This Nike store is located next to Pioneer place in downtown area of Portland, the hometown of Nike. The store looks extravagant with lots of fancy interior arts, illustrations and shoe walls. There are apparel, shoes and some accessories sections. The fitting room area is also nice. As I explored the store, I saw a lot cool shoes, both for men and women. They were some of the newest model of sneakers. For apparels, they had the casual and workout gears. There was a small section for World Cup team merchandise. Prices of the items were Nike standard, on the higher end. The staff members at the store were friendly. Multiple of them interacted with us and also assisted with trying items in fitting room. We bought a Brazil Team's t-shirt. Checkout was quick and easy. As fancy as the store was, I found the variety of products less than most of the Nike stores I have been. read more

Over the past few years, I've visited Portland about four to five times and have consistently stayed in a hotel within a one-block radius of this Nike location. This location is incredibly convenient, with everything I need within walking distance. The prices are reasonable, and it's not as large as the Nike company store. One of the things I appreciate most about this store is that it carries some items that I can't find at other locations. Overall, I find it a decent place to shop for Nike gear. The store wasn't overwhelming due to the sheer volume of products, and the customer service was exceptional. The store wasn't overly crowded, which made it a pleasant shopping experience. In addition to Nike gear, the store also has a good selection of running shoes. However, I did notice that a lot of the shirts I purchased ran two times smaller than what I'm used to. For instance, I usually purchase a medium, but a medium felt like an extra large, so I would have to go with a small, and even that felt a little large. So, be mindful of that when visiting this location. I think this is a pretty good Nike location. I haven't had the opportunity to compare it with other Nike stores in Portland, other than Beaverton, but I was satisfied with my purchases and the overall experience at this store. read more

One of the coolest Nike "towns" we have visited although now they are just called Nike. Lol There was about a 15-20 min wait to get in the store. Once inside all the staff were very nice and helpful. The manager was very friendly. I loved the flooring made of wood basketball floors and the basketball feel to everything. Definitely glad we stopped by for a visit. read more

I feel its one of the bigger stores in Portland but still not very well stocked. I understand that inventory flows in based on demand but to be out of stock of some of the more popular pieces half of the time is just silly . They don't have a lot of staff to help so you would probably have to wander around till you either find what you are looking for or you wait till they are done helping others. it could sometimes mean waiting 10-15 minutes just to hear-we are out of stock for that . Location wise its pretty well situated and the premises itself is huge . Parking is hard especially on weekends but there are many paid parking lots within walking distance . read more

Drove from Seattle to Portland, came into the store and asked if my 8 year old son could use the bathroom. Employee working said no we don't have a bathroom. As I looked at him thinking he was being sarcastic I asked " you don't have a bathroom in this building that my 8 year old son can use? Where do you go?" He starred at me again and said no. Came in with the in law to gift him a pair of Nikes for Christmas. Was told right at the entrance that they price match online. After an hour of searching for his perfect sole, we ended up finding one on sale. Nike was promoting an additional 20% off their on-sale items, however they did not want to price match and called for a manager. After waiting nearly an hour for a floor manager, they proceeded to GRAB MY PHONE and look at the price to tell me that the sale was invalid and that there was "probably something in the terms and conditions". Standing there embarrassed in front of my in law, I just said "okay, I'll just by them online and pick them up at the store..." Their tune changed and they gave me my discount. Did they not want to make a sale? I feel offended, and do not understand why they made such a big fuss. I do like Nike as a brand but the store is very greedy and I suggest just buying items online and picking them up at the store. Do not waste your time with their customer service. read more

Really poor experience here. Walked in and the two security guards were messing around at the front by the doors. I was in there shopping for Christmas gifts for my 2 sisters and not one time was I asked if I needed help and the store was not busy on the main floor. When I went to check out, the person didn't ask how I was doing or say anything at all. He scanned my 2 items and asked me a question that I didn't hear. Then I had him repeat himself and he asked if I had the Nike App and that I needed to get it out. I said I didn't and looked confused and then he said, "Do you have an account with us?" And I said I did not know and just put my email in (he didn't even put it in for me) and then he didn't say a word after my account didn't pop up at all. He then put my items in the bag and that was it. I'm not on here to point out little things and complain, I was just very disappointed in the customer service I received. If I'm spending over $175 for 2 items here, I would think they would be a little nicer, especially from a store and brand like Nike. read more

Nice store but looks overstuffed, and a lot of employees just standing around talking, not helping customers. If I were the manager, I'd either train them differently or reduce the headcount per shift. Inside is clean, and mostly organized. My return took a few minutes because the person helping me: 1) wasn't an expert at the POS and needed to ask for help (which is okay since he might've been new), 2) as mentioned earlier, it took a few minutes before I was helped at the counter. Four employees stood talking, and only one was manning the front desk. Changing this customer service perception would add 1-1.5 stars to my review. Parking is also difficult downtown so I'd recommend going by foot if you're staying nearby. read more

I applaud Nike as a corporation for retaining their flagship location during this time in downtown Portland, as it is rough times... But this afternoon the retail savvy and personable nature of a gentleman really shined and made my shopping experience absolutely fulfilling. Allen provided an opportunity that I'll probably never forget, but happened to not take advantage of and will always appreciate. Aside from the large selection of shoes which include collectibles... and sportswear for both men and women, this place is a must-visit for sports fans because they have memorabilia on display. A lovely Nike flagship store in downtown Portland. Extremely well laid out. 3 floors of gear, kicks, and apparel. The staff were welcoming and friendly as all. Nike being HQ'd nearby did right with this store. Pulled out all the stops. Gorgeous design. Reclaimed bleachers for stairs. Beautiful displays and tons of retro Nike stuff. I'm a huge sneaker head and i thought the various zones of shoes and clothes were laid out well to represent both the activity based lines of merchandise and the Nike history. All the displays were cool. Rerelease of the Cortez, the cool new AF-1's, the Jordan's. And so on. I could seriously buy them all. Was a fun place to stop and shop on my stroll through DT Portland. And again, cannot say enough about the staff. Alexandra was training with Adam (i just called them Double-A). They were great. We talked sneakers. Forgot to pack hiking shoes for my recent trip to Portland, and that gave me the perfect excuse to visit Nike and invest in a new, sales tax free pair of shoes. I recently tried on a pair of the Nike Pegasus and really liked them but ended up getting a different running shoe. So when I realized I was hiking/running shoe-less I came into the Nike store with a shoe/goal in mind. The store is pretty big, and it was busy the morning I came in but I flagged down a sales associate asked him for the exact pair of shoes I wanted to try on. He was efficient, brought the pair within minutes and after I tried them on he even rung me out on his little handheld device so no need to wait in line! The entire trip would've taken about 15 minutes if his device wasn't malfunctioning but I think I was still out the door in about 20 minutes. Great experience! And I love my new shoes. read more

Haven't had this kind of customer service at an in store Nike before! SHOUT OUT TO TALL BEN at the downtown PDX Nike store!! We came by to check out some things while in PDX on a shopping trip. Picked up some clothes and a couple shoes. They had the Seattle Sonics colorway Air Jordan 1 in my size! Store was clean and organized. If we couldn't find something Tall Ben was quick and took initiative to tell us if it was available online or not and we didn't even ask him to. He also walked with us for most of the time helping us carry clothes we picked out to try on. We just came from Gucci and we joked with him about getting Gucci service at Nike LoL. I mean he just seemed so jolly to be helping us. Before Ben came up to us there were employees who offered to grab shoe sizes and to let them know if we needed help. Overall nice staff. I don't think Nike employees are on commission so Tall Ben def deserves a raise with the exemplary customer service he provided! If you get warm easily skip the jacket because the 3rd floor too hot. It's well worth the half hour you can spend checking out the Jordan collection, which any sneakerhead would love to have, and perusing the latest Nike collections. Obviously, if you're not into athletic clothes, sports or fashion this isn't your place but it serves its niche very well. I regularly hear that people are disappointed to visit this flagship location because they expect a much more exciting experience. Most flagship locations go all out on displaying their products and/or services. However, this Nike Portland location seems like it's just a regular location despite Nike originating from Oregon. In fact, the NikeTown on Salmon was a much cooler flagship store...it was unique. This location seems like Nike didn't care as much. There is a high chance that you won't find the Nike product that you're looking for because they don't carry that much product at this location. read more

The Nike store in downtown Portland looks great and all, but don't let them fool you. My second time going there and it was worst than the first time. Then about several employees on the floor, but not a single question was asked whether or not I needed help. I had to hunt some people down. Why are you scheduling this many people to work if they aren't even going to help out customers?! So I just left. Not worth it and definitely not worth the hype. Made several eye contacts with 3 employees and not a single word. You'd think after all the bad reviews this place change it up. But I second the comment below. I've had my eye on the FuelBand for some time now & not sure where else to go but this store. With a name like Nike, when I walk in the door I expect a sales person to be all over me. Instead I end up waiting at the counter feeling like some kind of idiot. If the sales person is helping someone ahead of me, making me wait until the other person is finished, then another salesperson should come over and start waiting on me. At the very least he should greet me and say, be with you shortly. That's the kind of thing good customer service is made of. To top all that off he then waited on the person who was actually after me & that's when I stormed out in a huff. Yes, I can do that. I have such little tolerance for crappy customer service. After I've had a chance to regroup I will go back and try again hoping that the experience will be different. I don't know. Maybe there's a snob factor in play here with a company who believes they are so great that customer service isn't important. If this is their flagship store then the mothership needs to get a grip on it and reel them in. How about a little customer service training? One more chance fellas. The place is more like an art museum than a mecca of consumerism. There is so much white space and sparse product on the shelves it's not really conducive to shopping. It's a boring experience, and not worth the visit. Outside of a Nike town Portland tee, you can just about get all the merchandise at your local Dick's or high end department store. read more
