Both of these practitioners were excellent - highly professional, very friendly and completely attentive to the concerns I raised regarding my long-standing hearing problem. I was given a full examination and evaluation and I was given all the time I needed, by both these practitioners, to discuss and clarify my questions. I left this visit with a clear understanding of my treatment options, a pair of trial hearing aids, and with the names of specialists available for additional consultation if necessary. Mainly, I left with confidence that I've found a treatment team on whom I can rely to provide me with excellent ongoing care and support for all my hearing issues in the future. They have my highest recommendation.

Needless to say ,the other , Becker ENT , would only fit her in at an office 40 minutes away and with an appointment time 4 hours from the time of the call, when they have an office 10 minutes from our house. She even called last night for an emergency call for this problem. She was in pain and the site was bleeding. She did everything they told her to no avail. I guess 12 hours of pain wasn't enough. They wanted her to wait another 4 and drive 40 minutes to get there. Thanks so much, we'll be switching to a this much more compassionate doctor.

Two days later I called to say it the wax wasn't all gone and I wanted more info on the procedure. They said the doctor would call back. He didn't. I called back again, 3-4 days later. Still no call back. I sent a message through the patient portal. No response (it had then been two weeks since I called originally!). I had to make another appointment, that they then wanted to charge me for. I waited for 45 minutes AFTER my scheduled appointment before I left, without getting my ear fixed. I'll see someone else. These guys SUCK.

I have been a patient of Dr. Jaffe for over 15 years and aside from a few appointments where I…read moredidn't get into an office due to emergency surgery or other issues, I have always been very satisfied with the care provided by him and his office. I used to get wax buildup over the winter as a kid, and when we opened the pool in the spring every year, I would inevitably get an immediate 50% or more hearing loss from the water and wax causing a plug in both ears. Since it was a gradual buildup over 9 months, I had already lost some hearing without even noticing it until that first swim. He flushed my ears and I couldn't believe how well I could hear again, like the flapping of a flys wings. When I suffered a concussion, I starting having balance problems. He knew just what medication to prescribe to minimize the condition and only tested my hearing if I noted a possible hearing loss, with an occasional baseline test for comparison. Never tried to "upsell" tests unless necessary. And a great conversationalist. We could talk for hours if there was time. He's retiring in 2024, and I will miss his friendly nature and expertise. Miss ya, doc- enjoy your retirement. You deserve it. I will continue using the practice with another doctor and I'm sure we'll develop a solid relationship as well.

He said that it looked like i was losing my hearing in one of my ears. "What about the water sensation, what can that be" i asked? This is where he beomes an as*hole. He says, " I hear that all of the time, your losing your hearing and theres nothing you can do about it" Word for word that is what he said, i wish i recorded it. He went through other possible causes and logically ruled them out. Bottom line choices were two; do nothing and see him in a year, or check out what a small hearing device might do to improve the situation. Made sense. I took an appointment to explore that option in a few weeks in the same office with Bucks Mercer Hearing Centers. No charge for the introduction to the variety of technology available today. Everyone in the office was pleasant from front desk, to audiologist, to Dr. Mallen, to last stop for next appointments. At both locations, be prepared to wait a long time without explanation or apology (unless you ask repeatedly) and listen to front staff discussing confidential matters. Despite these misgivings, I went for a follow-up appointment - which didn't happen because there was an issue with my name in the software they use. All through the repeated text/email updates and the portal pre-registration, my name was correct. Why this glitch, god only knows. My choice was to wait until they could figure it out, or reschedule. While having listened to the front staff discuss the issue loudly and at length (without realizing they were talking about me, as if I was not sitting there RIGHT in front of them) without telling me why I still wasn't being seen, I decided I had no more patience. Oh and when a doctor tells you he's looking forward to confirming a rare case of *** in you (for his own development?) after just having told you it could potentially be a tumor - and you put him straight by saying "well, I hope it doesn't get confirmed!" - his bedside manner needs work.
