It is well placed in a calmly serene & very clean grassy prairie type area. It is well kept and probably for good measure. It was the site of a rather grisly war between a mass of native indian resistance soldiers and the well armed servicemen of the US Army during the Yakima War. If you read the history of the war, it hardly seemed like a war at all as the natives were hardly a match for the army men with their newly developed firepower. They were above to keep the natives at bay from afar without hardly any hand to hand combat. There may not have been any hand to hand combat at all from the information I could fine. At the end of the day zero army men lost their lives. The natives.....weren't so lucky. The space works great for dance and art because all the tables and chairs move and they have large spaces that can accommodate more people. I always take my daughter to their play and…read morestory time and it is great. my daughter loves to go. the staff members are very good with the kids and really engage themselves when they read the stories with the kids. the library is relatively small but clean and organized. being new to the area, the staff really helped me out as to registering for the library, checking out books, and community information that I can take a look at outside in the library's lobby. Their story and play times here are Thursdays at 10:30am and have since added a Saturday time as well as a trial.

The Library is great for Whitworth's Campus. It is very centrally located on campus. It has many…read morecomputer labs and on those computer labs they have campus resources like Photoshop and other software which you don't have to pay extra for. There are plenty of study spots in the library and very helpful librarians who are willing to answer any of your questions that you have. They also are willing to help you get resources for a paper or a project. Also a great place to get things printed and you have a printing amount charged to your account. My only complaint is that it is not open longer. extended hour would be great for people who like to study late.

Pretty decent library, and one that typifies the turn libraries have taken in the past 10 years or…read moreso from simple, functional, massive collections of stuff (books, typically), to more inviting and multi-functional community spaces. Which is to say they don't have a huge selection of material. It's actually a little shocking how few shelves they have, and of these, maybe 70% is devoted to books and the rest is DVDs, CDs, games, Audio books and so forth. There is a massive open space devoted to children, with whimsical spaces for kids to hang out. Lots of comfortable seating for grown-ups as well, and it's functional and clean. Overall the design and aesthetic is top-notch. Beautiful, high ceilings with warm lighting. Floor to ceiling windows surround the majority of the building letting in lots of natural light. The location is a bit odd, and I'm guessing they figure the space will be filled in with more density 5-10 years down the road since right now the surrounding area is a bit under-developed. The park right outside makes the library a great 1-2 punch for an outing with kiddos. Bathrooms are clean. Lots of conference rooms for groups. Contracted security on-site every time I've been here, which is both good and bad depending on how you look at it.

I had just spent $500 on an alternator and was waiting to get some more money. I showed him my insurance for a different vehicle too. You have a month to get the new cards in and your car is covered. He said my license was suspended too. I don't know why it is. I was polite and he even wanted to get me for the seatbelt that I took off when he approached the car. I don't wanna be trapped when a person with a weapon is approaching my car. I'm a good citizen just having a hard time. Well he gave me a ticket for $1236 that I can't pay. I'm a disabled veteran on a limited income. I thought the police were here to protect and serve! He could have trusted me and gave me a warning but he was an inconsiderate jerk. Is name is Jacob Keith. Beware of this guy. He doesn't have the right mentality to be a good officer. These guys give the good cops a bad name.I hope Airway Heights has better officers out there protecting and serving. Not trying to destroy others live. I'm sure I won't be able to drive now since I can't afford $1236 and I won't be able to get the emissions fixed either. You're in a catch 22. They asked us what happened and talked to us in a calm manner and were not hostile or in our faces. The issue was resolved and we went about our business. No complaints.
