I can't believe I've lived here in New York for 99.99% of my life and have never been here! To be frank, I've never truly golfed before (unless you count mini golf, ha!) but I had the most perfect afternoon giving it my best shot just this past Saturday. The course here is quite awesome really. Picture an actual 18 hole golf course just much smaller. Each hole ranged from about 60ish-100+ yards. The lawn was beautiful manicured and we even had several deer, rabbit and red robin sightings! As someone who is brand new to golf (I at least own a decent club!), I felt very comfortable at this facility. We only noticed 2 other groups and a single player throughout the course and everyone was patient, polite and friendly. Prices were very reasonable too, at only about $10 a person plus $4 for a pair of club/$1 per ball (if not bringing your own). Just don't forget to pick up your deposit and your ID (they only require one held per group) at the counter on the way out. I'll most definitely be coming back here asap so I can start practicing! read more

Seems there's a common thread around here ... this golf course must be the biggest secret on LI. I've been playing golf for over 25 years, and recently picked it up again because my wife wants to play. How did I not know about this place? Maybe I should keep it a secret. It's a beautiful course, uncrowded, right off the beach, with some stunning views. Also, as mentioned by many others ... brings LOTS of balls. The woods are filled with weeds, thorns, spikes, and lice. Can't beat the greens fees of $11. That's cheaper than a movie and a lot more fun. Parking is $10 ... it may be worth it to get an $80 parking pass. I plan to play a lot here. Wife loves it too. read more

This is a wonderful little pitch and putt. Holes range from 60 to 110 yards with nice wide greens that are in really great shape for being right on the Atlantic Ocean. To find it, go to field 2 and head all the way to the right to the south west corner of the parking lot. You'll see the sign for the golf course and when the last tee time is. Robert Moses State Park Golf Course - A great little pitch and putt on one of the most beautiful spots on earth. - Golf Near Me - Babylon, New York

This is a beautiful pitch and putt course. I play often at Flushing Meadows Park. With holes surrounded by shrubbery, the Robert Moses course has prettier landscapes but also has a tendency to keep more lost golf balls. Bring extras! When I played here this summer, the greens were pretty hard. I lofted several would-be shots on the green that violently bounced past the green. You'd want a putter and a pitching wedge and maybe a 9 iron for the 100+ yarders. read more

Nice course and pretty well maintained for a pitch and putt. It has 18 holes as well, not just 9. I wish you could see the ocean from the course. The only bad thing is you have to pay to park in the beach parking lot which makes the price not worth it. For $19 ($11 to play and $8 to park) I could play at a full size course. read more

Well maintained course at a great price. Great spot to work on your short game with most holes from 60-100 yards

This is a par 3 pitch and putt golf course, despite teh fact that the 13th hole is labeled a par 4. I mean it is only 110 years yards long. Anyway picth and put is the only type of golf I play, and over the years the course here has been mantained much, much better than the one at the Jones Beach State Park. There are soem preet nice views of the ocean, and the holes are not too close together considering it is a public course... A top, top pro woudl probably shoot close to a 40... Me I've shot a 76 at the Jones Becah course, but never, I think, an 80, at this one. read more

This course is west of the parking lot at Field 2. Besides the fact that it's a long walk from the bus stop, and that there are no signs denoting where to walk or what path to walk on, this is a great par 3 course with great vending machines. The greens were tough and sandy which made them easy to bounce off of and the condition of the course wasn't great, but the price was right. It's pretty much the best part of Robert Moses. read more

Fun par 3 with some nice views. Wear bug spray plenty of horseflies. Watch out for poison ivy better off bringing extra balls. Course can be played with just putter and pitching wedge. read more

I'd never played golf before, but my aunt offered to give me a quick overview on this course. I had worked as a waitress at a golf club before, and was worried I'd be heckled by snobby "golf people," but I was so surprised to find everyone was very patient and friendly. I don't think we took much longer than the average pair, and we did skip a hole out of courtesy, but the people behind us never complained and the course was big enough that we only overlapped once or twice. The course is not perfectly manicured, if you're a real pro maybe this would bother you, but for novices and beginners you can't beat it. It's absolutely beautiful to walk along the course and hear the ocean around you. We even had to stop our game to let a mother and baby deer walk across the fairway! My only warning is there's tons of poison ivy, so bring plenty of extra balls. If you hit one into the woods, it's probably too buried in a poison ivy thatch to retrieve. read more
