I had my wisdom teeth removed (all 4 at the same time, ouch haha) a few weeks ago and the care I received from the entire staff was top tier. My surgery went very smooth, aftercare was explained thoroughly, and billing was a very simple process. I was also quoted and paid a pretty low price, so that was a very nice bonus as I expected to pay much more. Post op follow up appt was optional and I opted out initially as I thought my recovery would be easy. I was wrong (sadly haha), and in some pretty good pain still about a week post op, which isn't super typical for WT removal. I made a quick phone call to the office and was scheduled the very next day for a follow up just to make sure no dry socket or anything awry was happening. I was reassured everything looked good and just needed to give it some more time. Thankfully now I feel great - just harder healing process because I'm "old" to be getting my WT out ;) I should mention that aftercare (visits, meds, etc) post op was included in the price of the treatment. I was urged by all staff to come back if/when needed and it was nice to feel like I wasn't being burdensome. I even got a check in the mail for a refund for part of my treatment because my insurance covered more than anticipated - really refreshing to see such honest bookkeeping! I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Antrobus, he is wonderful. He answers any and all questions and really makes patients feel comfortable. I would come back for any further oral surgery needs!

Sacramento Oral Surgery - Proof of over charge due to their mistake

My husband experience calmed my high anxiety when it was my turn. I cannot praise Dr. Quo and staff enough. They are kind, thoughtful, professional, knowledgeable but most of all they treat each patient like family. My Husband and I highly recommend Sacramento Oral Surgery Roseville, specifically Dr. Quo and her staff, to anyone needing oral surgery.

I had one of the most stressful and upsetting medical experiences of my life at this dental office,…read moreand I feel obligated to warn others. From the beginning, I was quoted one price for my exam and procedure, only to later be charged more due to an "error" on their part. That error somehow became my responsibility to pay. I was already in severe pain and felt completely trapped--waiting another week to find a different provider was not realistic. I made it clear that I did not want to be put under sedation. During the exam, the doctor probed a severely painful tooth with no Novocaine and pushed all the way into the root pocket. The pain was extreme and unnecessary. Because I reacted to that pain, I was then told the procedure would not be done unless I agreed to sedation. This was frustrating, especially since I've had far worse and more abscessed teeth treated in the past without sedation. After a full week of agony, I felt I had no real choice and agreed to sedation simply to get the tooth removed. What happened next was terrifying. After I was sedated, I was later told directly by the dentist herself that I had "overdosed on fentanyl." I was told Narcan had to be administered because I stopped breathing, and an ambulance was called to ensure I was okay. I had previously disclosed that I have sleep apnea, which increases the risks associated with sedation and should have been handled with extreme caution. Even after the procedure was completed, I was required to remain in the office for what felt like at least half an hour because they were unable to get my blood oxygen levels back to a safe or reasonable range, and my oxygen saturation was floating dangerously low. Despite this serious medical incident, I was then charged to be sedated a second time in order to complete the procedure. When I later attempted to discuss the overcharge and the overall situation with the office, one of my calls was abruptly ended. When I called back and spoke with Nora in billing, I was met with defensiveness, blame, and a complete lack of empathy. I tried to calmly explain my frustration with being overcharged for an incident caused by their own error, but the conversation was repeatedly turned around on me. I was told it was my fault and even told that I had not overdosed--despite that being a direct statement made to me earlier that day by the dentist herself. There was no attempt to work with me on the bill or acknowledge the seriousness of what I had gone through. Because of this office: I was overcharged I was subjected to unnecessary pain I was sedated against my initial wishes I stopped breathing and required Narcan I was charged again And I was treated dismissively afterward At no point did anyone attempt to acknowledge the seriousness of what happened or work with me on the billing. This experience reflects poor medical judgment, unsafe sedation practices, unethical billing behavior, and a complete lack of empathy. I strongly urge anyone--especially those with sleep apnea or concerns about sedation--to seek care elsewhere. No patient should stop breathing, be revived with Narcan, blamed for it, and then billed extra.

Months ahead of time they provided our co-pay amount and said they contact insurance about a week before the procedure to confirm coverage. I never heard back shortly before procedure so I inquired to confirm our co-pay. They emailed and quoted the same amount and said they would check insurance again closer to surgery. Day of surgery they charged us what they told us. Shortly after we received a bill and I called to inquire why. They NEVER checked insurance and turns out they are NOT in network for our insurance. The billing rep I spoke with said she she needed time to look into it. Three follow up calls and a week later and I've heard nothing. I can't help but think if they did their jobs instead of gossiping about patients and parents in the front office as I witnessed these things might not happen. Find another office.

Asking around about Dr. Kim, the general consensus is that he is 'overqualified', which means to me that he truly enjoys his profession out of a love for his practice. The facilities are exactly what the name entails "Serenity". This business obviously benefits from 'word of mouth' regarding the level of care and delivery of precision state of the art dentistry. I opted for sedation for the extraction of a wisdom and molar teeth placing bone for the hopes of an eventual implant. Being out of pocket for my costs, he was entirely gracious to credit me certain parts of my procedure for would have been covered under insurance, but for sake of expediency he was blessed to simply take care of without redundant charges, Much like no labor to replace the water pump after already paying for the timing belt. Dr Kim is an exceptionally brilliant surgeon with a sense of humor to match. Highly recommended for anyone considering advanced oral surgery care.

I have the worst anxiety with these types of things and to make matters worse, I was referred to this office by my dentist after a terrible experience with another oral surgeon (at a totally different practice btw. I'm looking at you Topsmiles in Roseville) so there was some correcting that needed to be done. Two oral surgery's in two weeks, my nightmare! That being said, I was seen by Dr. Andre David Kahwach and I can NOT say enough good things about him. He was patient, super informative and really talked me through what was going on and what needed to be done. When it came time for my actual surgery, he was incredibly caring and made sure I was not in any pain or uncomfortable. I was so nervous to get referred to another random oral surgeon since my last experience was beyond awful, but Dr Kahwach made this process as easy and as enjoyable as possible. I can not recommend him enough! If you need a great oral surgeon, that's your person! Honorable mention to nurse Merari who was also so incredibly sweet, knowledgeable, and informative. Between the two of them, I couldn't have asked for a better experience! Getting oral surgery sucks, but if I ever had to do it again, I would go here without a doubt!
