The staff at Issaquah Endodontics were so incredibly kind and welcoming that it really took some of the edge off for me. Dr. Gabel was outstanding. I had to have a root canal done so my nerves were both literally and figuratively wracked. Dr. Gabel said "the best root canal is one you don't feel" and he made absolutely sure I was in no pain at all. It takes a lot to make me calm in this types of situations ever since my previous bad dental experience but he was so cool, calm and collected - it was obvious I was in excellent care. The whole time I was thinking "man, this guy is a pro." He really is. I don't recommend needing a root canal but if you ever do, Dr. Gable is your guy.

(Not a procedure that anyone I know looks forward to) That being said, I will testify that Dr. Kenji Beppu has made these experiences as tolerable as possible. His skillset has provided me with exceptional pain relief, while performing with great bedside manner and explanatory dialogue during the treatment. His follow up protocol is unusual, as I've received wellness checks/calls from him on the evening of each of these visits. I went to see Dr. Brandal for a second opinion on getting a root canal. I saw three dentists and…read moreone endodontist before Dr. Brandal, and none of them could give me a definitive answer of what was going on with my tooth. Dr. Brandal was referred to me by one of the dentists (the one I trusted the most). She took an X-ray and examined my tooth and then took the time to really explain to me what she thought was going on. Apparently my tooth was in a bit of a "gray area" and wasn't responding consistently to the various tests, so she couldn't tell me with 100% certainty what the issue was, but she had a strong educated guess. I felt comfortable enough with her explanation that I proceeded with the root canal on the spot and indeed, the problem was exactly as she had said. The root canal itself was as painless as such a procedure can be. I felt really confident in Dr. Brandal's skills and experience, and she has a very calming and reassuring "chairside" manner. I also really liked her staff, especially Debbie the receptionist, who is really friendly and helpful and called me the next day to see how I was doing. Parking is easy (and validated!) and the office is conveniently located downtown next to Nordstrom. I would recommend Dr. Brandal to anyone needing an oral surgeon!

I went for second opinions from three other dentists, none of them said I should. And they are still perfectly fine after two years. The one time I went in for a teeth cleaning, the doctor kept talking until at a time he said there's no more time left today to clean the teeth and I needed to make another appointment. The next day I went in for a job unfinished, they told me I had to be charged a second copay of $70. When I argued that it wasn't even my fault that his speech went over time and caused me all the trouble to come back a second time, the doctor's wife ran out and pointed at the door asking me to leave. Go talk to your insurance! Not us! That's what she literally said. I couldn't believe a used-to-be smiling face could turn so ugly. Never going back. Update: While they claim they follow so-called their own standard procedure, I am surprised having seen, to the rudest extent, the way they talked to their patients. Dr. Han literally said he would not accept my Delta Dental Clean Plan in the future simply because he's never heard of this. My kids used to clean their teeth in this clinic, after we transferred out, during the first visit to another dentist's, we were astonished to be notified that our yearly paramount Xray benefit was already being taken/used by Pristine, but actually, they did not do it at all. This happened right under my eyes, and if we hadn't moved, we would never find out what they did behind our backs.

Dr. Seyda truly cares about her patients. She will take time to explain a procedure and it's pros and cons. She calls you back if you have questions. You can even call her cell phone if you have a pressing question. She is also very knowledgeable and highly expert in her field. I was very unhappy with my previous dentist. The doctors would leave, there was no continuity, they wanted payments way ahead of time, and gave us paperwork to sign to release any responsibility from them if they make a mistake.
