I looked no farther Half Moon Yoga, adorably located on Medina Square. The price was right for what I needed ($14 for a week unlimited pass). The studio space is no-frills but perfectly adequate. Class size is small. The real gem is Owner/Instructor Joanie. She's hands-on, extremely knowledgeable (all poses are called out by their Sanskrit names), and you're sure to listen to a killer soundtrack including The Boss! I had the best Savasana in recent memory here: Joanie rubs scented oil on every practioner's temples to encourage full relaxation. I would have given it 5 stars, but the class schedule is limited. 6:00am for power vinyasa? Yeoww! I would love to see this studio continue to grow. Stop by for a session; you won't regret how great you feel after.

I have left a review awhile back via google or their feedback intake and the owners were amazing at reaching out to me to acknowledge my feedback and thanked me for it. I look forward to eventually starting back up with taking classes here as I'm settled with moving. I love that you can also pay for one class, especially if you're a beginner or have a chaotic schedule and cannot commit to paying for a set # of classes. They offer packages/passports for those who are more set in their routines and are frequent patrons. Ranging from early morning classes or evening classes after you get off from work.

Each person you're directed to has a different and conflicting answer and their etiquette/ manners / professionalism are TOTALLY lacking to the point it was actually comical. 2nd let's touch on the schedule paper, online or otherwise ... they are woefully incorrect , in an average week if we attend 3 times the open gym schedule will be wrong 2 of those times. We've brought it to their attention to which we were told oh well ! The schedule has been the same for 5yrs (which is isn't/ changes quarterly) and that regardless they're closing ... it was basically me and my family telling them of the error to be spoken too like we were idiots by no less than 4 people including a rude old man who was lucky I was there with my family and not alone. Instead of apologizing and offering us an alternative paper schedule we were just told no less than 15 times (no exaggeration) that it's doesn't matter what it says online we're closing ... then were directed to paper schedule available to all member that are in the lobby - which were identical to online and wrong. A total joke for a place that's nearly $80 a month after tax for a family of 4.

I wanted to wait to write my review after having taken a months worth of classes. I am happy to say…read morethat my opinions of the studio have only improved because my experiences this past month solidified the positive first impression I had on the day I walked in after seeing a sign posted outside. I have taken a range of the beginner classes, including gentle yoga, intro to yoga, yoga basics, and the amazing restorative classes, which are offered several times a week. I could write pages about how much I love this place, but I will try to keep this brief. First of all, the studio is a warm, cozy, inviting environment, and I always immediately become more relaxed by just walking in. The front area has tons of yogi apparel and accessories for sale, and I love the convenience of that. Both of the practice rooms are tastefully, yet simply decorated and the dimmed lights and candles give the rooms a vibe or relaxation and quiet focus. I have taken classes with Melissa and Tricia and I hope to get around to taking classes with the other talented instructors at the studio. The real star, however, is Debbie. As the Brian mentioned, Debbie is one of the warmest, most friendly, genuine people I have met and she welcomed me with such kindness to the area and to the studio on the day that I happened to walk in. She truly cares about each and every person who walks into the studio and she takes her time to make sure you are properly aligned and doing each move correctly when you take her classes. She makes you feel comfortable with trying new things, but she is respectful of personal limitations and varying levels of expertise within any given class. I always leave Lifesource with a renewed sense of calm and relaxation and I am excited to make this place a part of my life here in Akron. I will certainly be extending my membership.

Excellent studio, though the soft-ish flooring is kind of odd. Also have never been in a studio…read morewhere it seemed acceptable for people to come in a few minutes late for a session. But they have great instructors, ample props including very nice bolsters, a clean restroom big enough to change in, and ample parking too. Definitely will be back -- not taking points off for the floor since that's a very personal viewpoint, and not taking points off for the staff letting people come in late since it's a little annoying but not worth complaining too loudly about (forgive yourself and others, right?). (Also would be good for them to have an electronic sign-in process when arriving, but again, these are all very minor complaints and I will absolutely return here. Stacy in particular was an excellent instructor. My only other suggestion would be for them to incorporate more pranayama and mindfulness meditation (for example, I like when instructors advise setting an intention at the beginning of the session, or positive affirmations, or speaking about the value of letting go... all would make nice additions to their classes, unless you prefer more functional and less spiritual/thoughtful yoga practice).

I will say it can be a bit pricey but the service represents that pricing. I got a facial here once and it rocked my world, so relaxing and my skin was so fresh and shiny for weeks after. The sauna is nice too. You get water, plenty of clean towels and a robe. The yoga room in Medina is bright and spacious and clean and has a big mirror for a cute selfie haha!

The facilities are clean, aesthetically pleasing, the staff is friendly and helpful and they offer several services, classes and even have a little cafe with some yummy snacks and drinks. There is also a Skincare/Lash/Brow aesthetic salon inside, and from what I could tell I think they even had some child care.
