I didn't want to look overdone, but also not like there was nothing/plain like some Asian bridal looks I've seen from other Asian specialized makeup artists (catering more of the international Asian audience not CBC). My hair was put up in a bun so it can last longer and she even put in a donut so it appears fuller. She showed me some Asian bridal looks in our messages based on request. I wanted to make sure she worked with someone that looked like me before. While not as many Asian bridal looks compared to other specialized Asian bridal makeup artists, I felt comfortable booking her because of her adaptability with a broad audience and responsiveness. She was also referred to me by my photographer. I also like that she was conveniently from Downtown and willing to travel to any location, Downtown or even up in GTA. My venue was Downtown. Her price is reasonable, unlike one who more than double the price once I mention that I want to attach a veil to my hair. She even travelled to my venue downtown and provided a little makeup touch-up bag. I didn't use it much (because I got busy) plus my makeup and hair stayed throughout the night. I only touched up my lips and wiped a bit of smudge at the corners of my eyes towards the end of the night. We started at 9:30am, outdoors from 3pm; dinner was at 5:30 pm, and it was a hot day. I have more of a dry and normal skin type, so your mileage may vary, and the touch-up kit is handy. Consider GG to do your makeup for your milestone and relieve some of the stress of getting ready yourself. She's been such a pleasure to work with, and never once in the process, I felt less than like some of the makeup artists I've had initial messages with. I went to this salon after having brown virgin hair for almost 10 years, no colour, or highlights since I was blessed with shiny chocolate brown hair, but everything changed after I met Felor. I went for consultation a week before my appointment, showed Felor Davachi 10 pictures of what I wanted, which was a honey golden blonde balayage, something soft and classy which I believed would enhance my look and would be a great change after all these years. She told me that she is the ultimate blonde queen, and she will make my hair exactly like the pictures I have shown hair. Moreover, she said it would cost me 300-360$ range. The night before my appointment I sent her another 9 pictures of what I wanted, yet she did not reply. The next day I went in and she started saying oh your hair is oily, your hair is not clean, I have to wash it, which she only did so to waste time and charge more (150$ per hour), I mean everybody knows that you are not supposed to wash your hair before a bleach session, but again she had to rip me off somehow right? 45 means spent on washing and blow drying a hair that was only unwashed for 2 days, prior to a heavy bleach session. In addition, she called it balayage method, but I call it inhumane torture method, she used the worst "balayage" method, which was combing the hair backwards to waste more time and I can tell you she did this in the most painful way, while saying just take 2 Advils. Long story short, she did another painful combing session in the sink, and then I look into the mirror and I see WHITE hair, WHITE as icy blond, white as platinum blonde, white as 10000 times lighter than the honey golden blonde I wanted. Felor Davachi damaged my hair, made my hair platinum blonde which was absolutely unnecessary for achieving a honey golden blonde, and the experience doesn't end here, SHE CHARGED ME 750$ FOR A HAIR COLOUR THAT I DID NOT WANT, AND FOR A HAIR THAT WENT FROM SILKY SMOOTH SHINY BRWON TO SUPER DAMAGED ICEY BLONDE, not even close to what I wanted. She kept saying this is my fault, because I had told her to wash the toner 5 mins early. I had told her to wash the toner because she was so rough on my hair and I was in so much pain that i couldn't tolerate anymore. Equally important, she was just doing more damage to my hair, there was no way to take white hair to honey golden blond with just a toner, the hair was so white that no toner could have achieved that at that point. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS HAIR SALON, SPECIALLY IF YOU ARE YOUNG, BECAUSE ALL SHE KNOWS IS TO USE HARSH BLEACH AND TURN YOU INTO A GRADNMA, WHILE CHARGING YOU WAY MORE THAN SHE IS ENTITLED TO CHARGE. Charisse may will be refunding 75.00 via cheque to you and Avalon will refund the remaining 192.68. If you do not receive this refund within2-3 weeks please let me know. Please reply to all in this email with your mailing address to send payment and product. -it it now Mar 22nd. I have no refund, and continue to be ignored trying to ask where my refund is! I just want my money back for the services I will no longer get! To note: the artist has refunded me the trial amount. It is AVALON screwing me over.

Even with the most experienced lash extension artist volume sets take a minimum of 2 h to complete. The quality of the application is horrible. Inner eye lashes not filled at all, "fans" look like clutter of eyelashes glued together forming one thick unilash, placement of eyelashes is not uniform, lashes are not separated and unevenly placed significantly away from lash line. This improper application will damage my natural lashes. And the price?! $180 for volume set is charged by experienced lash artists who went through a professional training and are certified. And this is why I choose to try this studio, because with this price tag you expect to receive a quality service. Ladies, do yourself a favor and do not waste your money, time and health of your natural eye lashes! And I really hope that Taylor will stop butchering people's lashes and will go through professional training.

This is also not my first time getting eyelash extensions however this was my first time with Amy. My initial impression of Amy was that she was very nice and welcoming. She sat me down and showed me pictures of what I was to receive from the deal that I paid for. I am to receive 55 lashes per eye. She then showed me pictures of upgrades at a higher price but I decided to stick with the deal I had purchased. Amy then showed me the lashes and at different lengths. I decided to go with "11" because it looked natural but suggested I go longer "12/13" and I refused. She kept pressing on and I told her 11 is fine. Amy proceeded to apply the lashes and I felt an almost burning like feeling that was extremely irritating. She said it was normal and I tried to lay still but my eyes could not stop watering. In my past experience of getting extensions I have never felt this. I had to take a break after one eye and then went onto the next. Same situation happened on the second eye. The end result looked okay. It didn't look as full as I had hoped it would be. The first time I got them done (by a different lash company) the service was for 40 lashes per eye and it looked much more full and had more curl. It also didn't fall out as quickly Before I left I paid the tax of $7.15 which I think is standard for Groupon and I also tipped based on the actual service price. I found I tipped more than I should've given I had difficulty keeping my eyes from watering AND she still put the longer lashes on me when I asked her for the shorter ones. I tried to schedule a time for the refill but here is where it gets tricky and why I am disappointed. The refill only applies a week after applying the extensions and not allowed AFTER two weeks. Anything after that she gives you a $15 credit towards your next appointment. This is why it doesn't work, she is almost always fully booked making it almost impossible to set up a time that actually works for you. So you HAVE to go to the appointment you booked leaving you no room to reschedule if you have to. I am now left a $15 credit I won't use because well... the service was unsatisfactory. The day after the service the lashes were already falling flat. Three days after they were falling out pretty fast. It has been 2 weeks now and I have maybe 5-6 lashes on each eye left. Unfortunately I won't be using her services again. She was a very nice woman but unfortunately nice isn't enough to get the job done and in this case isn't worth the Groupon deal.
