In particular before hiring them, they Jerome with whom we had regular contact, was very responsive. That was the deciding factor before hand for us. Some companies didn't even return our calls. He asked us to count the HVACs, send photos of the units and their returns, and count the returns etc in each room of the home. This helped him to provide a cost and time estimate for the job. He assured us that no matter what that would be the max of the cost then. On the day of the job, he was timely, courteous, professional. This kind of service is very personal as they need access to the entire home, and Jerome treated our entire home very kindly. He gave us a breakdown of what to expect - because of some of the accordion style vent materials he would have to use more delicate means to prevent puncture. This would mean that getting things 100% clean is not likely. At this point I asked if we hired their services each year or more regularly if that would help, and he said it wouldn't. He recommended every seven years - it was an opportunity to mislead us but he didn't. Throughout the two full days of work, he was always straightforward, professional, and trustworthy. He cleaned up after himself as well. Furthermore, our home is a mess with three little boys scattering toys everywhere - he handled it all in stride. The cost, for a 4500 sq ft home, 3 hvacs, etc home, which took 2 full days of work was $1700. Then they provided a 10% discount for us as Mayo employees. We provided a tip above and beyond for our gratitude for his exceptional work. We are very happy with his work through the whole process.

(Fortunately, this time the company did not give us an outrageously overpriced bid as they had for some past projects.) The company then called me and stated that a different technician would be arriving to begin working before the office opened and would not schedule it to start during our office hours. Accordingly, I arrived to work before our office opened to let him in. And upon returning over three hours later I could see no work had been done at all. I contacted the company and asked where their technician was. They informed me that he was off completing other projects. Why did you insist I come into work before office hours to let in someone who did not actually do any work until over three hours later? This same technician would leave and return several times, meaning I had to let him back into the building and apartment repeatedly. Did the first technician getting the bid forget to communicate what was needed? On day three of the project, the technician contacts me and informs me he is done for the day. Then about an hour later, he states he needs to return to work on it further. At this time, I am at a meeting and cannot return. I inform the argumentative technician of this fact and that I would contact him when I was done, about an hour and a half from them at a guess. At the hour and a half mark, the technician begins calling my phone over and over while the meeting is wrapping up. I am finally able to answer and the technician is insistent that I return immediately to let him return to work (after he said he was done for the day earlier). The aftermath was that the wall was not made completely smooth, but at least it was painted. I sent the company a survey asking for someone to contact me as I did not want their services again. This would have been a golden opportunity for any business who cared about the client to reach out and see what could be done to repair the mess that they made. But I got not reply. It appears that our business is not large enough or pays enough to warrant their concern. We hired them for a few projects prior. And they have consistency issues with their work quality and pricing variances. If you hire them, you are taking a risk that the work will not be done properly and/or that they will treat you with disrespect.
