We order door dash from this sushi seven and have really been enjoying it! We've been on the hunt for a new sushi place ever since our go to place let us down. We've been very impressed with both the quality and quantity here for the price. I've been loving the Salmon Don. We usually have to order sashimi and rice separately at other places as I hadn't found a place yet here with Don. And now we have! They are VERY generous with the amount of salmon especially in a dinner portion. My hubby loved the Tekka Don (the Tuna) and he also got the spicy tuna roll the second time we ordered. Wonderful proportion of tun to rice in the roll and generous sized roll. He really enjoyed this one. We will be returning customers! read more

Sushi Seven 7-1-24. / We popped in to try a new place and ate so glad we did. Not busy at this time (early afternoon) and friendly host to seat us and take our order. We ordered the Vegetable Rice and a Spicy Salmon Roll (no spice add avocado). Fresh and delicious! Only thing I'd change is the music choice. I got the rainbow roll! I liked the variety of this option with the avocado and the salmon and the tuna. I am not the biggest sushi expert, but I thought this was pretty good. Doug uses were OK. Well I hate to be the guy that doesn't give this place a 5 star rating, but seeing how Sushi is my absolute favorite food, I have a tendency to have strong opinions on this type of cuisine. I have been pretty excited to have a sushi place open that so close to the house, but after my first visit to this location I was not overly impressed. Let's start on the overall appearance of the place. It's minimal in decor which is fine, but the folding table with a table cloth over it for the cash register is not a good look in the overall appearance of inside. The menu is the same as their other location, which offers a ton of options which is a good thing for those that aren't just going for sushi. We started with their soft shell crab and spicy edamame. The edamame seemed like it was cooked a while back and was barely warm when we got it at the table. There is nothing like edamame that is steamed and brought to the table hot, but this was not the case here. Regarding the soft shell crab, it also seemed like it was cooked ahead of service and reheated, however this too was barely warm when we got it and a bit soggy. The rolls we ordered were ok, but honestly nothing to write home about. I ordered the snapper nigiri only to find the sushi rice was cold, not warm as it should be and the fish was cut thicker than it should have been for nigiri. The place was clean, and the service was good, but if you are looking for great inspired sushi that will leaving you wanting to come back for more, this isnt that place...at least for me. I'll give it a couple months to work out the kinks and try it again. I'm hoping my follow up review will raise it's star rating. read more

This was my first time here at Sushi Seven... I ordered the salmon sashimi cut thinly which was extremely fresh tasting. Many people would think the silvery bit on the salmon is not okay but it indicates getting the belly portion of the salmon which is extremely tasty. I then got a fried roll, this roll was not my favorite but still I think people who like Japanese mayonnaise would like it. My service was good and prompt my server Juan was informative and very friendly, I love being able to see the chef work. The ambience could be worked on though, it seemed very cold decor wise... I am willing to give better score later if the following items are addressed. It could be a 3 Star or 4 Star normally. Arriving at Sushi Seven was a little inconvenient when you come from UTSA Blvd. Visually there doesn't look like there is an entrance straight ahead, and instead I turned onto Vance Jackson . This causes you to have to do a U-turn by apartments which seems dangerous as people leaving the apartment will not be expecting you turning around. Issue 1 (minus 1 star), I looked online and saw they had Bento Boxes for lunch so I decided to bring a guest and try it out . They ended up not having that "yet" on their normal printed menu as told by the waitress. Seems they have been open for a while now so what is the deal?? Issue 2 (minus 1 star) there are NO PRICES on their printed menu nor are there any lunch specials after finding out they have no lunch Bento boxes. C'mon, just put the items on a plate I don't need a tray. Also we were recommended to look at our phones anyway, so there is a conflict if you aren't offering what is online!!!(see issue1) Issue 3(minus 1 star) although the waitress was VERY NICE , she was annoyingly at the table way too much, in a matter of minutes just passing by, almost after every bite. "We are good...everything tastes great" at least 3-4 times, then another for refills and another for if we would like to order more food, and another for ordering more food. (We did not want to order more) I'd recommend to relax, we can wave you down. It's not critical to interrupt that much. Highlights of the meal include the presentation of the food being top notch so kudos to the chef. Another highlight was the taste of the food. Both the Dragon roll and Rainbow roll were nice as well as the bowl of miso soup. It was around $50 for lunch (approx $40+$8 tip) so prepare your wallet. Definitely not a dine-in type of place for lunch if you expect specials or to keep it cheap. I did hear a lot of printed online orders going on so take that as a recommendation to order it and pickup to save on lunch time meals. I'd say this is more of a dinner type place but do take caution as there is very limited seating. It's small in there. read more

It was our first time trying Sushi Seven and it was so delicious! We live in the neighborhood and we've been waiting for this spot to open and we were not disappointed! The location is good because you don't have to fight traffic on De Zavala etc. The food was very good! I had smoked salmon nigiri and the spider roll. The nigiri had a very generous amount of salmon on it. The spider roll was great too! Also, I hate when you get good sushi but the wasabi doesn't have flavor or any kick. The wasabi here is very good! It's reasonably priced and great food for the money. read more

Food was just ok, not the best sushi I ever had or anything but the service was horrible. We were still eating but the waitress was already taking our plates. There were a Hispanic couple sitting right next to us with their plates empty as well, but she didn't take those from them. We are Asian and we had a small child with us, we forgot to ask for a drink for our child but waitress didn't even ask us. I don't think we would come back to this place because of this poor service, we felt discriminated. My husband was still nice enough to give them 20% tip, but we won't be coming back. read more

Good local sushi option. Sushi is good. We tried the Tempura Roll, the Salmon, Eel, and Escolar nigiri. All were good. The tempura roll was a little weak on flavor, but passable. Only real complaints are that they are pretty slow and that they apparently take the wasabi portions out of the server's pay. I have been there twice. Both times there were few to no dine in patrons. The vast majority of their lunch business is delivery. Both times it took quite a while to get food. Not unacceptably long, but long enough to keep me from being able to stop in for a quick lunch on a regular basis. read more

Why not just put the prices on the menu instead of having people scan a QR code Food was good but why automatically add 20% gratuity for just 6 people? Thats just a semi-large family size. I noticed the new location a couple of times when driving around the UTSA area so I actually stopped and asked for a menu. I was very excited to look through the menu with the anticipation of stopping in for lunch in the very near future. I was also very pleased to know that there was another sushi location in my zip code of 78249. My objective was to stop in and eat lunch but I wasn't able to so tonight I decided I would order and pick up for dinner. Ordering online was easy and the menu was clear with pictures and all info needed. So, off I went to pick up my order. I arrived and received my order quickly and headed back home. Upon arriving home I was SHOCKED to see the order when I removed it from the bag (see picture below). And the roll tasted liked it looked...BLAAAAA ! I was so disappointed!!! What happened to the presentation???I go to HEB and get sushi all the time and I am never disappointed. And of course any sushi restaurant I frequent never disappoints. The quality of the roll was not very good. I only ate a couple of pieces and discarded the remaining pieces. Something I never do! I hope this was a once in a lifetime experience albeit I don't plan on going back soon. Lesson Learned: Look at your order before you leave the restaurant if you are ordering online. The listening bar concept paired with their state-of-the-art custom sound system makes the atmosphere feel immersive from the second you walk in. The music, lighting, and outstanding service all work together perfectly when you're trying to unwind and decompress after a long week. The lychee martini was smooth, refreshing, and extremely lychee forward. I really enjoyed how they garnished the drink with two whole lychees. I was in heaven and I can honestly say this was one of my favorite cocktails I've had in the city (Thanks for the recommendation Annabelle). Food-wise, everything felt elevated and pieced together beautifully on each plate. The truffle creamy miso soup was warm & comforting with just the right amount of depth and the Asian pear cucumber salad was perfect to cleanse the palate after the soup. The Hawaiian ono was another standout that absolutely delivered. That cilantro oil and the yuzu dance together well with the soft & silky ono. I also really enjoyed the scallop crudo, it also has cilantro oil but this time with ponzu foam. This combination was so good that I absolutely had no shame sipping the married liquid components on the plate between each bite of scallop. Lastly, the wagyu mochi gnocchi is unreal--rich, melt in your mouth mochi gnocchi, savory shrimp and tender wagyu, and this velvety sauce that's semi addicting. This surf-and-turf style dish with seafood and wagyu is where Yozora really flexes; every bite felt balanced, indulgent, and beautifully plated. (This particular evening the sauce on the mochi gnocchi was a touch spicier for me than the first time I visited but I enjoyed every last bite nonetheless). I went a little ham and didn't have room for dessert this time unfortunately. Next time Huge shoutout to my server Annabelle, who made the entire night seamless. My water never even got close to empty, her recommendations were spot on, and she somehow balanced taking care of the bar while still making her tables feel attended to. The rest of the staff even tag teamed service throughout the dining room which I always enjoy seeing. It says a lot about how well the staff and overall concept works together there. Symphony for the soul. Thank you again Annabelle and team for making the whole evening easy to enjoy and adding so much to the experience. Yozora absolutely lives up to the hype. Add it to your list of spots to keep coming back for.

Even when I took the leftovers home, it was still fantastic. The steam facial I received provided much relief from my mountain cedar allergies. There will be a huge ramen-bowl shaped hole in my heart and San Antonio's heart once Noodle Tree closes. They have the best ramen in the city and ramen shops have some incredibly large shoes to fill. They also have free arcade games to play on for the kids and the kid in you. I truly recommend Noodle Tree and I will be back there in the near future.
