I should have believed the other bad reviews on this website. Just a terrible doctor. I went in last minute because I needed an appointment with a primary care doctor and she had a last minute opening (no wonder). There was absolutely no other patients in her office the whole time I was there. Just her nurse. Dr. Park is judgmental and confrontational. She's anti-alcohol (even moderate wine consumption) and anti caffeine. She has a holier than thou attitude. She's also very old-school, traditional. Doesn't sound like she stays up to date on the latest medical research. You couldn't pay me to keep seeing this doctor. She was overbearing and so I told her at the end of the visit that I did not want her as a doctor and that I didn't want her communicating with my other doctors. The next day my other doctor contacted me and let me know she contacted him after I told her not to. He agrees we need a different doctor too. I don't think Dr. Park understands patient privacy rights. read more

I am a caregiver for an elderly client of this doctor. This doctor has failed to keep accurate records, communicate changes in medications clearly, and her and her staff are generally unhelpful for any problems that arise. They can manage to do a checkup check in ok. They have gotten a few things right before too, but I would never trust anything from them without double checking, because they certainly don't. My client was on double meds(they were letters apart) accidentally for over a year before she noticed during a hospital visit. She also sent a prescription for the wrong dose, denied it, then admitted it. When I brought these issues up, they immediately decided to drop my client from their care. I saw Dr. Park a couple of years ago, and have since moved to see another physician, because I wasn't happy with the care I received from her. I don't usually write negative reviews, but I feel I need to share my experience with those who are looking for good medical care. I saw her twice in total. The first time was an establishing-care visit, when I was told I had a heart murmur. She wanted to do an ultrasound on my heart, and I agreed. She pulled up this very old ultrasound machine and spent about 5 minutes looking at my heart with it. She told me that there was nothing to worry about. When I received the EOB from my insurance company, I saw that she billed over $500 for the ultrasound. Before I left the office, I asked if I needed to pay for any portion of the visit and tests, and was told they would bill my insurance first and send me a bill later. In the follow-up visit, which was about 10 days after the initial visit, I also asked about payment and received the same answer. Shortly after the second visit, I received a bill from them, including a $25 "late charge" because I didn't pay for my first visit. It's all about the money! There's more: I have recently scheduled to see a cardiologist; thinking the ultrasound would be a relevant piece of information, I put it as part of my medical history. When my cardiologist requested the record from Dr. Park, she wouldn't release it unless I pay a fee! I have never encountered a physician like this! I'm still above ground thanks to Dr. Park. She diagnosed a life-threatening condition, made arrangements for treatment by specialists, even visited me in the hospital after surgery. She knows her stuff. Yes, there's just the doctor and her assistant, but they get authorizations to my insurance very quickly, and stay on top of medication refills. Been going to Dr. Park over ten years now. My wife also goes to Dr. Park. read more

Average wait time with this doctor is more than 40 minutes- with an appointment. She works in a small, cramped office where the only receptionist is basically the doctor's only assistant for everything. So if they need to get x-rays or hospital results before moving forward, everyone else waits while the receptionist makes phone calls as necessary. The doctor is nice enough, but most of the time I could tell she hardly cared. Overall horrible experience. read more

I think it would be rather hard to find a better internist, and I'm pretty particular about selecting my doctors. Dr. Park is quite pleasant, very concerned about my present and future health, and gives me good advice for preventing problems down the road. And I believe she's up to date on current thinking about health screening and treatment. Her receptionist, and her medical assistant, are also good. Right after I entered the office at 9:30 for my most recent appointment, the receptionist greeted me and gave me a health-status questionnaire to fill out. As soon as I finished, the medical assistant took me into the exam room, where I waited only 2 or 3 minutes for Dr. Park to come in. read more

This was one of the worst if not worst experiences I have ever had trying to establish care with a new PCP. Everything was going okay until she actually came in the room and asked what brought me in today. I just explained that I just recently got insurance and needed to establish care. She did a quick "assessment"... I gave her a little back ground on my medical hx. I told her I had this weird heart anomaly and she told me oh, you are going to get atrial fibrillation. I told her that I saw a cardiologist for it and it was benign. I told her I would like a medication that I used to take that really helped with my anxiety and she tried to talk me into taking an entire different medication, I wasn't asking for a benzo or anything... She looked in my ears...."you have some ear wax.... get some drops you can get them OTC".... I told her I have neck and back pain due to bad posture she says "sleep on a pillow on your back and your chin should be straight and in neutral position" ummm I don't sleep on my back if you cared to ask... I'm not going to start just because you think its the cure all to my back and neck pain. I get it Harvard blah blah blah, HIT school blah blah blah.. I also get some doctors really have no bedside manner (RN here) but really?! Very uncomfortable. She basically didn't listen to anything I said.... and was like a robot. This is wrong, this is how you fix it is her approach. She noticed a blemish on my forehead pointed it out.... didn't give me any advice for that! Never going back. Missed my follow up appointment that they didn't call to remind me of and now I owe them $50 bucks. Awesome :D read more

I initially loved this place as I was diagnosed off the bat. Then a year later I had switched insurance companies and was no longer in network which is fine but I'd like to know what I need to pay up front. I asked them multiple times how much and to confirm with Dr. Park and they said they weren't sure they would bill me. Then I get to the office and I get slammed with a 95 dollar fee to be examined. I said to the receptionist/assistant don't you recall our phone calls where I asked you numerous times how much it was going to be? She just looked off in to space and said let me go talk to Dr. Park where she came back and said that's how much it will be and I again said do you not recall our conversation? I paid the fee because what else am I supposed to do? I reran blood work at that time and my thyroid was normal and I brought up that I felt I was misdiagnosed and would like to confirm and all Dr. Park could tell me we can retest in a year, let's just play the guessing game with my health. Well I just found out I'm pregnant and her staff ignored my calls until I decided to call 3 times in a row which finally got them to answer and then they basically told me to go elsewhere because they're too busy right now. The receptionist then became extremely rude and continued to make snarky comments. I will never refer to them, this is the worst practice I have ever been to! read more

I am happy with Dr. Park and her office because she has always been able to see me on short notice, even within the same day if something has come up. I always receive quality service and have never waited more than 10 minutes for an appointment. Dr. Park is a little bit emotionally distant but she gets the job done. read more

If the front office person reflects anything about how this doctor cares for her patients, stay away. She left for lunch, locked the door, did not call me to inform me that my aged friend would be ready for pick up. Instead she left and locked the door. When time passed and no pick up call came, I went to the office. Door locked, I banged on the door long and hard. Nothing. Found out later my aged friend was inside and could hear my banging but no one came to the door. What kind of a doctor would not go to the door? Why does she make her patients wait up to an hour before being seen? Arrogance and lack of human kindness is certainly part of the problem here. It is the doctor's responsibility to train her staff. This doctor apparently does not care. read more

Was looking for a new doctor in the area when I switched insurance. Appointment process was simple, but they refused to book my annual and instead charged for some kind of consultation, which was billed differently. I continued with the appointment because I was already there. Doctor did not seem to care much about my health history but latched onto certain items with a patronizing tone while not listening to others. Some of the advice seemed more personal opinion than medical. The assistant gave me some lab forms for blood work, which I immediately took to a lab, where I was told that the doctor had not filled in the diagnosis key, and that that over site would cause the labs not to be covered by my insurance. I had to do a back and forth to get the new lab forms. I never actually heard about my lab results, assuming they were negative. They also billed my insurance three times because they refused to accept the insurance agreement, but luckily I did not have to deal with that. I'm now at a different practice. read more
