He did some work for us recently. Since there is an enforceable non-disparagement clause in the contract, I can only say good things about him, so here goes: Among other things, he was contracted to repair a crack in our living room ceiling and mud the ceiling to look like the rest of the textured ceiling. His subcontractor said, upon finishing screwing in the dry wall: "Well, I have to go home to look up mudding on youtube. I've never done it before." I'm sure the visible straight line trowel marks on the ceiling are elsewhere in the house, but I can't find them. Excellent work! As for the job of putting mortar between the tile and shower enclosure to give the the caulking something to adhere to [our shower pan was installed incorrectly, and they cut the lip off to fit it in the bathroom, causing a leaking problem], the caulking job lasted six weeks! Hooray! When I removed the old caulk to re-do it, my spatula went into the wall all the way in various places around the shower enclosure. I recaulked it without incident, but didn't put more mortar behind it. At $413 for the job, we paid $68 per week for no leaks! A bargain, I'm sure. read more

I agree with Francesca L.! I could not say it any better! Run,RunRun as far as you can from them! They have an F rating with the BBB bureau but I was fooled by the reviews on *************They were pulled from **************** also after I paid them a $920 deposit! I was also told I would be ill advised to file any complaints to *************** or the BBB due to legal action! I also had the experience like others stated in their complaints of constant excuses why they can not do the job at the times they were supposed to due to Accidents, hospitals, illnesses, I heard them all! Then after all my aggravation as a customer trying to get an answer, they said they would finish the project and then we could review what I might have coming back to me from my deposit since we were not happy! Of course they said due to changes in the proposed project, the total due was a little more than my deposit, but they would call it even at that point! I am still waiting to pick up the debris several weeks after they finished that st project! After several promises to come and pick it up which they never did, they will not respond to any of my emails! Worst of all, I just found out the stairs are not built to code , so I have to pay someone else to take them down and build new ones! That is what I got for my $920! Nothing but aggravation! Absolutely horrible company to work with. After they get your initial deposit, they find all kinds of "Help" from Craigslist, Labor Ready, and the side of the road to complete the projects specified. Excuse after excuse (When you can get ahold of them) as to why things aren't done. They tell you one thing and do another. I wanted permits pulled and was assured it would happen. Incredibly unprofessional and petty. They called me to subcontract a job to replace two ceiling tiles. I told them no problem, $50 labor and $50 trip charge, $100. I got there and there were 23 stained and missing tiles. I told him I would do it for $250. He insisted that I do it for $100 as previously discussed. I declined. If you change the scope of a job, the price changes. Bigger job equals bigger price. This guy is a con artist. I don't fall for a bait and switch and I'm not going to lose money because you threaten to leave me negative feedback. There's a reason why you can't build a network of reliable subcontractors. I've done my job for a long time and I do it well. I hope that companies like this disappear quickly. Buyer beware. read more

The owner of NHCRS, Joshua, is a con-man. He came across as very honest and professional and I was excited to have perhaps found a company to take care of some of the many projects that I have on several apartment buildings. After the initial meeting, I was never able to reach him again until this dispute arose. In fact, it was near impossible to reach anyone at anytime to discuss progress or issues that arose during the project. From the 1st day of work when they arrived with the wrong materials to do the job, to the last day that they were on-site, there were never any qualified workers to complete the task at hand. Most of the time they were "labor-ready" laborers with no skills or tools appropriate for the job. There was one employee that gave it a valiant effort and we are grateful that he was able to at least get some of the problems rectified to a point that we would accept....although his skills were not professional, he was. Once they felt the job was complete, they charged my credit card for the balance without notifying me or gaining my authorization. Once I had the opportunity to review the work, I discovered that it was not complete and Jim, the "Field Manager", told me that someone would be out to complete the job by the end of the week. Of course no one ever contacted me again and I incurred the expense of having someone else to complete the work. I offered to pay the entire balance minus the $400 expense. I got the credit card to issue a refund of the charges and then the email assaults and threats began. Here is an example: After looking into you a bit, you have a questionable reputation. I am not surprised by your charge back. However, I don't think you know me either. 1. Tomorrow our attorneys at Divine and Millet are filing a lien against your property and the business property 2. We will forward this to ********** as well. 3. We are filing a negative with Dunn and Bradstreet in the morning 4. We have fought the charges and have an initial win on that as well. 5. We will pursue damages through the binding arbitration clause of your agreement. You are a scam artist, I look forward to this fight you will not win. You had the work you contracted for done. Once you got what you wanted you disappeared, because you did not want to pay. I have gone the State Police who are gathering information from us about Theft by deception. And......, With that said we were in the middle of changing staff attorneys, and our new guy started on Monday. I just saw the Ex Parte Lien, and I have authorized him to send you, your business, and your partner to our collections partner Northstar Collections. Finally we fought the charge back, and the initial finding was in our favor, but it can take 90 days for the money to appear back to us, we are also having a meeting on Thursday with the firm that handles our Binding Arbitration matters. Once it gets to that point we will seek damages and fees. You may be used to working with desperate people you can take advantage of but that wont work with us. With that said here is our counter offer, you immediately stop the reverse charge and we will not pursue things. However your time is running short as our attorney is already in Concord filing a few other things, I have informed him to hold off on your filings until the morning, but if we don't get proper resolution before5PM we will not make any further offers to you. Rather than spend time litigating this with a con-man, I chose to pay the balance in full via check and am looking for a refund of $400 for my expenses to complete the job. I only chose one star because there is no option for negative stars. These people are unbelievable. NHCRS is a shell game operation. They hired random people from craig's list who were not licensed professionals, and they sent them to my house to do the work unsupervised. I bought a house in Massachusetts that needed extensive renovations. I called NHCRS and they came out to do an estimate. He seemed very professional, and seemed to know what he was doing. He gave us a quote and said not to be concerned about the lower price, because he guaranteed the quality of his work. He also stated that he had employees who were licensed carpenters, plumbers, and electricians, and that they were licensed in the state of Massachusetts. This turned out to not be true. He didn't send anyone to my house that had worked for him longer than a couple months, and they admitted to not being licensed. At one point, they had a worker at my house who they told me to my face was a licensed plumber. I walked directly from that conversation, into the house and asked the worker if he was a licensed plumber and he admitted that he was not. I was told that the work would be done in a matter of weeks. I bought the house in January, and by April it was nowhere near complete. The entire project was mismanaged from the beginning and extremely unprofessional. They left trash and debris piled up inside my house and all around outside for months because they refused to pay for a dumpster. I was told over and over that they will send the "company trailer". This did not happen, and when they finally came to pick up the trash, they sent a guy out in a uhaul truck! When the work began, I was told that the permits had been pulled and everything was on track... I suppose I should have known that something was wrong when I came home one day and all the windows had been covered with black trash bags. His "employees" told me that it was to protect the windows from dust, but as it turned out, it was an attempt to hide the work from the building inspector because they never pulled any permits. It didn't work however, because the building inspector caught them without any permits and shut the job down. When I asked why I had been told that the permits had been pulled, I was told that the "flooring permit" had been pulled (There is no such thing as a flooring permit). Then the job sat idle for several weeks while NHCRS tried to scrounge up some actual licensed professionals on craigslist. The whole time telling me that their licensed employees were "busy on other jobs". When they couldn't find any professionals to pull the permits, their solution was to ask me to pull my own permits and say that a family friend was doing the work. When I threatened to fire them for their ridiculously sub-standard work, I was threatened with legal action. They told me that there is a "binding arbitration clause" in the contract that you sign with them to begin work, and I was told "we will take this to arbitration, you will pay for the legal fees, and you will lose." Essentially, they attempted to extort me to keep them on the job. Eventually I consulted a lawyer, found out it was BS, and fired them, but not before I lost a lot of money. I lost thousands of dollars because I'm an idiot and I paid most of the money upfront. Most of the work that his un-licensed, unskilled "employees" performed had to be completely redone after I fired them, and in the end, he had the balls to tell me that I owed HIM money! This experience was an extreme hardship for me and my family, I have been through many difficulties in my life, but this was by far, one of the absolute worst experiences that I have ever encountered. read more
