Pretty nice course. Great to practice your short game and teach your kids at the same time. Very scenic. Will definitely be back again.

Alright, let's talk about that Lido track. This ain't no prissy country club where you gotta wear a tie and talk quiet. This is the kinda place where you grip it and rip it! You see that picture of my golf bag? That bag knows what's coming. The whole course feels just like that open fairway, wide open for big swings, but surrounded by that tall grass and the ocean breeze that'll turn a good shot into a lost ball in two seconds. It's got that raw, wild feel, kinda like me after a few. I dress with the right attitude for this course. Red shirt? Sure. Wild pants that would make a blind man blink? Hell yes! You gotta have a big personality to handle the wind out here on Long Island. That wind is no joke; it'll make your slice go three fairways over, at Lido it seems like the wind is always in your face. This course is all about character. The views are great, you got water everywhere, and the layout keeps you on your toes. It's a challenge, sure, but it's a fun challenge. The conditions might not always be perfect, but the layout is historical, and it's got that authentic links vibe. Plus, the clubhouse ain't afraid of people having a good time. So, if you're looking for a fancy round, go somewhere else. But if you want to let the big dog eat, enjoy some serious sea air, and maybe throw a few clubs when the wind takes your ball to a different zip code, Lido is your place. It's wild, it's loud, and it's got a lot of . Just like I always say, "gab a cigarette, crack a cold one, and let it rip"!

I should have known that it was going to be rough when I pulled in and the "pro shop" and check-in locations are semi-permanent construction trailers. The course is in TERRIBLE shape. You will lose your ball in the fairway. The greens have brown and dead patches. There are temporary greens that aren't even close to being considered a green. They simply popped a hole in the fairway and stuck a flag in it. It's impossible to putt on these. The course needs a lot of work and definitely not worth the money. Maybe in a few years it could change but based on other reviews it's looks like it's been terrible for years.

So needless to say we left and went to Kissena Park ( so much better, nobody up your ass, and a nice dry course without goose poop all over the place). I wouldn't recommend this location unless you belong to their click and shoot in the 80's. The course was dirty, wet, goose poop everywhere worse of all tge employees were rude. Should have checked the reviews before I went there. Yelp customers rates them at 2.7 stars. Thats a little high in my opinion, spoke to other golfers and they said, I should have called them 1st for their opinion ( every golfer knows this place sucks)

Food is out of this world and the staff compliments the excellence. Lots of things to do so I joined last month and my wife and I love it. I feel it's a place to belong. I wish I could give more stars! So now two years later after having my daughters wedding prior to becoming a member still feel this may be better than ever with new professional management. This past week end 10/15/17 we had a first birthday bash for our first grandchild. This wasn't a big party but it was perfect. More food than we expected, absolutely fantastic service led by their food and beverage manager "Kenny" more importantly our guests thought it was just PERFECT as well as the phone keeps ringing telling us how happy they were. So We raised this review to five stars as the Club deserved everyone of them. So glad this venue is in the five towns. Low key and easy to enjoy!

Two little rides, a bounce house and a DJ do not a carnival make! If that was the only issue, I would not have even bothered with this review. Sadly, that was just the least of the problems. First we sat down for a poolside lunch. When seated, we were handed 2 menus for 5 people. We ordered our food and drinks, water for everyone and two unsweetened iced teas. The water never arrived and the teas were both flavored with something. Oh, and the French fries that came with the meal were cold. It's possible they were hot at one point, but since it took 20 minutes for a salad, a wrap, and 2 sandwiches, they obviously had plenty of time to cool off. Moving on, we come to the bbq dinner. They offered a decent amount of options, but when the members of a "Country Club" that pay nearly $25000 dollars a year, and their guests, are offered steak that looks like the picture I posted, that is beyond unacceptable. From what I understand, the members are not involved in the restaurant, as a management company deals with their food service now. For $25000 a year, I certainly wouldn't give up my ability to have a say in how that money is spent. From what I have read, the club was bought and the board dissolved 5 years ago, and the new owner's bought the place with "families in mind". I hope they read this review and reevaluate their business model. They say they want younger families that have children to come. If your idea of "kids entertainment" is enough rides to occupy about 30 kids at a time, you might want to reconsider that. Bottom line, as a restaurant owner myself, as well as someone who grew up going to and working at south shore country clubs, this is not the way to do it. It's literally like what Jackie Mason did in/with Caddyshack 2, destroyed a perfectly good original. *Update: I went back and read the other reviews of this place, and it seems like the only good reviews were from people who attended "events" at the club such as golf outings or company dinner parties. That would lead me to believe that the owners are more concerned with taking care of people who come once than the members who are there regularly. Why anyone would pay good money to be a member of a club that doesn't care about their members is beyond me.

I was overwhelmed with the choices and variety. The only downside for me was I was too full to enjoy the filet minion I ordered for the main course, but the few bites I did have were outstanding. What made the entire experience of attending this wedding so excellent was the staff. The cocktail hour staff, the waitstaff, and the bartenders all gave 100%. It seemed like all of them really enjoyed working there and delivering top notch service. The location is also great because at night if you step outside you can see the Manhattan skyline. This was one of the best wedding receptions I have ever attended. Thank you Inwood Country Club!!

Inwood Country Club was such an…read moreelegant venue, management was very patient & accommodating, every detail was well thought-out & executed, and the service was outstanding! We truly had the best evening of our lives, & many of our guests told us that this was the one of if not the best wedding they had ever attended. We had been searching throughout Long Island, particularly Nassau county, for a reception location that struck the right balance between the classiness of the venue, the quality of the food, the reasonableness of the price, event privacy, and the flexibility to customize any details we felt we needed to. Inwood was honestly the perfect balance of these for us, & I cannot recommend it highly enough for those planning a similar event in the Nassau, Suffolk, Brooklyn. & Queens areas of NY. Details by category follow below. We also used & strongly recommend Genesis Events (DJ/MC), Stefans Florist, Silverfox Photography, Camelot Limos, & Front Street Bakery. Coordination with Management & Event Planning: We coordinated with the assistant manager Josephine regularly throughout the process of planning our wedding. She clearly detailed how they intended to set up the venue for us, provided options for customizing per our preferences, answered all of our questions thoroughly, and helped address & accommodate any of our concerns & requests. She ensured that our guests would be welcomed with light refreshments directly following our wedding ceremony (prior to the cocktail hour), which was a huge relief as many out-of-towners did not have anyplace else to go in the 2+ hour gap! Josephine was very courteous & accommodating from start to finish, and was an absolute pleasure to work with. Further, within two weeks of outlining the main details & menu options for our event, we received a precise & reasonable cost estimate from the venue manager Benny, which helped us to make our final determination on the venue with little delay. Menu Planning & Food Quality: We were also able to craft a first-class cocktail hour, dinner menu, & dessert buffet with the club chef, Anthony - a well-seasoned chef with decades of fine dining culinary experience. Having served as the Head Chef at Inwood for several years, Anthony's experience & passion really showed! He has excellent ideas which turned out amazingly; our guests raved about the food throughout the night & for weeks to come. Our cocktail hour was simply breathtaking; our guests were floored by the display & options available, really setting the stage for the wonderful evening to come. This included antipasto, pasta, sushi/stir-fry, carving, & seafood (including full lobster tails & huge jumbo shrimp) stations, along with passing hors d'oeuvres. When selecting these stations during wedding planning, each had a range of options for us to choose from to customize for our guests. Anthony was also able to accommodate dietary restrictions with a vegan wild mushroom risotto entree, which was delicious! He also prepared a demi-glaced & garnished filet mignon, panko-crusted halibut, & chicken saltimbocca, each seasoned and prepared with an assortment of paired sides. The only complaint I heard about the dinner that evening is that people were too full from the cocktail hour to finish their meal! The wedding cake & venetian hour desserts were provided through Inwood CC by Front Street Bakery in Rockville Center. The spread included an assortment of delicious pastries, cookies, cordials, espresso, gelato, sorbets, fruits & berries. An open bar was also provided at the start of the cocktail hour & through the course of the evening, including a quality selection of beers, wines, & cocktails. Venue/Facility: The main country club building served as the venue for our wedding reception, including a vast lobby, bar area, & beautiful dining area. The dining area is surrounded by windows looking out to the golf course and a clear view of the New York City skyline, with an ample dance floor located in the center of the room. The grounds are meticulously maintained & served as an ideal backdrop for our wedding photos. Service: The service staff was excellent, with the logistics of each stage of the evening having clearly been well planned & coordinated. My wife & I were provided with a private room to enjoy our cocktail hour, with a bridal attendant personally looking after us for the whole evening. Our guests received their orders promptly & with little delay within or between tables. The transition between each stage of the evening was elegantly prepared & handled with clear attention to detail as well. Each space was meticulously prepared for the cocktail hour, first dance, dinner, wedding cake, and venetian portions of the evening, with ample & professional staffing throughout. Bottom line: Inwood CC is a fantastic location for anyone looking to host a wedding or other event with great food, service, & style!
