The rink is humble but obviously the town where the nestle factory used to be remains a legend. The roller skating rink was built when everyone in Syracuse and Fulton were still supported by blue collar work .... And it was a glorious time. But now the Nestle factory isn't there .. but the people remain and so does Bilou. A lot of kids there but also adults ! The skate management does a great job in turning the lights on almost every other song and they play the songs the teens all want to hear .. turn the strobes on.. lights off :) bug right after they turn on the lights and play a song to maintain the calm and super fun atmosphere. And the snacks are only a buck ! The price is very doable .. especially for a town where the unemployment rate is high. If you come to Bilou and you aren't happy with their business just go ahead and let management know .: from what I can see (and I have no affiliation with the management or rink) they are really doing their best. That is a loss, but second star is removed because the manager who was in charge of admission was not very friendly and did not hand me change instead he put it on the table. Traditionally you hand the change to the person. I was a cashier at stores in past so I know what being friendly means. He has no smiles. What is worse was that he lost another star. This is why I have 2 out of 5 because of his attitude and because of safety. The fire exit doors has a wood stud blocking. That is better than chain locks. But also what is bad is the front door exit blocked with stuff of his. I was going to leave and I noticed all things are blocked so I had to exit at the entrance door. Because of this, that is dangerous. Now, the place itself has shown age. The insulation needs replacement since I see its torn on upper walls and ceiling. Needs repairs. the floor I counted 25 spots or so needs truly sanded and polished with new polyurethane coating on the floor to protect the floor. Of course it is Maple wood in fan pattern for the turns. What is worse is that I was videotaping myself and doing selfies for my website and the owner does not like me doing that but other people were filming the rink themselves with their children! It does not make any sense. This is why he lost this third star. I highly recommend you find another rink. Poor attitude and safety reasons are high on factor for my concerns for you, skaters.

It overlooks a large fenced in area that houses their horses. It is open to the public and not supervised so be sure to be responsible and clean up after yourself. Only downfall is no bathrooms.

There is a large pavilion with attached bathrooms and electricity, and there is another smaller pavilion there as well. There's also a nice trail around a cute pond and a steam that runs beyond it, and you are permitted to fish there. It's a great place to visit to ply and hang out, and is also able to be reserved for parties or events.

I love that's it's nestled in a neighborhood (how fun to live in one of the houses across the street and have a playground right across the street!) and we chatted with several people who come here regularly. Playground looked like it was newly built and had lots of fun sections to it with a "castle/dragon" theme. A few benches and picnic tables are available as well as a big basketball court. I did take one star off for no official bathroom-- there is a porta potty which will work in a pinch, but a playground can't be 5 stars without a real bathroom. Aside from that, everything here was great. Also has a cute little free library which my daughter was very happy to pick out a book for the trip home.

We had a bus trip to visit in the morning during the week so it was not that busy. This was my…read morefirst time here but I'd heard good things about it. We walked through the gift shop to board a little train ride. The train ride was kinda lame in that you just went in a circle around a pond and didn't see anything other than some llamas. We were then free to roam around the grounds. I especially liked feeding the giraffes the carrots! I felt like the bigger animals should have had bigger spaces to roam around (it seemed cramped and big cats were pacing back and forth in an agitated mood). The bear cubs were very playful and cute rolling around with each other. It was fun to experience this but I think the Syracuse zoo is better with more space for the animals and more variety.
