Occasionally, the park will hold certain culture nights, on the weekend that I visited they had a Caribbean night out near the amphitheater. A lot of people showed up and it definitely was not a disappointment. They even had a few celebrity, Caribbean singers. A lot of food vendors and arts and craft vendors were out and about making it worthwhile for the visitors. This park holds a lot of history, the memorial site down near the pond is a great place to watch the sunset. Here's a fun fact, Eisenhower State Park is larger than Central Park in Manhattan. If you ever get a chance to visit, I highly recommend. Not to mention there is also a golf course accessible to the public for a small day fee.

It seems the rest of the park's activities have been upgraded though, such as the kids' apparatus, new and fresh pickleball courts, clean tennis courts and such. The structure of the park is organized and great for the large space. On hot days, there's plenty of shade with trees. The public pool here is large and fun! There is bugs often just as fyi and you need to look online to make sure it's open. There's so much to do here with the different activities!!! Cant wait to see more improvements!!

Might seem long, but we took our time, and one of our players was 85 years young, but a good player, so we moved along quickly. The course itself is an old school set up from the 1930s. Deceptively long, but very fair, and better players will score on it. Myself as not a bad player did well for my first look at it. Reachable par fours, but longer than you think par fives and par threes. Greens were much faster than I thought they would be due to the dampness, but they rolled true and there was not much breaks. Overall fun round at a nice private course on LI close to Belmont Racetrack. Stop in, play a round, and head over for the 9th race!

Warm rink, relatively, as ice rinks go, and the ice was a bit on the softer side. Seating up above the sides which gives a good view from one side of the rink (lengthwise). The whole dome build is similar to a circus tent design - big high center point. Bathrooms had good quality hand towels and electric dryers, and there are four rooms for teams to suit up in for hockey, etc. Small food space under the stairs on one side but not sure if that opens regularly. The hours posted are daily 10-4p, but I'd call ahead and check if you want to be certain - the desk at the front can also deal with park permits, etc.

I was very surprised that they charge $10 for a second parent to go inside, especially since adults aren't allowed anywhere on the structures. They have cubbies for your shoes and belongings. Inside is very cool and clean. They had so many tunnels and bridges around the whole place. My son is only 2 so he was nervous to explore since we couldn't go with him but for older kids I think this place would be a blast. They had little shops, a gym and other activities aside from the tunnels/slides. The also had a toddler room with little slides and tunnels which was great. Looks like they have a small pool and a big room upstairs for parties.

The had a cafe, vet clinic, food store, gym area, charging station for the bikes a path for the kids to ride on! We will certainly be back! They also have a slide the kids can go down on a tube oh and a room or the main area for littles to climb, crawl etc!!

If you go up and down the long way, you can get a nice 3.5 miles in on this baby with some hills. Throw in a weighted vest, and you're getting yourself a solid light workout. There are already so many reviews, so just some notes: 1) Make your way around the current dump (also a Nassau County gem, seriously) and drive slowly. 2) Parking is tricky at certain times of the day and on weekends. Make sure to come before 9:30 on beautiful days, or else you'll be parking far, far away. More steps, If you really want them I guess. 3) Wear your sunscreen! Skin cancer is no joke, and it's pretty bright up top with not a lot of coverage if you walk around to the lake. 4) Beware...No lights in the bathroom and really not the best place to use the loo. There however is a shopping center close by... 5) Look out of all sorts of critters from birds to bugs.. including ticks.
