We have alot of history as today, I am going on my 12th year of being Cancer Free. In the very beginning of my treatment, Dr. Shiffman wanted to go outside of the box, get other oncologists opinions, anything that it would take because my prognois was prettty bad...a few months at the most. From the very first appointment he had me...his warmth was genuine and his determination was strong. I could call the office at anytime of the day with questions...he has a fabulous staff and I get an answer pronto from either the Doctor himself or one of his assistants. Dr, Shiffman held my hand during some very difficult times and decisions. While an Oncologists has to have one of the hardest jobs in the field of medicine, he always greets you with warmth and a generous hug and you, and during that visit, however long it takes, he is all yours 110%. I was very impressed when I receive Dr. Saito's letter explaining about my health when she first transferred to work with the Montage in Carmel because the clinic has very limited a period of times to see a patient. "The board cited several additional reasons for the revocation based on audio recordings of Bergstrom, including jailhouse phone calls that indicated he was practicing medicine while in Monterey County Jail." "According to court records, Bergstrom once inadvertently left a dictation machine running in his office that recorded him offering to sell cocaine or trade it for sex. He admitted at trial that he traded prescription drugs for cocaine." At one point, Bergstrom was my elderly parents' doctor. Bergstrom did not have the patience to care for geriatric patients. Bergstrom may have been good with tall, thin, young, leggy blonde gals BUT I cannot recommend him for senior citizens.

I went in…read morelast minute because I needed an appointment with a primary care doctor and she had a last minute opening (no wonder). There was absolutely no other patients in her office the whole time I was there. Just her nurse. Dr. Park is judgmental and confrontational. She's anti-alcohol (even moderate wine consumption) and anti caffeine. She has a holier than thou attitude. She's also very old-school, traditional. Doesn't sound like she stays up to date on the latest medical research. You couldn't pay me to keep seeing this doctor. She was overbearing and so I told her at the end of the visit that I did not want her as a doctor and that I didn't want her communicating with my other doctors. The next day my other doctor contacted me and let me know she contacted him after I told her not to. He agrees we need a different doctor too. I don't think Dr. Park understands patient privacy rights.

I am 86 and didn't think I really had a chance to have any breast problems. But went to the Breast Center and had a mammogram and a lump was discovered. Biopsied and malignant. Because the lump was small and discovered early, I didn't need Chemo, just radiation. I had that for 5 days and was done. I credit Dr.Tapson for getting me to early treatment and removal of the malignant lump, I owe him my life. Thank you forever.

The…read morereceptionist told me his policy of receiving payment from the patient upfront and then they bill Medicare, and then Medicare bills the patients supplemental. I have never heard of this, but I wanted to understand. I asked questions, asked for clarification, tried to get numbers to go with the protocol. Probably was on the phone less than 5 minutes. The receptionist became irritated and said OMG not under her breath. I feel that was unkind and uncalled for.
