I want to do this review because apparently nobody has reviewed Auto Express Kia before. I have owned a Kia Soul since 2014 and have had no problems with it at all. It has been a very reliable car and the only time I visit a dealership has been for maintenance. So I drove on my vacation from California to North East Pennsylvania and I had a check engine light come on twice and then it would go away after a day. Otherwise the car drove perfect. I saw a TV commercial for Auto Express Kia and decided that it would be a good idea to have them look at it. I went there and found that this store is connected to Off-Road Express which sells motorcycles and other items, which I found very interesting. Anyway I did not expect to have the problem handled immediately, as I had no appointment. I was greeted by a very nice gentleman who told me that they will look at the codes to determine what was wrong and would even fix a few burnt out light bulbs (car is 4 years old, a bulb going out is normal). He told me to come back in an hour, as they were getting ready to break for lunch. So I went inside to the waiting room and was very pleased to find comfortable chairs, water and snacks with a big TV and free WiFi. Now also being a motorcycle buff, you know I spent a lot of time looking at bikes. I came back just shortly after 1 p.m. and was taken care of immediately. In about an hour, I had the car back, everything fixed. Apparently the computer needed an update that Kia was aware of involving this issue, which they took care of under warranty and bulbs had been replaced which I was charged a modest price for parts/labor. My general impression is this is a very good dealership with polite, customer focused employees. read more

Bough a used 2016 kia sportage. It has less then 60000 miles on it. Had to go to vergina so decided to make an apt for oil change for when I got back. I had the car less then 3 weeks when I went. In the time the battery keep dieing and I was told when perches they would replace but I had to wait for them to order one. Whatever so I finally did get it the day before I left at which time I had asked about the other things I noticed were going on. They told be they did not see a problem and no lights so it was fine. So ride to Virginia was not to bad but the same proble was starting to get worse. So the day after I'm back which was now into week 4 of me owning this vehicle they change oil tell me it must be water in my gas. Add dry Gas give it a few days. At which time I said are you sure it feels like the catalytic converter is plugged. They responded we checked its fine. 3 days later my cars not going over 5 mph send it to them they said o2 sense fule pump and ooo my oils is low because they never tight the oil filter. Which who know was my fault aparently because had to pay to have it redone. After they change all said things with my warnty It only cost me 200 dollars okay not bad. Except no they called me to say ooo my bad it is the catalytic converter and it will be 1500 dollars which is not on warnty. So I was like um well you assure me it was not and said you checked it responders was it was my fault. Like really they seen me coming because after this I talked to a few other people who have said they had issues with vehicles from them but if I would of asked they could of told me never by from them the are not good read more

I brought the 2019 Sorento I leased last year here for service today. Most employees were either not wearing masks (including the ones I saw driving patrons' cars) or wearing them improperly with their noses and mouths exposed. I told them I couldn't stay in their waiting room because of these conditions, and they just said, "We understand," and no one changed their behavior. After my service was completed, I told them I wouldn't be back because of the unsafe environment and let them know I reported them to the Erie County Health Department. Shameful. read more

I took my daughter looking for her latest suv something that has become a daddy daughter moment in our lives. What we experienced at Kia was possibly one of the greatest sales persons either one of us has ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Bobby Lewis is truly an asset to your company. In the first week of December 2015, my wife and I bought a used 2007 Kia Sorento with 155,000 miles from Auto Express Kia in Erie, PA. The initial asking price when my wife found the listing was $6900. The sales associate, whose name I'm pretty sure is Brian, was very friendly and helpful. Prior to finalizing the sale, I asked to give the vehicle one last test drive because I realized I hadn't previously checked the 4-wheel-drive. This time, I engaged and disengaged the 4WD several times in both high and low gears, closely following the instructions in the owner's manual. Everything appeared to be working properly - the correct dashboard lights illuminated and I could hear what I thought was the 4WD system engaging under the vehicle. Unfortunately there was no snow on the ground at the time, and I couldn't tell whether all four wheels were getting power. Nevertheless, I was reassured by our associate that the vehicle was thoroughly checked by their service department and cleared of any mechanical problems. Fast-forward to January, about five weeks after the purchase, and all seemed to be well. Due to an uncharacteristically warm winter, we had not yet taken the Sorento out in the deep snow, and therefore had not attempted to use 4WD. Well, the snow finally came, and I engaged the 4WD, hoping to get some much-needed traction. Just as it had during the test drive, the 4WD seemed to initiate perfectly - the proper lights came on and I could hear the system engage - all seemed good to go. However, upon accelerating, I immediately suspected that there was no power going to the front wheels at all. I hastily called Auto Express and explained the situation. They offered to take a look and diagnose the problem, so we made a service appointment for their first available slot. Upon inspecting the vehicle, it was quickly determined that the entire front differential was torn to shreds and needed to be replaced. I explained to Josh in service that I had just bought the vehicle about a month prior, and it was clear to me now that the 4WD was not working properly at the time, despite seeming to engage smoothly. Josh expressed understanding, even going so far as to admit that not all 4WD vehicles entering their lot are checked to make sure the 4WD works properly before being re-sold! The following day I received a call from Josh - he'd spoken to the manager, who offered only to repair the vehicle at cost - five hours of labor at $75/hr and roughly $750 in parts, for a grand estimated total of $1125. Disappointed, I requested to speak with the manager. His first response was that they couldn't do anything more for me because they had come down so much on the price of the vehicle. He claimed that they reduced the price by over $1000. I pointed out that this was completely untrue, and that the asking price of the vehicle was $6900 at the time of our first test drive, compared to a $6500 final selling price, for a difference of only $400. I then offered to pay the $400 out-of-pocket to fix the vehicle, thinking this would be a fair compromise, given his reasoning. Apparently that didn't suit his interests, so he changed his reasoning. His next response was that I had bought a high mileage car, and that there were no guarantees. I then argued that while the vehicle had high miles, our associate had made a point to reassure us that it had been thoroughly inspected and cleared of any mechanical problems. We later found out that was very obviously not the case. At the time, we were negotiating based on a vehicle with working 4WD and no major mechanical problems - a belief reinforced by the claims of the sales associate. Presented with that argument, he changed his story one last time, this time claiming the 4WD system HAD in fact been thoroughly inspected, and was working properly at the time of purchase. He accused me of causing the damage myself, and that with high-mileage vehicles, things can seemingly go wrong overnight. I quickly pointed out the fact that a differential simply does not shred itself to pieces from a few weeks light driving. The damage was very obviously caused by prolonged abuse, and was present at the time of purchase. Despite all evidence pointing to the contrary, and basically told me, "tough luck" and sent me on my way. I'm incredibly disappointed in the how this situation was handled by management. It was painfully obvious to all parties that Auto Express Kia had sold me a vehicle with a broken 4WD system and either, A: had inspected the vehicle, knew it was broken, and lied about it, or B: neglected to ever inspect the 4WD, then mislead me into believing they had. Either way, their actions were negligent at best, and deliberately deceitful at worst, and I firmly believe they should hold themselves accountable by accepting my offer of $400 to repair the 4WD. Until this situation is rectified, I cannot in good conscience recommend Auto Express Kia. read more

I've always hated buying a new car until I met Don Sayban at Auto Express on Wattsburg Rd. I had been looking for one of two specific vehicles as far away as Cleveland for two months and my dream car was 2.7 miles from home. Don was the best auto salesman I have encountered, he treated me like I was his only customer and I found out he was in the middle of delivering two autos and selling another. Great job Don and he saved me thousands of dollars to boot. I paid what I wanted to pay not what they were asking. read more

If I could leave zero stars for their service department I would. I am from Cleveland and was in Erie when I started experiencing car trouble. I had my car towed there because it was the nearest dealership. They had my car for 11 days and all they did was replace spark plugs and do an oil change. I picked up my car after they told me they had test drove it and my odometer had only moved 2 miles. I drove my car 10 miles down the road where It died again but worse. Needless to say this is unacceptable and I would not recommend this service to anybody. I will also be following up with Kia corporate. read more
