Anne and her entire staff are terrific. Since I started at One Love nearly three years ago, I have made measurable progress that has dramatically improved my quality of life, balance, flexibility, and overall well-being. It has also given me a wonderful place to unplug, decompress, and focus on my health now that I am retired. One Love is, above all, a welcoming community of health- and peace-seeking adults, ranging from college-age students to septuagenarians like me. In short, the staff and students work together to create a space that maximizes comfort, safety, and a sense of welcome, belonging, and well-being. While some students chat and socialize gently before and after class, others prefer to remain quiet and inwardly focused. Importantly, all genders and races are welcome because One Love fosters a truly inclusive environment for everyone, from complete beginners to seasoned practitioners, all of whom are united by the collective goal of inner peace and physical health. Without boring anyone with the details of my orthopedic and BPPV/balance issues--except to say that I am a 90% disabled veteran who now uses yoga as my ongoing physical therapy--I want Anne, her staff, and the public to know that One Love Yoga & Pilates has been an absolute godsend for me. The classes--which are very reasonably priced--have helped me remain active, independent, and optimistic in ways that I could not have imagined a few years ago. I tried bikram-style yoga for the first time and I like it more than expected! If you're looking to improve back and shoulder mobility and flexibility without all the sometimes complicated dance-like transitions, bikram is for you! The studio is larger to fit many students with proper staggered spacing. They offer hot yoga as well as many other practice types. Cleaning products are provided along with practice blocks if you want to use them. Merchandise is available up front near the storage cubbies you can use before and after your practice. The studio is very popular, so it can get a little bit cramped in the classes when they're at capacity, making it a bit awkward to be able to move freely during your practice. I've only taken a few classes there thus far, but the instructors have all been very knowledgeable and I can see why it's such a popular spot.

I believe this is the former Vision Yoga space (however, I never attended a class there, so I can't compare the two). What I can tell you is that Sara continues to make renovations and cosmetic improvements to the space, so if you visit, it will probably feel quite different. She takes a lot of pride in the space and the atmosphere. If you're visiting Lakewood Yoga, I cannot stress enough LEAVING EARLY FOR CLASS. They do not have a private parking lot. Parking is on the surrounding streets via parallel parking and meters. The classes are still running large in numbers so nearby parking will fill up fast. I also encourage you to get there early to get a good spot physically in the class (at least right now while it's still brand new and wildly popular) because it will get tight if you show up late. What I respect so deeply about Lakewood Yoga is the variety of classes. I am a person that only practices specific types of yoga, and Lakewood Yoga certainly has that variety. You will find vinyasa, power, yin, gentle, hatha, prenatal, and even family yoga! They have multiple classes every day so you can always find something that you're looking for. The environment is very non judgemental and supportive. With so few yoga studios in Lakewood, Lakewood Yoga is trailblazing!

It has an almost "brighter" feel with this name, and I love it! Sunaya is located in Rocky River right on the border of Lakewood and Rocky River. It's pretty easily accessible off the main drag off Clifton, so you can get there without too much trouble. Its located inside a strip mall with ample free parking in a shared private lot. I hadn't attended a class here since pre-pandemic but it was still a solid experience. I attended Monique's slow flow class. Upon arrival, she had all the supportive props set up at every spot, which was so nice! I appreciated that these were set-up already, as it allowed for everyone to be spaced out appropriately during the pandemic (if you're a yogi, you know sometimes people do not respect space when a lot of people sign-up for a class). However, these classes are small by design, which automatically helps. Happy to be back at the new Sunaya Studios!
