We were in need of a new washer and dryer and decided to start at Nielsen Appliance before hitting the chain stores in Eugene. We are so happy with the service we received there. Excellent, high quality service at a very reasonable price. I called them for information on repairing our ten-year-old Kenmore dryer. They quoted me a very fair base visit estimate to do the work at our home on South Willamette, Eugene. The price included the trip and a half-hour of labor (parts extra). Additional labor would be charged in 15 minute increments (very reasonable rate, too). The repairman (Chris) showed up on time, was extremely polite and professional, diagnosed the problem, made the repair, with NO labor charge beyond the base price quote (and the work actually took him a little longer than thirty minutes). The charge for the parts was minimal. I gave them the model number when I called, and Chris had everything he needed. When he finished, the dryer hummed along like new. Sweet! You don't have to search further. Nielsen's Appliance is perfect. Five stars all the way! read more

Amazing service and price competitive! They were so helpful when we remodeled our second home, bought our new appliances from when we built our forever home and found what we needed when we had to replace some worn out items. Our new replacement freezer had a noisy fan assembly and Don worked on it until the irritating noise disappeared. Their service people are knowledgeable, friendly and willing to help whenever needed. Normally would have giving them a five star rating have had them come out several times over the past 30 years to fix what ever appliance that need repaired and was very satisfied with service but that was then and this is now. Called to have a repair done on our washing machine and now they only come out for service and repairs ONLY if you bought the appliance from them. We came in to purchase a cooktop and the gentleman helping us was very informative, but the the lady behind the counter has very poor customer service. She rudely asked us to step away from the counter so they could help a "paying customer ". We were there to purchase a cooktop, apparently we're not paying customers. We won't be back. I spent $1600 plus another $200 on a warranty on Jan 2022. Now 7 months later we pulled the fridge forward to clean & paint behind it As soon as we moved it about 1 foot it was ripping a gash in my flooring. Went to the store with pictures and showed don the owner the leg/wheel is broken & the disaster it made on my floor. He said I can't do anything for you call your insurance agent & file a claim. Sure I'll pay a $1000 deductible for $700 in flooring that was installed in November 2021. 7 weeks before the fridge was delivered. Don said and I quote any idiot knows to raise the leveling legislation up before you move a fridge. He said call whirlpool and tell them the wheel is broken & if your warranty covers it I'll come out & replace it for you. Other than that issue if you are not here to buy something else you need to just go home & make some phone calls. I would never recommend his store to my worst enemy. read more

Nice little small business appliance shop. They sell used as well as new. They check out the used appliances and fix them if they need repaired. A lot more reliable than Craigslist. Sometimes the new appliances are more expensive than the big box stores, but you aren't getting that big box special with corners cut during manufacturing to reduce costs. read more
