We went for a nice birday. We sang happy birday too many times. Mostly because ob the clowns. The clowns made it a good birday, whether it was your birday or someone else's birday, it was just too much from every angle. This park is amazing. So much space for you to do many. Great parts to play on, from a good stand point of playing. Quiet neighborhood. One of them gave me some old mail. So much shade from the many trees that are designed at the park from another time. Nibley Park - Enjoy birday at park - Parks Near Me - Glendale, California

I spent an hour at Nibley Park last month with five adult friends and six beautiful children, all girls between the ages of two and seven. I'm currently pregnant with my first kid--a boy who will be babied and bossed by this coven of wonderful girls--and it was fun hanging out in a gorgeous park watching children run around and play while the grown-ups caught up. I intend to do this as often as possible when I'm a mother, as I'd love to outsource as much chasing and playing as I can to unpaid children. The park was lovely. Street parking was easy on a Monday afternoon, and the park was calm and spacious, peaceful despite all the families with children (I imagine it gets busier on weekends). It was clean and pretty with lots of playground equipment that the girls put to good use. There was tons of green space, too, so much that the children were able to wander into the distance to play their mysterious games, making me realize why people buy bright-colored clothing for their toddlers. I don't live near Glendale, but if I did, I'd bring my future offspring to Nibley Park all the time. It's a super nice park, easy to enjoy for adults and children alike. read more

The cleanest bathrooms I've ever seen at a park. This park has nice grassy areas, a playground, a tennis court and a basketball court. Plenty of street parking. It was busy when I got there around 5pm on a weekday, but it started emptying around 545pm. The playground is nice. Toddler sized monkey bars, tall slides, and swings all on mulch. read more

This is a really nice park to spend a few hours at! We took a picnic lunch and enjoyed sitting outside on a nice day. The only thing is they don't let you play with balls here (I wonder what the story that lead to that rule is?). Green lawn, luscious trees, a playground and easy parking makes it great spot to take kids to run off steam and for mom to relax. read more

Enjoyed Nibley for a bit on a pleasant Wednesday evening in Mid-July during COVID-19. There was a decent crowd of mixed ages with people practicing a decent amount of social distancing. Though there was caution tape blocking off the concrete picnic tables and playground, people were still using them. The restrooms were about as clean as you might expect for a park with a good amount of stalls and soap and paper towels. The half-sized basketball court is not in operation during the pandemic. There is no walking trail here, but it's great for a picnic and yard games. Love all of the shade. Bonus: the surrounding neighborhood is gorgeous. Lucky me, this is within walking distance of my home. read more

A cute little park that services the Rossmoyne neighborhood of Glendale. Parking is on the street. The park is clean and the playground is nice. There are tables and lots of space to run. Wouldn't be good for a large party - but just right for a small kids party. Great place to stop and just be! Approx. What an awesome park hidden in Glendale. If you are in this part of town, definitely come here. It's got benches and it's very small and confined so it's fun for everyone. Parking is on the street and easy to find. I couldn't see any restrooms nearby but other than that, I liked the park. read more

This is a nice, quiet park set in the midst of a residential neighborhood. Multiple picnic tables are available in a pretty, wooded setting. There are tennis courts adjacent to one side of the park, a residence on the opposite side, and houses across the street. Way up the hill in a quiet area is Nibley, which I've chosen as a place to have a potluck. It's not too large, but has room for two tennis courts, a little playground, and picnic benches scattered around. It's very shady and there are restrooms as well. I'll echo Erika in that Nibley isn't the best pick for a big party - there aren't many tables close together, and a large party would pretty much take up the whole park - but smaller gatherings (like a cookie exchange potluck!) would be perfect. Nibley Park is a charming tiny park located in a very nice and quiet residential neighborhoods as you head toward the Verdugo Canyons. This park is easily accessible from the 134 Freeway and 2 Freeway to North Verdugo Road. This park is very nice, clean and well maintained. They offer tennis court as one fund door activity in the park. As mentioned, this is a very quiet park with friendly surrounding neighbors and park visitors. Most visitors are very polite and considerate and well clean up after themselves so this is highly encouraged. Plethora of lush trees and bushes and shaded areas ideal for picnic or private moments. read more

I've been coming to this park since I was old enough to remember. I can practically say, since I was three years old! It's a very quiet and, peaceful place. I've had many memories here, such as birthday parties, one on one's, pick up games, or just swinging around on the swings. Last time I came here, I was flooded with pleasant memories from childhood. It's a place I like to go to, and reflect about my days. There's plenty of space to run around and do stuff. You can even Barbecue with family & friends. The trees provide much needed shade. Great little park with ample street parking. This park was recently re-done and it's a big improvement over what was there before. Wood chips cover the ground and there are two play structures, one for little ones and the other for older kids. There is a climbing area with ropes and a very tall slide. Bathrooms are not too far away and usually clean. There are also tennis courts near by and a large green area for soccer or other sports. read more

This is a small park but, so adorable, nice, clean and quiet in a very nice residential neighborhood. It's well kept so, if you visit it please don't litter, if you choose to eat there. I did give them one pray star, because, it offers little to do. It's just a cool place to spend a pit of quiet time or meditation. read more

Nice, quiet park with something for everyone. Unfortunately, I happened upon a used condom in the playground on our first visit. People, I'm not going to get into the series of choices that led you to getting it on in a children's playground. But can we at least agree that if you're already there, you should throw your condom away so no children end up touching it? There are plenty of trash receptacles around the park (which is another plus, IMO). Good choice using protection, by the way. read more

I love this little park i had all my daughters birthday parties here, it's not too crowded and they have plenty of swings and picnic tables plus a basketball court and tennis ball court. This is a great part of the Rossmoyne part of Glendale which is very safe at night so even when it would dark right before 7 pm which is when they would close the park everybody would respect the rules and keep it clean and not violate the area. I never saw people smoking or the bathrooms dirty. read more

Great park! Very pretty, lush setting with tons of trees and great shade coverage for those warm days. It is a bit on the smaller side with playground equipment and very limited swings, but other than that, it's got tons of space to run and play -- great if you want to kick or throw a ball around. Not the best if you come during peak hours on the weekend and your kids want free reign of the equipment. read more

This is one of the rare parks that is hidden which makes it less crowded. I found out about this on a field trip with Brianna's class close to R.D. White elementary school. One you find a retreat close to the City and you can enjoy with your kids, family and still avoid the crowds. read more

Great park to take the kids. Lots of shade in the play area, nice bathrooms , picnic tables , tennis and basketball court. I take my daughters here and they love it, they also love to explore the park and take the little trail in the back near the houses. I come here a lot and this is probably the best park for kids to play, parents to relax. read more

This park has all the elements of being one of the greatest place in the city. Except the fact that the grass is terrible and it has zero privacy. Anywhere you are at the park you were completely exposed to the entire street of mountain. It's a cool place to watch guys attempt to play tennis as fun to watch the kids jump up-and-down in the playpen. Park is excellently placed in a pocket of Glendale with old world charm. The equipment is new and it's perfect for my 2 year old. The park is very well self contained so as a parent you can let your kid run wild without worrying too much. They have 2 spots where you can get through the gate but they are on both extremes of the park. 10/10 will come again. read more

I grew up at this park and think it is perfection. It has that quiet neighborhood feel, a nice play structure, and lots of place to run around. There are also two nicely kept tennis courts, a basketball hoop, and regular stops from the ice cream man! Scenes from The Overnight were filmed at this park, so if you're a fan of Taylor Schilling (Orange is the New Black) or Adam Scott (Parks and Recreation), you can go to the park, and revel in the fact that you'll be standing where they did.
