What a scare-tastic time! - They didn't needa charge parking. (Parking should already be part of the $120 price (240 for 2).) + Thank goodness they provide tents like they said they would. + The scare actors were really in character! And highly amusing and gave a good chase. + Elaborate setup. Scare mazes, props, actors. Organized and effective. + Giant projector screen at the center of camp to showcase all the scares going on xD + Truly an all-night scare event. Even tents aren't off-limits til crack of dawn ;) . At first I thought I'd need night vision. Turns out there're enough lights and moonlight to see fine enough. -- MOSQUITOES!! They weren't kidding with their warning. I got 30 bites! At the beginning I had applied an excessive amount of repellent. But I did not reapply every hour. Reapply! . Tip: wear sleeves. Cover your forearms and lower body. I got no mosquito bites from the neck up though. 6-8 bites per limb though. - No proper restrooms. Only porta-potties. - No portable sink or hand sanitizier. + lol for an extra $5 (or was it $10?), you get a red glowstick to put on as a necklace to indicate you want extreme terror. + The first activity, exploring big shipping containers and warehouses to clear out zombies, was very fun. - They stated the rule that you must headshot the zombie to kill it. But some zombies we headshot 10 times, they just keep coming at us :o - Kinda sucks that at the end there's a surprise gunman zombie who just nails us all despite us repeatedly shooting him. - The gun upgrade prob shouldn't've been a side $10 option; should just come included in the $120 price. + The other first activity, zombie maze with flagbelts, was also very fun. - Weird the orientation video mentioned squishy toys, but they didn't have any. + But turns out the empty water bottles lying around work too. Sometimes. Guard those flags around your waist! . The next main scare activity, the 5 slashers' hunt via the forest-wide excursion, started out exciting at first, around 10:30 or 11:30pm. But you can wander far enough through the thick shrubbery, you can remain by the creek forever unfound for over 1/2hr with nothing to do. Gets boring. - Lotta sharp branches and thorns out there. Beware splinters. - Gotta sneak back into camp and blend in among the dead, since you're still there for the overall event and get your money's worth. - Sucks that you remain vulnerable even if you partake in other activities like tug-o-war. + Nice touch keeping horror movies running in the background on the other giant screen at all times. + Intense final chase at 6am. ~7 remaining survivors. Any volunteers get a red marker as a "knife" to chase down the survivors. The last survivor wins a ticket to their next event. . The round starts with slashers surrounding the survivors. eep! - Thing is, they can't confirm who of the very last 2 survivors was truly marked last, since the chase spreads out wide. - Their email responsiveness is hit-or-miss. - They said they give you something for leaving a review. I did, but they haven't responded to any of my follow-ups. . Fair price. $120 for much scary action-packed activities for almost 10 hr. read more

10/10 We had a fantastic time at Camp Coffin Creek. Check-in was a breeze, and our tent was plenty big enough for the two of us and all the stuff we brought. The food at the concession stand smelled and looked great, although we were too busy trying to survive to actually stop and eat. The camp and surrounding areas were designed incredibly well. Everything was clean and organized while still having the perfect run-down, dilapidated summer-camp appearance. Horror movies played on a huge outdoor screen, techno-horror music blasted throughout the camp, and monsters constantly roamed the grounds. It created a fun, energetic and genuinely creepy atmosphere. The staff was excellent. Their costumes looked great, and everyone stayed committed to their characters. We also had a bit of a medical emergency during the experience, and the entire staff, including the monsters, handled it perfectly. They didn't baby us or completely break character, but they continued checking on us throughout the night to make sure everything was okay. They were spectacular: very good, and very evil. We loved both the Fight and Flight attractions. In Fight, you move through an infected camp searching for a cure while blasting zombies. If a zombie touches you, you become "infected." At the end, they scan everyone with a black light, identify the infected campers and administer the "cure." It was interactive, creative and a lot of fun. Flight was much more physical and intense. You sprint, crawl, hide and try to escape while zombies hunt you. Each camper wears three flag-football-style flags, and the zombies try to snatch them. You must escape with at least one flag remaining to win. Some zombies loudly groan and charge at you in plain sight, while others stay completely silent and hide in the darkness, waiting for you to pass. Between the darkness, fog, creepy atmosphere and uncertainty about where the next zombie was hiding, it was intense as all get out. Afterward, we were taken into the forest for the survival portion of the night. We spent approximately 30 minutes running through the woods and evading slashers. Somehow, after being chased through the darkness by a group of psychos, we made it out of the forest alive and returned to camp. Back at camp, there was a series of traditional camp-style games with horror twists. There was always something happening, something to explore or something trying to kill you. The entire night remained entertaining from beginning to end. Camp Coffin Creek was such a unique experience. It was far more than simply walking through another haunted house. It was interactive, intense, exciting and, at times, genuinely exhausting, in the best possible way. We would absolutely recommend it and will be coming back for anything else these guys host. 10/10. read more

Nightmare Rising/ Camp Coffin Creek. Absolutely do not recommend. The check-in process was a complete mess from the start, and the tent was disgusting with garbage left inside and underneath. The bathroom (singular porta potty for 250 people) was disgusting, pitch black with no lights, and had no handwashing station anywhere outside. Worse, a handful of staff and actors were completely unprofessional. They were hostile and verbally abusive, yelling profanities directly at people in a completely non-playful, non-scary way. Was literally told "F*** you, you signed the waiver". They hide their behavior behind the signed waiver & disclosures on their website. read more

This was probably the most fun I've had at a haunt ever, genuinely feared for my life at certain points. The actors were entertaining and terrifying, I don't think I had more than 10 consecutive minutes of rest at a time. If you take yourself too seriously this isn't the haunt for you, just run, scream, participate as much as humanly possible and you'll have a good time. I would've stayed longer if I hadn't had work the next morning, definitely setting aside the time for this next year. 10/10 experience (wear a long sleeve and pants and BRING BUG SPRAY!!!). read more

This was a cool Halloween haunted attraction around the Inland Empire. It might've been a bit too early in October because it wasn't very busy yet. The website said it opens at 6:15, but when we arrived, it was practically empty and the opening ceremony didn't start until 7. It was still somewhat bright outside at that time, so we waited until dark to go through the attractions. Too bad the website doesn't provide much information.. if we knew, we would've come later. They don't sell alcohol in there too. The cast and zombies definitely stayed in character, but they were just wandering around since it was too early. We paid for parking in advance, but no one even checked, and the guy in front didn't know about it- which made it feel unorganized and untrained. There were supposed to be four attractions, but the hayride was closed. Considering they only have a few weeks in October to really perfect everything, I was surprised by how many hiccups there still were. The two main attractions were Fight and Flight: FIGHT: We were given pistols, shotguns, or rifle gel blasters. I paid extra for the rifle upgrade, but they didn't even check. It was dark and definitely fun, though I heard a few people's guns in the group were jammed and couldn't shoot. FLIGHT: We wore flag belts and had to find our way out of a zombie-filled maze. The goal was to avoid getting your flags stolen, but some zombies, especially one of the females, were intense and aggressive! they cornered me just for my flag and I think I even got a bruise from them. She wouldn't let me run away after I dodged her once from getting my flag. I'm already competitive during flag football but dangg this zombie wanted to tackle me. After running in circles for a while to find the exit, we had to call "mercy" because it got a bit frustrating. There were 1-2 zombies who were nice and tried to subtly point to where I'm supposed to go, while staying in character. They probably saw me 10 times circling the whole maze. Apparently they switched the exit after we were close to exiting near it... The third attraction was Troop 13 Trail where we walked through a trail. I say skip this if you're short on time because it was dark, dangerous, and not much to it. Saw various groups prior got lost and also started limping. It's a dark trail and not suitable for people with mobility difficulties. They need more warnings! Overall, it has a lot of potential. I had a lot of fun shooting and running away from zombies and it's something new I haven't done before, the cast is dedicated, but there's definitely room for improvement in organization, communication, and execution. read more

There were a lot of fun aspects to this event, however, I wasn't expecting the level of being touched that I was. I was not expecting a worker to shock me with a cattle prod. I wasn't expecting a worker to spit whatever it was in her mouth on to my shoulder after I told her not to (bodily fluids bruh), and I wasn't expecting the workers to be carrying around REAL weapons. One guy came up behind me and rested what turned out to be real, long, rusty, serrated blades on my shoulder and when I realized what they were told him to not touch me with them. So he kept doing it anyway until I told him to knock it off. Granted, it IS my fault for not reading the entire waiver and missing that the safe word was 'mercy'.. but I figured there was a line of professionalism that was universal. So all-in-all I had a good time with my friends. The maze with the air soft was pretty cool and so was the getting chased in the woods. Oh yeah, the worker for one of the mazes split up our group and told us to just deal with it even though we spent a lot of money to BE A GROUP. Anyway, it was the staff. Some of the staff working that night are what kind of tanked the experience. read more

If you're looking for something that goes way beyond your average haunted house, this Zombie Tag and Paintball Haunt is a must-try! Fog, lights, and creepy sound effects set the perfect tone. The staff was super friendly, organized, and totally in character. Once inside, the action kicked off immediately. Running through dark corridors and open fields while dodging "infected" zombies was absolutely thrilling. The paintball guns were easy to use, powerful enough to feel real, but still completely safe. The zombies were insanely convincing, they move fast and really commit to the role. You'll definitely get an adrenaline rush trying to keep your team alive! I loved how well-planned everything was, solid safety briefings, great pacing, and enough variety that you never got bored. It's part haunted maze, part live-action game, part survival movie come to life. Perfect for friends, couples, or anyone who loves Halloween with a mix of heart-pounding fun and humor. read more

What a kick ass immersion haunt experience. If you've done the knotts scary farm style mazes this is nothing like that. It is way more intense. Its not just jump scares. Its running for your life to evade (in flight)and even shoot (fight) zombies. If you like a way different experience than usual haunts this is well worth the price of admission. read more

We were this close to giving Nightmare Rising a one-star review because of the total chaos just getting inside -- but once we finally made it in... it completely redeemed itself. This place was insanely good! It was the kids' first real haunted house experience, and they faced it head-on -- no "no-scare" necklaces, no backing down (ages 8,10,11). If you're hunting for heart-pounding thrills this spooky season, I highly recommend this place. It's the only place where you actually get to shoot zombies in the head -- and trust me, it's every bit as epic as it sounds. ‍ Between the never-ending haunted maze that messes with your sense of direction, and the live woods walk where Chainsaw Man bursts out of nowhere, the scares just keep coming. Sure, there's a faint whiff of "farm life" in the air -- yes, a little cow-dung chic -- but once you're in the thick of it, you won't even care. This place is wild, raw, and totally worth the drive into the middle of nowhere. read more

Sadly, this was an incredibly disappointing haunt. They did not have enough people working there to make it truly scary and Highway Z, one of the main attractions was not functioning. Additionally, the other 3 attractions were lackluster at best due to a lack of organization and a lack of workers. Also, they advertised vendors, carnival games, and food, all of that was almost non existent. There was one food stand that made basic items like hot dogs and burgers and that was it. There were structures that looked like they were meant for selling merch and having games, but they were empty. This place was a ghost town, not in a good way. There was very little to do and what there was to do was lackluster. We saw the same 3 zombies work the main entrance way and on Troop 13 we literally saw 1 zombie the entire time. It was far from spooky. The flight attraction was the best experience, because it seemed to be best organized with the most amount of workers. Conversely, fight was incredibly boring with hardly any zombies and it ended in about 5 minutes. Unfortunately, I paid for the gel blaster add on and that game was the absolute worst. There was no organization and no way to put people in teams. They gave us the gel blaster rifles and told us to run around and shoot each other with no goal or purpose. I felt like I was playing a game an elementary aged kid set up. Overall, this place seemed to have so much potential, but it was a rip off. I wish I could get my money back, especially since I was FALSELY ADERVITISED to. Go to haunts that are more organized like 17th door or one that has a good reputation like the one in Thousand Oaks or Hollywood. read more

This place is good- IF you never went previously. If you've gone before, you'll be ok skipping this year. I went last year and it had a lot more of the Halloween spirit. I'm not sure what happened this year, but it really felt like they didn't care enough, or put enough effort. $25 for parking, paid "upgrades" for everything, $18 for a burger, all these things really made it feel like they were just trying to nickel and dime you. In the zombie shooting experience, the owner even made a comment about us not upgrading our guns. Last year they had more Halloween decorations, more scare actors walking around, they had haunted houses and a hayride, and it was really fantastic. I was so excited to bring my friends this year but I couldn't help but think "what happened to this place?" It's mid October and the place was basically empty. Overall, we still had fun with the few attractions they had, so you should still go if you've never been! The zombie flag experience is super interactive, fun and genuinely a challenge. Can't say I'll return in the future sadly unless they go back to how it was, but I do think the entry cost IS worth the attractions they have. read more

This was just okay. For the pricing, I probably wouldn't do this again next year, or ever. It sucks because it's so close to where I live in Corona, and I think it's really cool that Corona has something like this for Halloween, but I left feeling so underwhelmed. Like someone had mentioned previously, if it were $20 for entry, and free parking, or $5 parking, I wouldn't be as underwhelmed as I would be. This event was very disappointing, especially for a Saturday night. For one, it's far too overpriced for what it is. When my partner and I discovered this online, we read there were carnival games, food, merch, and 5 attractions. In actuality, there were only 4 attractions (3 included with standard ticket), one food vendor and one drink vendor (though you could also get drinks at the food vendor too). I just found myself wanting more. I kept wondering, "where is everything?" No games, the "haunt store" was unattended, the hayride was inexplicably down, and we saw the same 3 or 4 scare actors in the main area all night. There was no toilet paper in the portable toilets, no water in the accompanying sinks to wash your hands with, and you have to go through security every time you exit the venue to use them. Terribly annoying. A map at the entrance would be useful or some sort of proper signage or even just an information booth. We had to wait in the admission line again just to ask about Highway Z (the aforementioned closed hayride). I think the attractions have potential, they just need tweaking. Mainly, MORE actors. Troop 13 had one scarer, but was otherwise just a dark walk in a woodsy sort of area. "Flight" was not my personal favorite, but the squeaky toy upgrade was not worth it and "Fight" was shorter than expected with, again, too few actors. At this stage, this is just a money grab, with the allure of upgrades designed to nickel and dime you. Even the fortune tellers' prices weren't standardized as my partner and I were told 2 different prices by the same person! If this event were $20 per person with free or even $5 parking, I wouldn't be that bothered about it, but at this rate, you may as well save up for another event as there are so many more in SoCal. Lastly, I would like to say that the staff was helpful and all of the actors were well in character and professional (lol). I just think management could do right by them by investing more effort into this event and their attractions. read more

I went with a group of friends with various thrill tolerance from scaredy cats to thrill seekers, and we all had a great time. The attractions are very immersive, and lots of interactions with the actors. There's 5 attractions to do, but the hayride was closed at the time :( Each of the maze is a decent length, so you have plenty to do and immerse yourself into. There's a food stand inside as well for snacks. As someone who doesn't like thrill, I had a lot more fun than I expected. The staff was really nice, and the actors really get into it making the experience fun. I made new friends with new friends with a zombie and scary masked lady :') read more

I took my family and friends here last year and it was way better. They had the zombie mazes, a hayride and 2 haunted houses. This year they only have the zombie mazes. The shooting and flag maze are fun but their troop maze only had a handful of actors and no one to direct you in the outdoor maze. The hayride was closed and no haunted mazes. We were quite disappointed this year. I think it's a great haunt if you live close, but this year I think it's over priced. $150 for a family bundle of 4 and $15 for parking for 2 mazes seems high. read more
