We ordered a Pulled Chicken composition and Philly Cheesesteak Sammy on the way out of the beer den after purchasing a 4-pack of home grown suds. While the Belgian Tripel went of $23, the amazingly tasty sliders were boxed expertly for $8 for a deuce, prepared the way you want it. Ample sauces, peppers, onions, relishes and melty cheese to beat the band. When we arrived home five minutes later, we broke open the grub and brew at the kitchen table and went off devouring the solids and guzzling the liquids. Really, the Stuff'd Bunz were terrific; plenty of flavors and textures to entertain the tastebuds, and leave you wanting more. Strong BBQ base under sours and sweets and crunchies, held together by something that reminded of a potato bun. Even the mock Cheesesteak was a big chew hoot and a half. Gooey cheese over finely chopped beef, with onion mixed in. Not the Prince of Steaks, but a damn good facsimile. Washed all that down with the expensive amber ale, and we were sated, if not poorer for the experience. When Covid is defeated, I look forward to hanging out at the bar and enjoying the wonderful repast to the fullest. Until then, takeaway is the only safe way to go.

Hubby and I made reservations online to dine here on a whim on a Friday evening and I'm so glad we…read moremade reservations because the place was PACKED! My brother had already told me that the food was good but I wanted to experience for myself... We were seated inside almost in the middle of the restaurant and had a great view of the tv (on the night we visited, the 76ers were playing in the semi-finals, so our seating was PERFECT! We placed our order with the waiter - hush puppies, chicken waffle skewers, hubby ordered some kind of sandwich with pulled chicken and I ordered the BBQ Blackened Shrimp. The chicken and waffle skewers and hush puppies were the "stars" of our dining experience - the chicken was tender yet had a nice crunch and the skewer ingredients as a whole were savory and the hush puppies had well balanced flavor and the slight crispness of them was so satisfying. Hubby's sandwich was pretty good - the chicken was juicy and tender and his fries were nice and crispy and seasoned with precision. The BBQ Blackened Shrimp missed the mark for me - if I could do it again, I'd order this minus the bread. The bread was too much and was just odd for me but I enjoyed everything else that came with this dish... Overall, we left satisfied. The service was excellent, the staff were pleasant, diligent and attentive and the atmosphere is very relaxed. This place is definitely a great neighborhood gem that everyone should try! P. S. I saw several people order the mac and cheese and each time that I watched the servers bring it out, it made my mouth water, but I didn't have an appetite for mac and cheese on the day of my visit but I would definitely try it on my next!

What a fabulous truck!! They set up shop in Manayunk for Stroll the Street and I noticed the truck…read morebecause I had never seen it before. I was in the mood to try something different, so this was the obvious winner! Honestly at first I was like ugh tacos, because there are so many taco trucks around. But their menu definitely caught my eye with the Cuban flare to their offerings. The tacos sounded really good but again, wanting to try something different I ended up with the salchipapas! First off, I have never even heard of salchipapas before but it was absolutely delicious! Super crispy fries with the perfect amount of salt topped with some hot dogs cut like little octopuses (octopi? lol) and then drizzled with a garlic sauce, their secret sauce, and topped with pickled red onions. lol that actually kind of sounds gross now that I typed it all out, but trust me it was amazing! The staff were great and they looked like they were having a lot of fun in that truck! And the tv screen was a nice touch as well. Really enjoyed this, glad that I stopped to try something new!

Not really knowing what to expect from a Miami/Cuban type menu I was pleasantly surprised. The flavors mixed with the fun colors of the truck and personalities of the owners provided a fantastic experience for my wife and I. The Cuban Fries stood out the most to me, for a few reasons. I am a French Fry fanatic - if you will. I will pretty much try them prepared in any fashion...Short Order's Fries were delicious in every way. It does surprise you with the plethora of colors it presents, but they all meld together deliciously for one happy mouth. From the combination of mustard and pickled red onions, meat (so much meat) and the sauces. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it! Additionally I was able to try a Chicken and a Pork Taco. Both very delicious and juicy. with the best combination of flavors. Not your typical taco. And fried cheese... wow... If you want to see your expectations get kicked out the window, then try their food, or hire them for your event! I'm glad I did!
