After relocating to Texas from California, we had been on the hunt for a sushi spot that could live up to what we were used to back home. It took some time, but we're so glad we found East Blue Sushi because it absolutely delivered. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was clean, welcoming, and well put together. The restaurant has a relaxed yet modern feel that makes it a great place for both casual dinners and special outings. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we felt taken care of without being overbearing. The sushi itself was the highlight. Every roll we tried tasted fresh, well balanced, and beautifully prepared. You can tell they use quality ingredients the fish was fresh, the rice was perfectly seasoned, and the presentation showed real attention to detail. After missing the sushi scene in California, this was exactly what we had been searching for. They also offer a wide variety of appetizers, which made it fun to explore beyond just rolls. The orange chicken was surprisingly good crispy, flavorful, and a great option if you want something different alongside sushi. The monkey brain was especially delicious and is definitely something we'd order again. Overall, East Blue Sushi exceeded our expectations with its fresh food, diverse menu, clean atmosphere, and outstanding service. We would absolutely come back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality sushi experience in the area.

Great food and service that evening. Place wasn't overwhelming crowded which is good.

We had passed by this place several times but hadn't stopped because we're not fans of buffets. We finally decided to give it a try and I'll tell you what, TRY IT!! It's not your typical buffet spread. The food comes out when you order it, it's fresh, it's hot, and it's DELICIOUS!! The place is beautifully decorated and their food presentation is on point. Our server Arianna was fabulous!!

Really great food and wide selection for AYCE sushi. They had a cheesy Kani tempura that was amazing! Service was great, and the food came out fast. We also loved how clean the place was!

So my friend brought me here this past weekend and I really had a great time. The inside is set up really nice and love the decore. The staff was all friendly and our waitress was very kind. She helped us understand the food and made great recommendations to us we really enjoyed. This is a buffet place so you can order as much as you like ($31.95 per person so gotta get your fill on food). We tried a good amount of food here and was not disappointed. We had the spicy tuna and salmon chips and they were so good. My favorite one though was the salmon chips so delicious! We tried many of the nigiri sushi and the smoked salmon was great. The tuna was also good and not bad on texture. We also did try the iruka salmon eggs and they are a bit salty but wasn't too bad either. We had a roll I believe called the flaming barbie which was great. It had spicy crab with salmon, cream cheese, avocado and good sauce definitely recommend. The miso soup was also refreshing after eating so much. Overall the experience here was great and definitely recommend anyone to try. Definitely get your fill on the sushi!

I like it where you can only order so much sushi at a time. It helps cut down on waste. The sashimi is nicely cut, not too thick nor too thin. For those who do not like sushi or sashimi, they also have cooked food. I'm surprised that they have affogato! Service was good.

New AYCE spot next to Rolling Oaks Mall. Nice decor and super clean. Love their lighting and the music is awesome! Nice selection of drinks and alcohol. I love that they have a different selection than Umiya which I go to quite a bit. My favorites so far are the spicy tuna chips, rice crispy, yellowtail jalapeño, quail egg shooter, steak teriyaki (thick cuts), yuzu yellowtail and the chicken karaage. Please know the portions are huge compared to other AYCE places. The sashimi cuts are huge; two bite pieces. The Mongolian beef, karaage, and the poke salad were huge portions. The service is wonderful, our drinks stayed full, they gave us plenty of napkins, and kept our table clean. We will be back and we ate fans! *Don't pay attention to the directions on Google or Waze as they aren't correct, just enter rolling oaks mall into your gps and look for it out front.

This place is for the extreme sushi lovers and big eaters, it caters to both well. The portion sizes are impressive for an all you can eat, me and my husband both had to roll out the door due to eyes being bigger than our stomachs lol. I got the sweet dreams roll, and the mahalo roll, cucumber salad, and edamame. My husband got the phoenix roll and spider rolls, along with chicken teriyaki, shrimp fried rice, and a scoop of ice cream for dessert. The portion sizes are huge so definitely only order as you eat so you don't end up like us. Service was quick but it's a Wednesday afternoon so we have an advantage there, our waitress was nice. Food presentation was on point, and the music was really pleasant to us since they played mid 2010s hits. The decor was also really nice. Over all we had a great time but will be skipping dinner for sure and taking a nap.

I enjoyed sushi here! One of the few places I've seen that offers all you can eat that is mainly just a sushi restaurant. Currently doing a soft opening, but the menu so far has a great list! My server was brand new, but she did an amazing job to explain the menu and rules to me. The rolls that I got were extremely delicious! I would recommend the Hokkaido Pearl Roll! Only thing I did not like is that they limit you to 2 rolls per order per person. When I went, the place wasn't extremely busy, but if it was busy, I'm wondering how long it would take just for me to keep ordering 2 rolls. The restaurant itself was really pretty, and very casual to sit at! I got the Pikachu drink which was really good!

If you want some good sushi this is the place! They have an AYCU lunch for $21 and it really is AYCU. I ordered quite a few in the pictures! They were all good sushi's. I ordered the pikachu and it was delicious. Our waitress gave fantastic service and she even gave mini cheesecake bites for my birthday! This place is good for casual dates and the ambiance is there. I'm a little disappointed that they did not have the all-blue menu. Clearly this is a one-piece reference restaurant and Sanji would give it 4 stars for it missing the all blue fish!

The atmosphere was relaxing and very clean. We were greeted as soon as we entered and were seated quickly. The waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Overall, we had a great experience. We tried the following - Salmon chips, tuna chips - both were very good but I think the salmon was the best one. Steak Tataki- This was delicious and had a light citrus flavor to it . It looks raw but tasted cooked through. Loved it. Crab Rangoon's- these were yummy and comes with a red dipping sauce. Very creamy and crunchy. Fried vegetable rice- Flaming barbie roll- this was a 8 piece sushi roll. Sooo good! It was very creamy with a kick of spice. I deff recommend trying this one. It didn't need any extra sauce. Cajun Albacore - this was surprisingly good. It tasted similar to a black peppered turkey. Pork belly - these were good. I wish they were crispy but worth trying. Nigiri - we tried smoke salmon, Blackened tuna, and ikura salmon eggs. I wasn't a fan of the eggs due to the texture and how salty they were but the salmon and the tuna were really good. They tasted really fresh. I have no complaints. Miso soup- I had the miso soup last. It had a very earthy and soothing with a great amount of green onions .

Excellent all around!! Hands down best sushi in SA and I've lived in Japan. The salmon sashimi was smooth like butter! Our entire family was fully satisfied with the entire experience from start to finish!! Darrin was our server and he was professional, kind, and checked in on us frequently! Highly recommend and we'll be returning soon!!

We didn't realize this place was a cousin of Shiro and owned by the same guy until we saw some similarities in their style, layout and menu but nevertheless, the food was still absolutely amazing. Even though the ambiance had some similarities, I'm glad their food options were distinguished because otherwise could have just gone downtown. You cannot go wrong with any of their food options. Highly recommend doing family style so you can get a taste of everything and all the different flavors. We started with the gyoza and calamari which were to die for and were not greasy at all. Pork ssam, wagyu, miso pasta and octopus all brought a little bit of their own element and flare to your palate that it's hard to describe unless you try it. Wagyu was just melt in your mouth delicious. Pork ssam and octopus had their crunchy texture and umami flavors. The miso pasta added a light refreshing touch to balance everything out but don't let it fool ya, the noodles will expand in your stomach. We topped it off with their yuzu cake. Our only disappointment was they were out of their other desserts but nevertheless everyone of us left full and happy. Would come here again.

When I first read about Yozora, I honestly thought it sounded a bit pretentious. Fascinating, but…read morepretentious. Because the idea of music being an actual integral part of the dining experience--not just some kind of background noise--felt a little precious for my taste. I'm glad to admit I was wrong. So let's start with the ambiance and the vibe of Yozora. It's in a fairly non-descript kind of center; not bad but not specially memorable. But the space itself is open and has an air of restrained sophistication. And then there's that hi-fi set up. The music at Yozora really is part of the experience, but it's not intrusive in the way that you'd think. Most of what my dining companion and I heard was 50s and 60s jazz, and it was perfect for the occasion. Sushi and Coltrane are a great mix, and even though we were not far from the hi-fi system, I could hear every word of our conversation, without the need for either of us to raise a voice. Somehow, it's like the music operates on a different frequency from regular table chatter. Suffice to say, the music enhanced the mood and really set a scene for Yozora's chefs to tell some stories. And that, they do really well. We started out with seasonal tempura and miso masu ceviche--ocean trout marinated in miso, soy, and lime juice--that was sublime. But funnily enough, the real star small plate was a truffle creamy miso soup that was earthy and slightly sweet at the same time and was silky in texture. From there, we ordered a series of crudo and battera, each unique in its own way. It was wonderful stuff, accompanied by a rice lager. The kitchen at Yozora is not shy about experimenting with non-traditional flavors and ingredients. Sometimes it works really well; sometimes, not as well, but it's never bad, and the servers actually ask for feedback for the kitchen, which is something I rarely see. Yozora honestly seems to be most concerned with creating a great dining experience, and it does that, from the chefs to the line cooks to the servers (who are helpful and attentive without hovering). The music, the mood, and the menu add up to a memorable experience.

I was immediately annoyed because the music was very loud to me. That could have been due to the empty restaurant, the actual volume or my perception of the volume lol. I was really hoping for a more intimate vibe for conversation. The speakeasy lounge actually looked more like the vibe that I desired but I settled in and placed my order. I wanted some of the showier selections seen on IG, so I ordered the tuna tower and flaming Romeo & Juliet roll and a cute (albeit sweet) cocktail that came in a goldfish shaped glass. When the tuna tower arrived the young server asked me something several times which I couldn't hear over the music, so I just nodded. After she smashed the tuna tower, I figured out she was asking if I wanted it mixed. Lol my bad! I actually did not want it mixed but it was delicious anyway. The Romeo and Juliet roll took forever to stop flaming but once it died down, it was absolutely delicious. My partner enjoyed his roll as well and they gave him a complimentary birthday desert with sparklers. Overall I give service a 3. I would have liked a more professional presentation of the menu, hyping it up a bit. And a less soft spoken server. The food was a solid 5, everything was fresh and scrumptious. Overall I give Uni'ko 4 stars and I look forward to returning. I thought it was a good value given the extra razzle dazzle and food quality.

Could be a nice, intimate place for dinner though we were seated next to a pretty loud group. Service was fast and friendly, which was appreciated. The meal itself was decent, not great. Tried the masago and snow crab off the sushi menu; the former was good, but the latter strangely dry, as if it had sat out a little too long. An appetizer portion of the shrimp and vegetable tempura was very good. Particularly puzzling was the unagi roll. Not only did each piece of the roll fall apart, it was doused with so much eel sauce that it was hard to taste anything else. Looking back on it, I should have sent it back to the kitchen. Of note was the tempura banana dessert, which was a sort of Japanese take on a sundae! Putting crisp, hot chunks of fruit up against sweet vanilla ice cream, sprinkles, and chocolate syrup (not berries as the menu claimed) was...well, interesting. I probably wouldn't order it again, but it is novel. Average it out and it's a decent place, though I would only come again if I was in the area for something else to begin with.
