Honestly I would've given it 5 stars but the food took sooo long to come out. Service was great. She was very attentive and supportive but I was like why is this taking forever lol Overall it's an amazing restaurant! Very much a great place for date night or even celebrating someone's birthday which was the case for me. If you go get the steak roll. Sooooo good, steak, caviar, an lobster?!! I wish I ordered it again. Gyoza was aight, the drinks were super good. San Antonio doesn't have that many places that have lychee martinis but theirs were so refreshing and not super sweet. Perfect balance. I forgot to take a picture of my lychee martini , dam.

I don't end during the Culinaria's Restaurant Week to try their prefixed menu. I made reservations right when they opened so I was one of the first to be seated. All of the food came out very quickly and nearly all at once. A little overwhelmed and hard to pace. Everything was really good and unique in flavors. The interior design was beautifully done, plenty obscene options around the bar, sushi, bar, indoor and outdoor. I'd like to come back to try more items off their menu and take advantage of their great happy hour prices!

I walked in on a Sunday at 5:30pm. It was pretty dead. No one was at the hostess stand but was planning on checking out happy hour at the bar anyway. Bartender brought me a menu and I asked if they had any hamachi items. He recommended the lemon kani roll. I ordered it and it took 10 minutes before it came out. I wanted to try some other items so ordered edamame and spicy tuna hand roll off the happy hour menu. I also got a lychee martini. Everything was delicious. Looking forward to coming back and trying other things.

This is my second visit at this restaurant. First time was for a Mother's Day celebration which was really really good. This second time I am not sure how I feel about it. Most dishes felt that they are made quickly and missing the wow factor. The service was good and it is more of an upscale restaurant. They had couple of birthday and celebration parties going on. Everyone dressed nicely

I was delighted to eat here for the first time! I joined a big group and we were served a set menu, so I don't know all the exact names, but this was the best sushi I've ever had. I genuinely enjoyed everything that came out. I've never enjoyed raw seafood on sushi. I'm a basic shrimp or crab girl but somehow this place made me completely love every sushi dish they served. One roll in particular was wrapped in rice paper with a slice of lemon on top, and that was my favorite by far. They also served a variety of appetizers: pork skewers, fried rice, edamame, Brussels sprouts and those were phenomenal too. The service was great, super attentive, and the restaurant itself was cute with a simple, classy vibe. I will definitely be coming back!

Went on a Saturday night and made reservations. It was very crowded so I recommend reservations. We were seated on time and our server promptly greeted us and explained the menu and suggestions. The food was really slow to come out however it seemed to be made to order so I didn't mind. Our favorites were the chicken skewers and the hot honey roll. The restaurant has an elevated feel. Perfect for a date night. There's also a happy hour menu. They also validate parking for the nearby garage. I will be back

Elegant and Minimalist Sushi spot in San Antonio. Right behind the restaurant there is a parking garage, very convenient when you are in downtown. This review is going to be bitter-sweet, because I got horrible service at the bar but excellent service at the restaurant. The bar tender that helped us was very anal about certain things, never smiled and did not know how to speak to customers. But at the restaurant, the girls were amazing, they really make this place better. They are a little strict about the happy hour menu and where you can be seated. So if you are ordering from the Happy Hour Menu you cannot sit at the restaurant, you must to sit at the bar or by the sushi chef. Little weird rule. The food is outstanding and the cocktail excellently crafted. Perfect for a date, business dinner or a girl night out.

A unique and upscale date night like no other, highly recommend reserving a tuna cutting experience. We loved the courses, drinks and left feeling like we couldn't eat another bite of food.

Second time eating at this sushi restaurant and really enjoyed it! It was a Friday evening, around 7:30 PM so walked it and it was about a 20 minute wait for 3 people. Not too bad! Service is always great here. Hosts and servers are very welcoming and kind. Tried the lemon special roll, which was so so good and yummy! Pretty small restaurant space with a few tables outdoors, but it was way too hot to sit outside. The menu is pretty extensive, with so many different rolls to choose from. Edamame is excellent too. WOuld come back soon!!

Downtown residence for 15 years and in hospitality for over 30 years. The food was incredible and the service at a different level! Cin went to the website and saw a vegetarian option when we were driving to the restaurant. We put in our order with Kayla (if I was not retired, I would of STOLEN HER AWAY FROM NINETEEN!) WOW. When Cin placed her order, we could tell something was wrong, but ROCK STAR Kayla said she never heard of that on the menu, but she would check with the chef. She came back to tell us that dish had been discontinued a while back, but she would talk with the GM and chef for a resolution. She came back with the GM to tell us they would honor Cins request, as they had everything to make the dish. The ship sails as the captain sails it. The GM was very nice, we chatted about downtown living for 5 minutes. Common man, what!!!! Then to boot, the entire meal a 10. Just a tad noisy, but that's a building issue. Little hard to hear each other.

First time going here and once you go in it's very open and welcoming. Staff is super friendly and attentive. It is very clean and nice lighting. Seated pretty quickly and given water immediately. Waiter came within 5 minutes he did very well checking in us and recommending things in the menu. They will make common sushi rolls if you aren't able to find anything you like or prefer. I definitely would go here again but definitely in the pricey side but worth it!

This is a very cool restaurant. There is an upstairs that opens to the extremely high ceilings. The dining room downstairs is quite large with a variety of seating options (tables, booths). The bar on your right when you first enter is gorgeous and they make delicious cocktails. One star off for noise as the very high ceilings make for a loud atmosphere. The sushi, while delicious, is a little bit small portion wise for the price you are paying. Overall I would recommend this restaurant as a good sushi spot in town

Went here for a friend's birthday dinner & it was great! Atmosphere was lovely, very modern. They have a great bar with lots of seating. They also have seating along the Susie bar. The servers were pleasant & friendly. The drinks & food came out timely & everything was delicious. The shrimp were cooked perfectly & had great seasoning, a little spicy. The sushi was so fresh. Would recommend for a sushi spot!

Wanted to like this place, when we finally found it, was quaint and had a nice view of the water, tho the entire area needs updating. The boardwalk is not very smooth so be careful walking and not exactly handicap/wheel chair friendly. Order chicken teriyaki $19 dinner, no lunch menu on Sundays. Salad dressing was not ginger as expected, just watered down something, but the miso soup was probably the best of the entire meal. Chicken teriyaki had fresh veggies and white meat BUT if you expect sweetness in your teriyaki sauce, there is none here, it was a strange salty version, nothing like we've ever had. Even asked for more on the side in case it was just in the cooking. Hubby had the shrimp Yakisoba and was highly unhappy. It's the flavoring, it's weird. The noodles were super thin. Shrimp was ok. Service was ok. Not sure this would be worth returning to try their sushi, and do not get why Yelp gave it so many stars, but they wee older reviews I guess. Potential here for a romantic evening meal, however, not for us anytime soon.

But hey, this is what the birthday girl wanted, so this is what she got. We came here after a full day at Six Flags, starving, and hunger definitely made for the best sauce. One thing we have to say about Wild Goji that is A+++: they have Hitachino yuzu ON DRAFT!! Hitachino is one of our favorite breweries, and we had tried this version when we are in Japan, and could not believe our luck finding it here! It's worth the price of admission alone. As for the food, well, it is what it is. Honestly, it's not terrible, but you can tell you're not getting the creme de la creme (unsurprisingly). We mostly stuck to tuna and salmon, but we did appreciate their spicy garlic edamame (not spicy at all) and their spicy seaweed salad (slightly spicy). We ordered tempura that we had to send back because the sweet potato wasn't fully cooked. Some of the dishes on the conveyer belt definitely looked unappetizing (like the omelet roll) and since we were towards the middle-end of the restaurant, we had to wait a while for food to come our way. Service is minimal, but the atmosphere is boisterous because these kinds of places are fun. We were smart to make a quick reservation on our way from Six Flags because the place was slammed by the time that we left. Three stars, but it'll remain a fond memory celebrating our daughter's 9th birthday.

They're clearly going for a club-style omakase vibe with music, darker lighting, and a smoky atmosphere. It's cute that they tried to blend a nightlife feel with sushi. For me, it didn't quite land, but I can appreciate the attempt. Service was impeccable. The team was warm, attentive, and professional throughout the night. The food was decent for the price, but the flavor curation felt off. The soup tasted like bland water. The poke/nacho was okay but leaned too salty. The salad felt like a basic garden salad tossed in as an afterthought. The fish itself was fresh, which matters most for sushi. Where it struggled was in execution and timing. The nigiri was made all at once for the entire group instead of paced out. Sushi really should be eaten within a certain window, and by the time we got through everything the flavors started blending together. The seasoning also felt inconsistent. At one point the chef zested too much lime on several pieces which left a bitter note and pushed citrus onto dishes that didn't need it. It felt like the kitchen was vibing more with the music and DJ energy than carefully building flavor profiles. Overall, good fish and decent sushi, but the curation and taste balance are missing. The ambiance seems to be the main focus rather than the food itself. Still worth trying once. It's a fun concept and a good night out. I just don't think it's the place that will put San Antonio on the sushi map yet.
