I'm going to rate this place a C- Definitely a "meh." The place is average all the way around (which can be a good thing - sometimes)! In this case, the service level brings the place waaay below average. I rarely get a manicure, but usually pay $10 or $12 in NYC and ALWAYS 20% tip. Nice Nails charges a base price of $15 for a men's man. Upon entering Nice Nails, you'll notice it's a large bright space and well equipped. Our group was not immediately acknowledged or greeted. No big deal. Eventually we ordered our services and were just waiting around. In a little while, I heard a high-pitched noise from the extreme other side of the room - about 40 feet away. Not paying much attention, someone finally directed my attention toward the noise. It was actually the manicurist shouting muffled instructions to me into a mirror. That doesn't really work for me, but I found my way to her mani station. I did mention to the mani-lady that I had no idea who or what she was addressing and it's best if she just talk to me. She didn't like that and became hostile and sarcastic at whatever I said. Great PR and customer service. Once I became quiet and sullen (yes), she became a bit more civil. If had just been there alone, I would have walked much sooner, but this was a very unpleasant experience. The manicure was ok and served its purpose. The manicurist ruined the experience and damaged the business' core goals. Hey, if you're in the Phoenix area and need a mani-pedi, why bother with this place? read more

Worst place I've ever been to. Mani/pedi took 2 1/2 hours! (That did not include any waiting time) The option of both at the same time is not available. Polish is bumpy. The dryer is regular light bulbs and a fan. They try to sell you on their terrible products, even the tv is set to comercials of the products they want you to buy. Its expensive too. I got express ped and man it took 1:20 min the woman was nice but was over complimentary and kept trying to up sell me. I told her many times o was in a hurry had to be back to my baby sitter but I felt she was uber slow!! Polish is already wearing off on fingers and toes and it's only day three. First off beware that most of the pics are not current or from current workers or owner. I have only lived in this area for 1 year and they have 2 different managers and never the same people working. They also always change the prices. They have no definitive price list so any given day your gel pedicure may be $30 may be $40 depending on who you ask. The last time I went in I walked out without even getting my nails done I was told that my full set would cost me $35 but since I want my nail shaped oval that would be an extra five however the lady who just finished getting her nails done in back of me only paid 35 and had oval nails but It was explained to me that it was OK because her nails or squoval so they were square with only a slight oval shape lol. read more

Hummm, where to begin, I stopped into this nail shop as it was close to Sprouts and the wait wouldn't be long to be serviced. I received an express pedicure and my service was completed by the older gentleman that works in the shop. First, the water was freezing cold when putting my feet in. I told the man this and he added hot water, water temperature was luke warm at best after that. The older gentlemen was very rough when handling my feet and I had to tell him so while being service. The "hot towels" placed on my legs/feet were COLD. I was concerned about the clippers/utensils being used on feet as I did not notice them taken out of the sterilization or a sealed pack. The lady at the front was rude as soon as i got in. i got a pedicure and they left the water overfilling and it got my shoes all wet, then she gave a half ass apology and was laughing and giggling along with the other workers. them she came and brought the mop only to mop my shoes... maam i get your job sucks but don't take it out on me. not only that but they also didn't even file my toenails when they cut them. waste of $28 read more

Decided to try out the new salon in my area and was pleasantly surprised. I will say the guy who did my pedi was a little rough but I don't mind that. I wouldn't come here for a relaxing pedi but it was certainly efficient. I loved the way they do the callus remover and my feet are smoother than they've been in years. And I get pedicures all the time. They seemed to move people in and out pretty quickly. It's a cute place and it looked very clean. The tools were taken to the back as soon as we were done so I'm hoping they do sterilize. For my pedi the water was hot, the stones were hot and the towels were hot. I would say the only fault is that it wasn't a spa experience but my pedi looks great. read more

I love this salon! I have only been going here for a short time, since the new owner took over. But I have had the best service, here and even though it's far from my home, I wont be going anywhere else ! I love Evelyn, she is very kind, and her nails last. She cares very much for her clients. I was in a rush and needed a fill and pedi for the Janet Jackson concert and my usual nail spot across the street told me there would be a 30-40 minute wait, on a Monday night no less and unfortunately this has been happening regularly with them lately. Luckily, during my last shopping trip at Sprouts, I noticed a new nail salon opened in their shopping center. So I jumped in my car and headed over. SCORE! The pedicure I received at Nice Nails relaxed me almost immediately! I was also given a cold bottled water (a small gesture but service most salons in the area neglect to offer). The atmosphere is nice. They have a nice sitting area with cute comfortable chairs, the paint colors are inviting and spa-like. I was informed that I may have a callous, gasp! clutch my pearls! Not I! He looked closer and said, no, its not that bad and proceeded to exfoliate "it" away. Whew! Crisis averted! Upon completion my little piggies were back to being soft and pretty :) At the nail station, Diane OFFERED white powder for my french instead of paint. I said sure, but I'm in a rush. She said, "no worries". I watched her work, waiting for her to pull out the metal tool to shape them. She NEVER DID. She flawlessly, quickly, and effortlessly, sculpted white powder by hand. After conversation, I learned she is a nail tech from CA, with over 15 years of experience. She is a natural. A true NAIL TECHNICIAN. My tips were painted pink when I came in so she let me know she also has powder in different colors as well. SCORE! SCORE! I was given a free bottle of herbal massage lotion as a grand opening gift. Sorry Family Nails...you did not treat me as a "regular" and now I have found a new home! Let me start off by saying I picked this place from prior Yelp reviews and I'm really happy I did. I waited only 20 mins which I think is great for a nail place at 5pm in a city. The woman even came over to me to let me know that they would be with me shortly and when I sat down, thank you for waiting. My nails look better than most places and they did it within a decent time frame. I won't say fast, because it was definitely thorough. It was only 45 mins to close and I said I would come back for a pedi but she insisted that they could do it today. All in all, I'll be back. Went there with my daughter as a birthday treat. Got the #5 gel pedicure. It's supposed to have a stone massage (so was my daughters) they didn't do it on either of us. Not sure if the girl was new or what. She kept looking at the list and asking others about the bottles on which to use etc. She also kept trying to get me to change my color selection. Then she didn't realize they were gel colors. And had to stop after the base coat and have someone else finish mine. I think the guy was the manager. He ended up cutting my toe with the cuticle clippers. He was doing it all super quick. He kept dropping the gel light over half my toe. I finally pointed out to him the second time that there was a wrinkle with the polish on my big toe due to this. He tries to paint over it. Then pull it off. It just made it worse. He does another coat and it still looks bad and now I'm noticeably upset so he buffs it and tells me "I don't want you coming back" to which I respond "You don't want me to come back?" And he says "Yea to fix it" short and rude . He also didn't wear gloves and his thumb fingernail (which was really long) looked like it had an infection. So it kept grossing me out when he continued to try and clean the sides of the nails as he was applying coats. I just wanted to get out of there ASAP and was on the verge of angry tears at this point so just kept quiet. I forgot to mention that it took them about 50 mins to get started on us the water was cold and the girl had not even remembered to turn the jets on. I was really bummed by the experience since there's a Bookman's in the same plaza and I was hoping to make it a regular monthly thing where we went book shopping then read while we got our pedicures. I have been here twice for eyebrow waxing, and the woman is phenomenal! She pays really close attention to detail, is very efficient and my eyebrows look the best they have in a llllooonnnggg time. I am a terrible over-plucker, so she helped me bring my brows back to life by trimming them the first time, then reshaping when I went back. Did I mention their eyebrow waxing is $10? I got there 10 minutes prior to my appointment and a completely different person started to do my pedi. When i stated "no thanks, i had an appointment with Jimmy." On March 13th, 2021, 9:15 am I visited the Nice Nail Spa LLC, 8048 N 19th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85021, after over one year due to COVID. Technician 'Rose' did a manicure and pedicure and added nail acetone to the nail polish. She seemed to have done a good job and I gave her a 20% tip. I waited half an hour before I left the salon at 11:20 am, making sure my nails were dried. I left with open toe sandals and did NOT wear closed shoes until 5 pm. My toe nails got ruined when wearing shoes!!! I returned March 14th, 2021, 4:55 pm and explained the situation to the first technician (not Rose) that asked what I needed to have done. I told her what I mentioned above and that I thought the nail enamel was OLD. I would have been happy with the toe nails fresh paint. She just said to wait because there were other previous appointments ahead of me. I was very patient and waited a full hour. No apologies or effort to make things right. I finally left after an hour because I was totally ignored! Now is a week later and all my manicure and pedicure look ruined, the nail polish is peeling and cracking and splitting. This is the worst nail salon I have ever been too. I am very open to trying new places and I decided to try this one out. I waited over an hour to be seen when the initial wait time that was given to me was 15 minutes. It was very unorganized and the receptionist was confused on who was available to do nails. By the time I was seen I spent another hour soaking my feet. They were so wrinkly and white I thought I should just let them sit out before they started on my cuticles. When my manicure was being done I was cut twice and started bleeding, my nails didn't match my toes because the employees said "even though gel is the same color as the regular it will come out different shades" so they spent a long time trying to find a close color. I thought that was kinda nice but after a while they said I have to accommodate them and deal with the mismatched color. I said that was fine because I really wanted to go home. Finally when an employee waxed me she offered to do my lip for free and I thought that was nice... until I got home and realized my lip got burned. I peeled for a couple days. It was pretty bad. All in all I would never go back. They aren't very customer service friendly. read more

They are very friendly but the nail person didn't know what he was doing! He cut the side of my finger, the first time I told him you need to be careful and he kept doing it very rough. The 2 bd time he cut a bigger piece and I had enough I paid for my pedicure and my daughters nails and walked out. Never in my life will I return! Got a pedicure and the people were so warm and nice. The pedicure was super fast! I have not had my toes done in years and they nicely removed all my gross rough spots which believe me they were pretty bad. This was actually my second time in there because the first time I had to get my eyebrows waxed for a wedding I was going to. The chairs were comfy, towels were hot. The lovely spa foot tub was super warm and relaxing. Foot massage, leg massage was wonderful! Would recommend this place to others and as soon as a client moved they would sanitize the foot tubs. read more
