Nice 9 hole course next to the Norman Levy hike and overlooking the water. Can see the Jones beach pencil from the 3rd hole. Just a few par 3's but the longer holes don't have high grass off the fairway. Great course for walking and can easily find your ball.

This is strictly for the driving range. Really fair priced and usually pretty quiet during the week. I'm trying to get better at my swing but I hate being watched or surrounded by too many people feeling judged. Irons only so don't even bother bringing your whole set. Perfect place to go and workers are very nice!

I arrived and paid my course fee $351.89 at 7:08am I've never been there before. I arrived early but they told me there were 2 appointments ahead of us. We tee'd off with Someone asking us to hurry up because there was a large group behind us. Upon getting to the 2nd hole, the counter person pulled up and told us, we only have 25 minutes per hole and we we took 37 minutes ( because we couldn't find where to tee off) Upon getting to the 3rd hole ( didnt tee off yet) the employee that checked us in, told us if we didnt hurry up, he will remove us and give us are money back. We'll this just blew my calm day out of the water. Playing Golf is suppose to be enjoyable. I get it. These ranger people book large groups take your money and push you through. So needless to say we left and went to Kissena Park ( so much better, nobody up your ass, and a nice dry course without goose poop all over the place). I wouldn't recommend this location unless you belong to their click and shoot in the 80's. The course was dirty, wet, goose poop everywhere worse of all tge employees were rude. Should have checked the reviews before I went there. Yelp customers rates them at 2.7 stars. Thats a little high in my opinion, spoke to other golfers and they said, I should have called them 1st for their opinion ( every golfer knows this place sucks)

They had plenty of outdoor seating in their patio area which faces their golf course. We ordered some bottles of wine for the table, and then placed our food orders. We started with some appetizers being their kung pao cauliflower, burrata salad, and muscles in red wine sauce. Delish! As my entree I ordered their branzino which came with vegetables and sweet potato fries. The branzino was perfectly cooked and so good. Everyone enjoyed their meals. We definitely left with full bellies! I can't really say anyone in the area should come here as you need a membership, but I had a great experience and look forward to returning!

The course has had the touches of Walter J. Travis, Robert Trent Jones then New Jersey architect Stephen Kay, whose renovations stretched the back tees to more than 6,800 yards with other major course reshaping. This was the third time I had played Cherry Valley Golf Club in the last three years as a guest. I found the course sometimes challenging especially when I am trying to find my ball in the long fescue rough. Also they have well protected greens with some difficult bunkers. But overall the course beauty off set its difficult play. We had lunch in the new renovated Members guest grill room seated at the bar area that faced the ninth hole. The restaurant walls and floor were in the traditional wood you would find in most Golf Country Clubs. We ordered a salad with Salmon Fish Taco's and Grill Chicken over salad. Overall lunch was okay but the bartender was Frank was great.

You want to know what Mr Charming thinks about Lido Golf…read moreClub? Lord have mercy, just looking at these pictures makes me sweat and think of cold beers. Alright, let's talk about that Lido track. This ain't no prissy country club where you gotta wear a tie and talk quiet. This is the kinda place where you grip it and rip it! You see that picture of my golf bag? That bag knows what's coming. The whole course feels just like that open fairway, wide open for big swings, but surrounded by that tall grass and the ocean breeze that'll turn a good shot into a lost ball in two seconds. It's got that raw, wild feel, kinda like me after a few. I dress with the right attitude for this course. Red shirt? Sure. Wild pants that would make a blind man blink? Hell yes! You gotta have a big personality to handle the wind out here on Long Island. That wind is no joke; it'll make your slice go three fairways over, at Lido it seems like the wind is always in your face. This course is all about character. The views are great, you got water everywhere, and the layout keeps you on your toes. It's a challenge, sure, but it's a fun challenge. The conditions might not always be perfect, but the layout is historical, and it's got that authentic links vibe. Plus, the clubhouse ain't afraid of people having a good time. So, if you're looking for a fancy round, go somewhere else. But if you want to let the big dog eat, enjoy some serious sea air, and maybe throw a few clubs when the wind takes your ball to a different zip code, Lido is your place. It's wild, it's loud, and it's got a lot of . Just like I always say, "gab a cigarette, crack a cold one, and let it rip"!

I should have known that it was going to be rough when I pulled in and the "pro shop" and check-in locations are semi-permanent construction trailers. The course is in TERRIBLE shape. You will lose your ball in the fairway. The greens have brown and dead patches. There are temporary greens that aren't even close to being considered a green. They simply popped a hole in the fairway and stuck a flag in it. It's impossible to putt on these. The course needs a lot of work and definitely not worth the money. Maybe in a few years it could change but based on other reviews it's looks like it's been terrible for years.
