We haven't done many escape rooms out this way, and decided to come try a room at Over The Moon Escape Rooms. They are conveniently located only a few minutes off the 91 freeway in Corona. Their space is in the rear of an office complex. You can park close to the entrance if you enter on the east side and drive around to the back. You can also park on the west side of the complex, proceed through the walkway, and turn left. The two gals in our group of four are fans of Phantom of the Opera, so we decided to do that room. We were greeted immediately and put our personal belongings in the lockers they have available. After watching the standard escape room disclaimers and an introduction to the Phantom of the Opera room, we were led into the room. The décor is great and pays strong homage to the movie. The room is lit on the darker side, however there are many candles around that you can pick up and carry around to help illuminate things. The room is mostly linear with a variety of locks, mechanical puzzles, and a few unique puzzles. The first room is on the smaller side and they subsequently get smaller. I would definitely recommend no more than four people for this one. We only needed one hint and escaped with about ten minutes left. One woman initially greeted us and got us started, and apparently another one ended up being our game master. I didn't catch their names but they were both enthusiastic and very friendly. We posed for a picture in the room afterwards, and the pictures were emailed to us a few hours later. Their rooms are priced very attractively at only $42 per person for two people, and the price drops to $35 per person for three or more people. Happened to find this place through Yelp (I didn't know Corona had an escape room) and I'm not disappointed. I took my nieces 7 & 10 to do the wonderland room and they LOVED it. It was their 2nd time doing an escape room and they said they had so much more fun at this one. As soon as we walked out they asked me if we can book another one again. Each room is totally different, super fun, and honestly just really cool to look at--the attention to detail is amazing. We signed up for the Wonderland Escape Room and had a blast! It really was a team effort. We all saw and solved different puzzles. It was really cool to see my kids put their problem solving skills to work. And YES! We did escape. We had soo much fun that we immediately singed up to do The Hunt escape room. This was our first time experiencing an escape room. I was so hesitant at first however, once we arrived we were made to feel very comfortable. Lockers are provided for you to store your phones and any valuables as you aren't allowed to take pics during your experience. My grandson was so excited to do this-process was explained thoroughly and once we completed viewing the video we proceeded to our room. Room decor was amazing and the layouts and hints were great! This is our second adventure with Over the Moon Escapes, and a rare occasion for us because we usually don't play the same location or even the same business twice (so many to choose from in Southern California!), unless they are exceptional. And Over the Moon is exceptional! We were also looking for a room with an Easter or spring theme and were thrilled to find that The Hunt checked all our boxes. Patrick and Shane (again!) guided us through this fun romp which started with an original video that told us exactly what we needed to do. It does help if you absolutely love Beatrix Potter, but it's just as fun if you don't know the difference between her and the Cecily Mary Barker ... The room was lovely: just the right amount of cosy and whimsical, and transported us immediately to the world of Peter Rabbit, as outlined on their website. We had just enjoyed a short hike at Chino Hill's Telegraph Canyon Trail (didn't see any bunnies, sadly, but tons of yellow black mustard and purple fiddlenecks!) and a very full and satisfying lunch at Goodfellas, so our brains were rather more inclined towards a nice nap but our game hosts were terrific and pace us without pause to a successful bunny and eggs rescue at 53:12. We consider The Hunt to be a mid-tech room, which means it had a nice mix of traditional locks and computerized elements. There were no real red herrings, and everything worked. The only glitch, if we were picky, was that the drawers opened very quietly, so the guys had to let us know one opened when it did. It was a perfect room for two, especially if you like cute things and so appropriate for kids (especially if you have a sweet tooth) and family fun. Our favourite puzzles were the ones the showcased Beatrix Potter's books and bunnies, and vegetable planting. The sound effects were great, and the room, while a bit dim and erratically so, if you think about the story, makes absolute sense: Peter Rabbit was, after all, running away from Farmer McGregor into a rabbit hole and out of a rabbit hole, into a cabbage patch and out of a carrot plot! Over the Moon was much less crowded than our first time, because we played on Holy Saturday - it was fully booked for Easter Sunday, no surprise! - but it's one of those places where it makes no difference whether it's busy or not, because it's definitely on our return list for the level of satisfaction we left with. We received our photos later than we would have liked, but we looked very good in them, so it worked out. The takeaway prize for victory at the end was a nice touch - but, have to admit, we had to watch Junior Bake Off after, just for a pie fix! This review posted on Yelp and Google. read more

Absolutely one of my and my family's favorite places! We've done all the rooms except for Waterworks, including their new PINNOCHIO room. All are amazing and so much fun. The game masters are all amazing. Some rooms are a little harder, in terms of how you need to think to solve a puzzle but if my teenager can out smart the adults in how to solve the puzzles they must not be unsolvable! Loved the props & decorations. We did the Phantom of the Opera room. It was just my husband and I and we solved the puzzle with 30 seconds to spare! We got stuck once and the host provided a hints. Plus some extra semi-hints that pushed us along. Overall the puzzles were cohesive and followed the theme. Everything made sense and tied together. The props being worked into the puzzles were also unique and cool. For a lower budget escape room, it was fun and unique. We'll def go back to check out the other themes read more

We did the Wonderland escape room with 4 adults and two kids (6 year olds). It was a lot of fun! The worker (I think Jake) was super attentive to where we were in the room so when we asked for clues it was helpful. Also some parts of the room were hard to read in the dark but there was a tv screen that would show what we were trying to read so that was neat. There were a good variety of puzzles that went well with the theme, and it was good for kids and adults. read more

We did The Hunt. More extensive review details on Morty. While we did not complete the room, we really enjoyed the theming and the puzzles. We got very hung up going the wrong direction at the beginning, and really laughed at ourselves after we got back on track. The room is mostly mechanical locks, but there are a few tech elements - they threw us for a loop since we were so focused on the mechanical locks! Be aware that room is very dimly lit and has two especially small mechanical locks which can be a challenge to manipulate and to see. The numbers on those two locks are 1/8" or slightly smaller. read more
