At the time I was regularly going to see Dr Shutko, it was actually life changing. I was struggling with chronic headaches that were causing me to be incapacitated at times. The staff were always welcoming and kind, the doctor is easily one of the best chiropractors I've ever been to, and on top of that, the office was nice and relaxing, with peaceful views. Dr Nicole explains with so much detail which makes you so comfortable to know she is very knowledgeable and very friendly and makes you feel at home. I felt she will be able to help my daughter!! My husband, myself, and our daughter have been seeing Dr Nicole since beginning of the year. The environment is very welcoming and easy to adjust to. It's a non intimidating atmosphere and everyone is very helpful and strive to ensure you understand what to do and what's going on with everything from equipment to your body responses. I came to Dr. Shutko when I found out I was pregnant because I read that correct body alignment can help with a more comfortable and easy pregnancy and delivery! I am all for alternative medicine and believe in creating harmony within the body, so I am glad to have found Dr. Shutko. I have a history of a neck fracture and was nervous about adjustments in my neck. She made me comfortable from Day 1 with aligning my neck but using a frequency device to adjust until I was ready for full hands on adjustment, which has been amazing. Dr. Shutko is very outgoing, always puts a smile on my face and makes everyone feel like they are her BFF, her bedside manner is top notch!!! I have seen Dr. Shutko for 4 months now, I am 8 months pregnant and my posture has IMPROVED (posture pics attached). That would not have happened without seeing a chiropractor. Dr. Shutko is very engaging, upbeat; detailed with information, and extremely excited to help in her line of chiropractic services. For four months, I met with an orthopedic, a rheumatologist, two neurologist; and one acupuncturist to which my neuropathy became progressively worse over time. I felt there was no hope and it would be an ailment that would be a part of my life forever. *insert drum roll here* Dr. Shutko is awesome! She sent me in for an Xray because she could see when I bent over there was a slight curve in my back. After looking over my neck and spine she determined the issue causing my spasms, as well as the neuropathy in my hands, to be brought on by the slightly pinched vertebrae impacting my nerves. I've never met a doctor so happy to help yet Dr. Shutko could tell I was tired of suffering. I was told I would see results yet it wouldn't be done overnight. After 5 visits, I go in for my 6th today, I woke up the past two days without a spasms, got excited when I started developing some feeling in my hands again, and follow the foam roller exercises suggested before/after work/bed. Lengthy Yelp reviews isn't my forté yet it's so deserving for Dr. Shutko. She goes beyond what patients look for in bedside manner. I HIGHLY recommend her as a chiropractor. Dr Shutko has been treating my daughter (1yr) for about 2 months for chronic ear infections. Our pediatrician was talking tubes and I wasn't quite ready to go down that path. We have NOT had a single ear infection since we started with Dr Shutko and I couldn't be happier with the overall results. Not only has she not had any ear infections, she's also just not really been sick at all. I love the team here. So warm and welcoming and friendly faces all around. I was very pleased with my treatment and felt renewed after my second visit. I love going to the chiropractor because it truly does make me feel like a new person. I highly recommend visiting a chiropractor just to make yourself feel physically and mentally better. I've been to a few chiropractors and every office is different. When entering a chiropractic office, I keep a very open minded because I know how different every doctor and practice is. Here are some of my main points for Health Choice Rehabilitation Center: -Parking is not ideal. I came when parking was still ok but when I left the lot filled and I just could barely get out of my spot. I wish a took a picture of the lot, but its just not ideal at all. -I waited for awhile to be seen because there was no front desk person/assistant. The doctor was running the office by herself. -My insurance was not checked prior to my appointment because she insisted we get that taken care of when I arrive. Granted, I was a new patient that booked an appointment the same day, with only an hour before my appointment. (Bonus points for fitting me in!) When I arrived, there was an issue with checking my insurance, so the doctor just told me not to worry about it and charged me my office visit fee that was stated on my card. Again, I've been to 2 previous chiropractors and I have a VERY low doctor visit fee, so I was incorrectly charged due to error with the system. It wasn't a hefty difference, but its just principle...My point of this is that if there was a front desk person, they could've solved this problem while I was being treated and solved by the time I checked out. -It was way too crowded for my preference. If there is only one doctor on staff and no help around, like assistants, she shouldn't overbook herself. While I was being treated, 2 other people arrived to get treated, and the waiting room was filled! -I personally liked having the doctor use their hands to really adjust me and work on my muscles, but Dr. Shutok has this advanced massager that does that instead. I personally feel that if the doctors feels it with their hands themselves, they can really focus on problem spots more and recognize them, while a machine can't. -I am definitely not use to lying on roller beds with other people in the room. Very strategic in regards to space, but just not what I'm use to in regards to privacy. -Did not enjoy this "Vibe" machine she used. It literally vibrated you intensely...I felt so uncomfortable that I wanted to stop mid session. Dr. Shutok was extremely nice and personable. Even though she was running around trying to cater to everyone, which she did extremely well, I just don't feel comfortable with that. I know for sure things will probably be different when she is staffed properly. I just wished she didn't overload herself, especially knowing that I was a new patient ( and the woman that was also there at the same time I was a new patient as well). I don't think I would return. I recently injured my back & got a herniated disc. It hurt so bad I could barely lean forward to wash my face or brush my teeth. The building is nice & modern from the outside, my style :) Inside, the facility was clean & the service was excellent. Dr. Nicole was very professional & took the time to listen to exactly where the pain was & explained to me what went wrong & how we can improve this condition. After a few trips, during the first month, i felt significantly better. I'm going on my second month with just 1 visit every 2 weeks & the pain is 98% gone. I had been to several other chiropractors and doctors for an issue I was having with my sternum, and I was close to giving up and just living with it! After my first time coming to Dr. Shutko she knew exactly how to help with the pain I was having. Since I started coming I've seen improvements, and even feeling better in areas where I had minor pain too. Aside from that, everyone who works in the office is so sweet and caring about you and your progress/concerns. They have some amazing machines that I haven't seen at other offices and also sell some of what they use on you if you want to use it at home. The finance options for if you plan to come for a long time are really fair and there's also the pay as you go option which I do since my schedule is always changing. I Absolutely love love love this place. So professional and great people all around. This has been a life changing place. They really know how to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. I originally went to Dr. Shutko with a very tense, stiff, and painful and lower back issue . I was in so much pain that it affected my mobility and my day to day activities. After a thorough set of X-rays Dr Shutko was able to further evaluate and diagnose my issues then she created a treatment plan that would work for me. As I continued working through this treatment plan I felt so much better and my mobility was basically back to normal. I continued working the entire treatment plan knowing that the maintenance phase was equally important to sustain my results. In additional, I learned a lot about how to maintain a proper posture , good stretching techniques, as well as everyday techniques to better care of my back and neck. I'm writing this review to caution others who are in pain and want to get better. Dr Shutko is charismatic and personable, so I was excited and hopeful especially because of her website and reviews, but unfortunately, I left discouraged after several visits and my impression is she tries to increase the number of times you visit so you are dependent on her care. Few examples include: The first visit is a consultation and does not include any examination on the chiropractor table, and she said she does not treat until she sees the x-rays. After getting the x-rays, she said my spine wasn't the perfect arch and there was an extra vertebrae in the spine (which a doctor later confirmed is incorrect), and therefore a lot of work would have to be done. During the second visit, before providing any treatment, her office manager quoted me 40 visits plus lasers and decompression that amounted to over $4000 after accounting for insurance, and said "if you pay in full now, you can get a discount." I asked the doctor if all that treatment was necessary, and she said yes. She hadn't yet checked my body/spine and concluded it would require 40 visits+. This conclusion was drawn from taking pictures, measurements, and looking at the x-rays -- before going on the chiropractor table. It all seemed odd. I was lucky to find a fantastic chiropractor located in the same neighborhood (same strip mall as Sweet Frog and Goodwill on 43rd st). read more

This place is very sketchy. I was charged well over $300 for a consultation and 15 mins on a roller bed. Initially I paid $85 for a special, but somehow my insurance was still charged an additional 300+. The charges would've been fine had I received some type of resolution to my back pain. I highly do not recommend Nicole Shutko. I ignored her other 1 star reviews because I had been having some neck pain and friend had seen Nicole in the past. I have never been to a chiropractor before so understandably I had questions and ultimately was a bit confused by her process. Her staff did not seem to fully understand what was included in the "new patient" package so I eventually was able to speak with Nicole, which I though would calm my nerves. Wrong! All I was trying to explain to her is that I do not normally see chiropractors and do not plan to make this a regular thing. I wanted to come in for a realignment to see if it could make my recent neck pain go away. She used a condescending tone saying that "first I need to pay her for time, honey" and make a consultation appointment. Okay first, don't call me honey, but okay, understandable, I figured we'd do it over zoom or the phone since there's a pandemic and all. Nope, have to come in for a consultation, then once treatment is determined make an additional appointment for a later treatment. I was curious that an $85 consultation didn't come with at least a quick alignment. The second treatment would cost another $65 and be scheduled the following week and that I would need to come in weekly for my pain to go away. How would she know how many treatments I would need without a consultation appointment or x-rays (which she told me she does not even look at x-rays)? Overall, she was extremely unwelcoming and in my opinion, has a Jesus complex. She tries to push services and treatments on you that you do not need all while making you pay $150 just to wait 2 appointments for a "possible" alignment? No, thank you! There are plenty of WARM and WELCOMING chiropractors who know what they are doing and LISTEN to their customers. read more
