However, how Empire operates as a company is totally dysfunctional with an owner that only cares about making sure people know he drives a Limited Ram Truck. They cannot answer basic lead time questions of when a job might be completed. My roof was scheduled to be installed and was then canceled without notification. The reason I was eventually told was because the materials were on backorder, and they did not know when ABC Supply would deliver. The materials were sitting in my driveway the entire time. They took the easy route in blaming ABC Supply every time instead of taking accountability for their disorganization. After my job was completed, I had to send numerous emails to have them submit a certificate of completion to release the remaining funds from the insurance. I could not believe it was so difficult to get someone to submit completion so I could pay them the remaining funds. I understand people are busy but there is no internal communication at this company. Below/attached is an actual email I received from the owner Glenn Procknow after asking simple questions about when my job might be completed (after it was initially canceled) so I had an idea. The email is not altered or changed in anyway. I would recommend finding another company to work with if you have any roofing, siding, or gutter needs. It was a terrible install they took the gloss out of an area when trying to remove a seam chip. We came to BAGM with the intent of replacing the damaged counter. When the BAGM person came out to measure the counter he said we didn't need to replace the counter they could repair the area good as new (something Surface Creations said there was no way to repair, so get over it). Low and behold in less than one hour BAGM's Service Rep repaired the defect, good as new! We cannot say enough good things about BAGM. We wanted to use BAGM right from the start but they didn't do backsplashes, and contractors were hard to find so we went with a store that could do it all. Lucky for us the backsplash person did a great job. We highly recommend you consider Bay Area Granite and Marble for your stone countertops. They are good people and very well qualified.

Three months later, I am still waiting for issues to be resolved, with limited to no communication from the company. Multiple doors and drawer fronts were manufactured in the wrong sizes and need replacement. Four additional doors were finished incorrectly. To make matters worse, the hardware holes throughout the project were drilled crooked, causing doors and drawers to be visibly misaligned. The installers were friendly, but friendliness does not make up for poor workmanship, lack of quality control, and inadequate follow-through on warranty and service issues. Had I seen a review describing these kinds of problems before hiring this company, I would have looked elsewhere. In my experience, the biggest issue appears to be the new ownership and the decline in quality and customer service that has followed.
