission we wanted. After each call, they claimed they "already ordered it." Each time, weeks passed with no progress. Finally, we picked it up. On the way home, about halfway, the car literally caught on fire-- the underside was on fire. They towed it back and said it was just a "faulty transmission line" and would be fixed quickly. Promised it back by Monday. Monday came and went, and suddenly it needed a whole new radiator. When I came in (understandably shaken up, since I was in the car when it caught fire), I asked for Justin. Yes, I raised my voice -- but I had just nearly been in an accident in a car they swore was ready. Instead of professionalism, Justin screamed at me. Told me if I didn't want the car, I could "get the hell out of his store." Then when I pointed out that his staff had been calling the wrong area code the entire time when I tried to find out why no one was calling me during the whole ordeal his response was: "Well, he's probably autistic or something." He also told me "Its a 70 year old car! Of course it will have problems!" However, the part he just fixed was brand new. We also wanted to get the brakes done because I was told it was drum brakes all the way around. They quoted me at 12,000 dollars to get it all done. I took it to my mechanic just to find out it was actually drums in the back and there are already discs in the front. Our mechanic quoted us at 800 dollars to get it fixed. Despite all of this, we still came back because we liked Shay, Randy and Mike and I needed a truck for my business. Big mistake. We bought the truck with a warranty. Within half a mile of leaving the lot, it was shaking and the AC didn't work. Took it right back. They told me the clutch was literally melted. They "fixed" it, but the repair was put under my warranty -- even though it was obviously an issue from before I drove it off the lot. Justin's brother, Nick was our salesman. When we came back in and he KNEW we were having issues, not once did he even come over and ask what was going on. He was almost as bad as his brother. When I asked what was causing the shaking, they brushed me off with: "We balanced the tires, drive it for 2000 miles, and if it's still shaking bring it back." A short time later, the entire drive shaft fell off. We called and they told us to tow it in, and that the warranty would cover a rental. I did exactly as instructed, only to find out from the warranty company that they don't even work with Enterprise. I was stuck paying out of pocket. Then, when NFI couldn't get the parts right away, they told me they had called the warranty company and gotten "five more days" approved for my rental. I called the warranty company myself -- and they said not only did they not approve it, but NFI never even called. They lied directly to me just to cover themselves. Justin, is completely unprofessional -- he screams at customers, disrespects his own employees, makes offensive comments, and takes zero accountability. The only positive thing about this place is Shay, Mike, and Randy. They deserve better, and if they ever go somewhere else, I'd gladly give them my business. I could say so much more. I contacted NFI empire to inquire about a 1946 Hudson big boy truck. I spoke with James a very very nice salesman. James is also incredibly accommodating and honest. Living 625 miles from the showroom. I was apprehensive about buying a vehicle without checking it out and driving it. James using pictures and live video streaming put my mind at ease. James even took me for a live video stream drive in the Hudson. When it came to my questions and concerns. James went above and beyond to set my mind at ease. One of the last video streams James noticed a crack in the driver's window. He told me not to worry they had an auto glass company that could replace it. It didn't take long for James and I to come up with a satisfactory price. N F I empire has a network of banking institutions that will get you a good interest rate and the monthly payment you were looking for. After the financing was completed, James and NFI empire were true to their and had the drivers side window replaced. After a week of transport companies disappointments I felt I was stuck between a rock and a hard place. James advised me of a transport company they used and once again James and N F I empire came through for me. I can't say enough good things about James and N F I Empire.If I could give them 10 stars I would. I highly recommend N F I Empire and yes, I would buy another vehicle from them., Their website would be the first place I would go to. I sold them a ford bronco in may, well it's July and I haven't been paid yet. it took over a month for them to pay the bank off because checks kept getting lost in the mail (it was my banks fault) this business is absolutely horrendous. We were going to buy a vehicle and put down a $500.00 deposit which we were told it would be refunded. It has never been refunded and messages were left at the North East location and I actually called the Erie location as well and a manager was supposed to call me back.
