About a year ago Nick replaced a sidewalk for us. Initially it appeared great, but early into the winter it became apparent that something was starting to happen as there were numerous pits on the surface of the sidewalk. We contacted Nick and he first said that it was due to salt, but since we don't use salt, that's not the root cause. A respectable contractor would come inspect it before simply accusing the customer of something! Anyway, by the spring we were pretty amazed at how bad the sidewalk looked -- numerous pits and even a crack. We contacted Nick numerous times by phone and also sent many texts. He admitted that the concrete was bad, but said it was the concrete and not him. WHAT? I didn't pick the concrete company -- I contracted with Nick and paid him $1600 and HE is responsible. Anyway, Nick said he would eventually get around to replacing it but it's clear that he has no intention of standing behind his work. BUYER BEWARE -- Nick is not a man of his word and he will NOT stand behind his work. My recommendation -- find someone else to do your concrete work. read more
