The workmanship was excellent the gentleman that did the repair work did and exceptional job and was very courteous. If we are to need any type of home repair work and or painting in the future Nickelson Painting would be the first to call on our list and should be on yours. I needed to have a wall repaired with plaster and painting. A technician arrived and examined the issue. A bid was then sent and accepted. (Fortunately, this time the company did not give us an outrageously overpriced bid as they had for some past projects.) The company then called me and stated that a different technician would be arriving to begin working before the office opened and would not schedule it to start during our office hours. Accordingly, I arrived to work before our office opened to let him in. And upon returning over three hours later I could see no work had been done at all. I contacted the company and asked where their technician was. They informed me that he was off completing other projects. Why did you insist I come into work before office hours to let in someone who did not actually do any work until over three hours later? This same technician would leave and return several times, meaning I had to let him back into the building and apartment repeatedly. Did the first technician getting the bid forget to communicate what was needed? On day three of the project, the technician contacts me and informs me he is done for the day. Then about an hour later, he states he needs to return to work on it further. At this time, I am at a meeting and cannot return. I inform the argumentative technician of this fact and that I would contact him when I was done, about an hour and a half from them at a guess. At the hour and a half mark, the technician begins calling my phone over and over while the meeting is wrapping up. I am finally able to answer and the technician is insistent that I return immediately to let him return to work (after he said he was done for the day earlier). The aftermath was that the wall was not made completely smooth, but at least it was painted. I sent the company a survey asking for someone to contact me as I did not want their services again. This would have been a golden opportunity for any business who cared about the client to reach out and see what could be done to repair the mess that they made. But I got not reply. It appears that our business is not large enough or pays enough to warrant their concern. We hired them for a few projects prior. And they have consistency issues with their work quality and pricing variances. If you hire them, you are taking a risk that the work will not be done properly and/or that they will treat you with disrespect. read more

I called to set up appointment to get a price on painting to be done in my home. Didn't show up on time. I had to call to find out if he was coming. Finally showed up and he was a polite person & said he would send me an email with estimate by Monday. It is now Thursday & still have not heard from him. read more

I had Nickelson Painting come out and give me an estimate. Very professional and knowledgeable. Upon doing his calculations gave me some numbers right on the spot explained the process and the numbers and I was sold. A week later the painters showed up on time and got to work. Very profressional painters and work was amazing! I would recommend Nickelson Painting for you painting needs! Also B.W.'s claims I feel to be a stretch. 10 days ago I made an appt for a bid. Not only did they not show at the scheduled time, they didn't call to cancel or reschedule. I love that some people think only their time is valuable. They didn't just waste my time for the appointment, they wasted 2 weeks I could've been looking for a reliable contractor. No respect. read more

WARNING! You should AVOID using Nickelson Painting! My neighbor hired them to paint her house, and they got overspray onto my house, my roof, my landscaping plants and trees and decorative rock. For starters, they never told anyone about their mistake; I found their mess while I was outside watering my plants. After my initial call to them, I had to call back several times before they finally sent someone out to see the damage. When he arrived he assure me it would be cleaned up by the end the week, which never happened, so I went down to the main office to schedule a 2nd attempt for them to clean up for the following Monday. On the 2nd scheduled cleanup day, they no-showed again for the scheduled time, so 'I' started cleaning up 'their' mess myself as best I could. Finally, 2-hours later, their crew finally showed up, but by then I had cleaned the majority of the paint myself. I have tried calling them several times, even asking for the owner, but even he refuses to return my calls. Next, I contacted the BBB because this company had their logo on their website, and began process of arbitration. It turns out, the BBB told me the company shouldn't be using their logo because the BBB had 'revoked' affiliation from this company long ago because of other bad reports. During arbitration, the company sent a beautiful, generic letter dismissing any responsibility, and tried to say they cleaned up their mess, which was FALSE!...I did by myself and I'm still cleaning it even though they say it's cleaned up...and I have pictures to prove it! The crew the owner tried to say was cleaning my house was actually re-painting my neighbor's house because of mistakes and sloppiness they made over there...and yes, it's the same neighbor's job that led to the initial overspray onto my house. This company is sloppy, they don't stand behind their work, especially their mistakes! read more

Nickelson Painting has painted the exterior of our Old House two separate times and both times they did a wonderful job. The contractor and painters communicated to us their plan for painting and any changes that needed to be made. The area was neat at the end if the job without too much damage to existing landscaping. Their flexibility was proven at the end of the job by an add on project that was completed right away. We would recommend them for exterior house painting. read more
