From the outside you don't necessarily know what you are getting into. There are some creepy…read moredisplays and flame throwers over the entrance, but once you enter the atrium, it definitely has a creepy yet welcoming vibe. Once you enter the maze however the welcoming portion is gone, and you feel the tension of the experience you've just entered. The Zombie actors are super scary looking and do a good job of stalking the survival participants and making it feel like it is a real life survival scenario. While inside it does not feel like a typical haunted maze like you would find at most theme parks. You go in as a group of your own party not mixed with strangers which is cool. There are others in the maze often times while your group is in there but that adds to the fear factor as you see them screaming as they try to escape as well. (sometimes this leads a zombie right to you, and if they notice you they may direct their attention to you instead). Beware of where you came from and where you are going as you may run into zombie's who you escaped prior in the experience. Just because you passed a zombie earlier in your way through doesn't mean they aren't still hungry to take your lives This is a whole different experience as the actors are also tasked with taking your lives (3 flag football flags on a belt). So not only are they scary as they jump out from all over the place, but they are actually coming for you because you have something they need. With hidden extra lives and other goodies hidden throughout the maze this becomes a strategy game as much as a haunted maze. There is not one way to escape as there are multiple routes you can choose, some good, some lead you right back into the zombies you thought you were escaping. The total experience was heart pounding and exhilarating. Definitely a must try if you're into getting scared and want something different from the Scary Farm or Horror Nights type maze. Usually I just go through the same ol walkthroughs at other events but here I got to shoot paint balls, get chased around, play hide and seek, watch people get painted, play capture the flag and a whole lot more!!!! If I was tired and wanted to skip an activity that was no problem. There was a giant screen playing scary movies all night that I could enjoy! The monsters would actually talk to you and interact with you! It wasn't the same ol monster jumps out then goes back to their hiding place to jump out at the next passer by. We…read morehave been going to Coffin Creek since it first opened in 2007 when it was a single haunted shack with a pig squealer and a creepy ghost lady. In the early years Gary would be hanging out by the haunted trail and tell you the story of the 13 coffins. If you were real lucky he'd tell you about his dream of a haunted village. I'm so glad he got to fulfill those dreams. Many of the things that the reviewers are complaining about like raised prices and not utilizing the space of previous years were out of his control. The last time me and my husband spoke with Gary it was about 2022 and he was very disappointed that the state and local officiants were giving him a hard time with permits and permissions and that he had to raise prices to cover costs. Sugar was very valuable back then and Chinese servants worked at the Victorian mansion. Makes me appreciate how much technological advancement there has been to make the modern life more efficient and convenient.

FINALLY had the chance to visit the Jurupa Mountains Discover Center! I always see the iconic…read moremammoth statue passing by on the freeway and finally got to visit. His name is Eddy and he's a Columbian mammoth. Crazy cool that it's a life sized replica too. At the entrance, you pay for parking and it's $10. PRO-TIP: If you spend $40 at the gift shop, the $10 counts towards it and altogether it's actually only $30, which is great if you're buying a lot of goods there to support OR if you're a fossil and/or gem/mineral enthusiast since they have a LOT of that there, which is pretty neat. There's 2 places you can park. One near the garden nursery where you can purchase plants or near the main parking where the gift shop is. The Critter Corner is in the gift shop where you can see lots of herps and aquatic critters as well. The volunteers are super informative and can answer all your questions about the critters they have there. Love that they have name tags and info about where they're from and information about the species. Love the monkey skink, emerald tree skinks, Argentinian tegu, and of course, the beardies. Gift shop also has a great variety of affordable gifts ranging from toys, to small knick-knacks, decor, gem stones and minerals of all varieties and displays (loose, as earrings or necklaces, carved, etc.), locally sourced honey, actual fossils (there's a section where you're not allowed if you're under 16 without a parent or guardian), books, stickers, and much much more. While we were there, there was also a fun little S.T.E.A.M. corner where you can work on artwork you can take home or on some days I think there's science activities there too. The mural on the walls are also quite impressive too. Great for photos and a nice personal touch. I recommend getting the $1 grab bag! Kids love gacha/blind boxes nowadays and mine had 2 small fossils, a sticker, and 2 mineral stones. Pretty nice and super affordable. There's a trail that goes through a cactus garden with lots of dinosaur sculptures, done by the local boy scouts which is pretty neat. It's $9 if you would like to go rock collecting. You get to meet all the dinos during this expedition as well. It's 12 rocks, minerals, or fossils which isn't bad. They also have guided tours that start at the gift shop, but my boyfriend and I were just there to free roam, which can kill a couple hours too depending on how in depth you are in reading and looking at everything. They also have a separate Museum of Discovery with lots of fossil specimens and models ranging from dinosaurs, prehistoric creatures (aquatic, mammals, reptiles, etc.), indigenous/Native American artifacts and artwork (local artwork too), minerals and other geological structures. There's taxidermy on the wall too. Lots to look at. Will definitely come back in the future. Super affordable way to learn and spend some time.

The whole aesthetic here seems to be a combination of Japanese and Chinese horror which to me is super creepy... i mean, Ju-on (The Grudge)??? I went with a group of four but they only let two in at a time. There was no line which was strange being that it was Halloween night. The staff was really friendly and even asked if we wanted it less scary or really scary. I chose "less scary" because of the two girls with us that were afraid :P‍ That said it was still eerie and had a good amount of scares. The best part is (again) the style of costumes and viewpoint of horror, spirits and ghosts in Asia. I won't spoil the specific scares but there is one part in particular where I had an "oh hell nah!" moment 0_0 The maze seemed kind of short, maybe 7 minutes, but i wasn't counting. There weren't really any extravagant special effects which could be good or bad depending on the person. I feel a haunted house can be good without all of the over-production. That said, this does feel like a lower-budget haunted house, but at $15, I found it to be worth it and my group had fun too I hope this maze gets more business because it could be a little bigger and get more staff for scaring. It's such a refreshing take on haunted houses though and I want this place to be around for more Halloweens!

After walking through the front and you'll find various vendors selling hand crafted items like necklaces, clothes, hats, leather goods, chain mill, and everything your heart desires. You'll smell delicious foods...many people come for the Turkey Legs and Ale! I also have to give a shout out to Ye'Old 7-11! Best Renaissance convenient store around. Here you'll find dragon jerky, troll jerky, canned and bottled drinks, as well as welsh cakes! Now, let's talk about the incredible talent!! From jousting, sword fighting, stage shows and so much more. The people that work here are beyond talented and it's very inspiring. Lastly, everyone who shows up at the festival doesn't miss the memo and came up with some beautiful costumes! I absolutely love the creativity! I can't wait until the next one! Hazzah!

I discovered Rialto Community Players when one of my friends mentioned that they would be in a…read moreperformance of The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance from February 22 to March 8, 2020. The location is easy to find and they have plenty of parking in their private lot. I bought tickets online for my cousin and I for $18/general ticket and we were able to pick up our tickets at the box office on the day of the performance. All I had to do was present my drivers license and they were able to locate my tickets. Our seats were preassigned based on timing of when our tickets were purchase. The interior was quaint, but small theaters have the luxury of good visuals for all attendees. My cousin and I were in B9 and B10 which put us one row back from the absolute front. I enjoyed the distance to the stage but the set back was the chairs. The chairs in each row were connected. At first I thought the person behind me was constantly kicking my chair, but it turns out we would feel every movement from the people in our row. Every time they got up, sat down or shifted... and unfortunately the person on the other side of the empty seat next to me couldn't stop shifting around all night long. It was so annoying. I hope they upgrade these chairs as soon as they have the budget to do so. I completely enjoyed the actual production of The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance. It was divided into two parts with an intermission after the first half. During the 20 minute intermission, the audience got up to use the restroom and to visit the concession area. The concession snacks were served by a friendly group. All of the items were $2 each. It was easy and quick math to calculate your order. They served coffee, tea, root beer, lemonade, cookies, trail mix and cheesy popcorn. We bought a variety of items thinking we could enjoy it during the remainder of the show, but a voice announced over the speakers that eating and drinking is prohibited in the theater area, so we just finished our beverages and left our snacks unopen. After enjoying the remainder of the production, the entire cast met us our front and thanked us for attending opening night. 5 stars for the cast and their performance! I especially loved the strong female lead role. She was perfect!! If you are a fan of the theater, this is an inexpensive spot to indulge. They are currently selling their season tickets and the production we enjoyed is still performing on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays until March 8th. Just remember to manage your expectations with the venue when the tickets are so inexpensive.
