Overall a good experience. My wife and I recently visited restaurant on a Wednesday evening. We live only a couple miles away. This restaurant recently changed location a few miles from where it had been for several years. New location is much nicer. Good atmosphere. Service was a bit slow but not bad and people were courteous. Food (pork chop dinner and hamburger) was good and seemed to be good quality. Price was $40 with tip. So it was reasonably priced. Only 1 recommendation I would share for the restaurant's benefit is our food was lukewarm. I suggest they start heating plates to prevent food from getting lukewarm or cold so quickly. read more

We really liked it! We ate here a year ago when we were in Fort Dodge and we're back in town for a visit and decided to go back to Casablanca Steakhouse. It was a Tuesday night about 6 pm when the 4 of us arrived. A few tables had been seated and then the place nearly filled up while we were there. Our server was Chelsea and she was super attentive and helpful. We ordered appetizers to start: - Breaded Cauliflower (really good) - Breaded Mushrooms (also really good) We ordered the following for dinner: - 7 oz Pork Chop with side salad and baked potato - Chargrilled Shrimp with deviled eggs and baked potato - Ribeye Steak with side salad and baked potato - Steak Burger with Bacon and Fries Honestly, the food was really good, as was the service. I was pleasantly surprised with this dining experience. Fort Dodge isn't exactly known for its culinary offerings but this is a great spot! I was out celebrating with friends that we had all passed ou annual military pt tests so we went wild. For appetizers, our table had jalapeno poppers, cheese balls and onion rings. They were all terrific! I had the grilled porkchop with excellent hashbrowns and a baked potato for extra starch haha. My porkchop was perfectly cooked and so delicious I was sad when it was gone! I tried my friend's filet mignon and it was a perfect medium rare. I also tried another friend's prime rib, which was also delicious. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgable of the menu on top of knowing exactly who ordered what in our party of 6. She never missed a beat, had a great attitude and was witty to boot. I just had a wonderful birthday meal with my wife. The atmosphere was outstanding, not pretentious, cozy and not over powering. The food presentation was extremely enjoyable and the taste of the appetizers, the salads and our main course was fantastic. The nice hostess and server took great care of us.. After serving a steak rare after ordering medium well and sending it back they reheated my slab of meat disgusting and instead of talking to the manager my bartender caught me to drinks the chef should have known you can't reheat a steak after you've heated it once it never comes out right this is fort Dodge's best and is by far the worst it's not even a prime cut of meat don't pay the exorbitant cost they ask read more

We had the Saturday night Prime rib special. You definitely get your money's worth. The prime rib was good but the baked potato was excellent! We had the mushrooms for an appetizer and I honestly didn't like them. The waitress who took of us was busy but tried to be attentive to us and outgoing. I probably would go back and try again. Apparently this is a new steakhouse in Fort Dodge and my coworker and I checked it out while in town. Atmosphere is friendly, but not overly fancy. You walk in the door and you're immediately in the dining room, so if they ever get busy, it would be an interesting wait. The service was on the rough side with the salads being completely neglected and not arriving until after the main entree. We both had the baked salmon which was unimpressive. Anyone can do overcooked salmon. Finish the night out with no deserts on the menu and the place earned 2 stars. I will continue my search for fine dining in Fort Dodge, IA. read more
