Quite surprised Fort Dodge has a sushi/hibachi restaurant. I am not from this area, though frequent often, but was still a bit skeptical due to Dodge being Dodge. The restaurant is an old Long Johns Silvers, so the inside is quite small and can't seat a lot of people. We had no wait on a Saturday around 11:30am. It was past noon by the time we left and was filling up fast. I had the Garden Roll and the Spider Roll and both were delicious. I didn't expect them to be as good as they were. The plate they were served on had a cute design on it made from some different sauces. The girlfriend started with a house salad and the ginger sauce on top I thought was sweeter than what I have usually had, though still really good. Her main entree was the shrimp combo with fried rice instead of steamed. The flavor was okay, have had wayy better hibachi and she agreed. All and all, I think it was good. I have gone here more times then I can remember. My favourite to get from them is the Yaki Udon noodles however their sushi is quite delicious as well. Very good sushi! The salmon cut was a nice size. The reason for 4 stars vs 5 is the strict rule on kids menu and they ran out of small sauce bowl to my wasabi and soy sauce in for my sushi. I took my father and step mom for there first Japanese experience. My father is 90 and doesn't eat a lot so we also get a kids meal everywhere we go. We were told no exception to the rule. So my father and step mom had a chicken tempura bento box. Everything was delish! read more

Ninja Steak house meets the standard for a quality dining experience in Fort Dodge. I can happily say that the sushi is truly good here. And yes, there is such a thing as "bad sushi"- but I am thankful that it has never been served to me here. The staff is extremely attentive, courteous and efficient. Their respectful service makes the experience even more pleasant. Beautiful fish in the fish tank, lovely dolls and cool pictures on the wall enhance the atmosphere so it is not so sparse. My husband who is not a sushi fan has even found dishes on the menu that he likes. I have yet to try the steak here, so I can't really comment, but the appetizers and sushi rolls are definitely up to par! read more

Absolutely a winner for sushi around here! I was skeptical when I first heard about Ninja, but I'm so glad we gave it a shot! I've had sushi at higher end places and I still love Ninja Sushi Steak House and would say it's just as good as places in larger cities.

I wanted so badly to like this place and saw all the other positive reviews but it was awful, barely passes for food. I ordered the shrimp tempura bento box and my husband ordered just the shrimp tempura appetizer. The shrimp tasted very old and mushy like it had been frozen for decades, same with the egg roll. The California roll was more tolerable but warm. The appetizer (unlike the photo on the menu which showed fried veggies) was just three little pieces of fried shrimp. We had to toss the meal after a few bites and drove across the street to McDonald's. I know restaurants are suffering still with low staff and due to COVID but that's no excuse for the product they are serving. I'll stick to fast food next time we drive through Fort Dodge. read more

Who knew Fort Dodge would have a sushi/hibachi spot?! They have a variety of sushi rolls, soba noodles, and more. Food was good and the price is typical average for rolls like any other and the waiter/waitress were friendly and quick on their feet to get you a table and fill your water. Great service! read more
