They told me they would call and receive the MRI results. Arrived 30 minutes early to get all my paperwork done. It took over an hour to call me and to see the doctor. When he finally came in he asked, "do you have your MRI results"... then proceeded to ask me 3 more times where I got this MRI done. I was there for over 2 hours sitting and waiting, while this could have been solved with a prior phone call from the doctor saying they needed the results. This was the office in Princeton on Ewing Street.

I was given a full examination and evaluation and I was given all the time I needed, by both these practitioners, to discuss and clarify my questions. I left this visit with a clear understanding of my treatment options, a pair of trial hearing aids, and with the names of specialists available for additional consultation if necessary. Mainly, I left with confidence that I've found a treatment team on whom I can rely to provide me with excellent ongoing care and support for all my hearing issues in the future. Needless to say ,the other , Becker ENT , would only fit her in at an office 40 minutes away and with an appointment time 4 hours from the time of the call, when they have an office 10 minutes from our house. She even called last night for an emergency call for this problem. She was in pain and the site was bleeding. She did everything they told her to no avail. I guess 12 hours of pain wasn't enough. But was not told until after I was already checked in, by the doctor himself, that he no longer does thyroid surgery. Nor does any one else in the practice. So instead of telling me to go to a doctor who could help me earlier soonest, I have now wasted weeks on what is potentially a cancer diagnosis (won't know until it comes out). I was also then given two names of people that could do the surgery, both of whom were either not taking new patients or could not see me for at least eight weeks. Please do not go to this practice if you are seeking assistance with your thyroid. This practice may be great for other things but it appears that it does not include working with the thyroid.

At both locations, be prepared to wait a long time without explanation or apology (unless you ask repeatedly) and listen to front staff discussing confidential matters. Despite these misgivings, I went for a follow-up appointment - which didn't happen because there was an issue with my name in the software they use. All through the repeated text/email updates and the portal pre-registration, my name was correct. Why this glitch, god only knows. My choice was to wait until they could figure it out, or reschedule. While having listened to the front staff discuss the issue loudly and at length (without realizing they were talking about me, as if I was not sitting there RIGHT in front of them) without telling me why I still wasn't being seen, I decided I had no more patience. Oh and when a doctor tells you he's looking forward to confirming a rare case of *** in you (for his own development?) after just having told you it could potentially be a tumor - and you put him straight by saying "well, I hope it doesn't get confirmed!" - his bedside manner needs work.

My issue wasn't resolved with his solution and I knew from the initial exchange that I wouldn't be coming back for a follow-up. In addition I paid a significant amount of money, due to my insurance coverage, but was then sent several notices of a remaining $17 charge on the account. The bill was very unclear showing a "Patient Payment" that was significantly less than what my card was swiped for. When discussing the issue with the billing department I was told that they recently changed systems or processors, and that I was never supposed to receive the bill (or 2 and a final notice regarding the account going to collections? for $17?) and that I actually had a credit for the amount the bill claimed I owed. This bill was also only for a portion of the visit, which is why it showed a lesser amount charged. (Oh that clears things up.) Needless to say a check is being mailed to me, and that will be my final interaction with this office. If you're looking for carelessness, quick turnover and a lack of compassion for whatever your ailment is, this is the place for you. If you actually want to feel like your Dr. is invested in your case and not just seeing dollar signs in your eyes, I'd rethink this office.

He explained that he was going to check my ears if both were impacted with wax in my ear canal. It was my left ear that was clogged and he then took out his ear tools and "vacuumed all of it out" in a few minutes. Also, Dr. Navarro had a sense of humour which I like in a person. My hearing improved immediately and no longer had a full ache in that ear. Thank you Dr. Navarro.
