Beautiful location with very friendly and welcoming staff. We chose the heritage wines flight. We liked the Keystone red and the sparkling wine the best. We saw they offer slushies, but maybe a future option would be to create a summer Sangria? Look forward to going back for a music night.

I've been wanting to come here forever. We went weeks ago. Atmosphere: this winery was easy to find. Plenty of parking nearby. It got chilly out so I walked to the car easily. It's flat so no worry about hills. Plenty of space to stretch out and bring a table and chairs. The stone building are beautiful. Food: they had 3 truck options. Lucky us! Beer: our favorite moo ducks was there that night. Wine: line moved very quick outside and you can go inside to purchase wine, if you prefer. Band: played everything from 50's to 90's. Staff were helpful. Bathrooms were clean. We had a great date night here!

Stopped in for a tasting and was pleasantly surprised that they had live music. It was the perfect Saturday afternoon activity. I tried mostly dry and off dry wines and ended up walking away with a bottle of Rhapsody in Blue which is a lot for me since I don't normally lean towards whites. They also have a few dry rosès and reds which are usually wins with me. The candlelight and chambourcin were both good options as well. If my wine shelf wasn't already running over I would have picked those up to. But it gives me a reason to come back in a few weeks and pick up more wine. I also like the price range of the bottles it made me want to buy more!

One of my favorite locations in Lancaster County. A beautiful, sprawling property that's been lovingly restored. Take a tour of the vineyards and winery, stop in for a tasting and enjoy your bottle on a lawn chair or picnic table. During the warmer months that is a great place to spend an afternoon and evening with some of the fruited, sweeter wines. Take in a concert as part of their summer series and enjoy local food trucks and music. In terms of wine preferences, while I am normally more of a dry-red type of person, I enjoy Nissley's whites and rose options. The choices here tend to align more with picnic/back porch type wines rather than offerings I'd usually pair with a dinner. My top recommendation is the Rhapsody in Blue, with some crackers and light cheese.

What a wonderful hidden secret in Central PA. They have an excellent array of wInes, including the aptly named Naughty Marietta. The historical story of their origin and how they named the wines were interesting, and the canned blueberry and strawberry wines were quite good. The grapeful reds and whites were smooth and tasty as well. This is definitely a place to explore, especially on a lazy weekend day. You won't be disappointed. Oh, and the resident sheep dog was quite vocal but don't worry you won't get bit (well, at least I didn't)!

Blown away but the history of this place! Family owned and operated for generations! If you read my other review you will know I am not a fan of PA wines, we just can't grow those damn grape here! NIssley does PA wines surprisingly well! The price is on point, along with their selection! Btw- THEY HAVE DOGS! Wish they had more in the snack area, but you can aways bring your own!

We had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon of learning about wine and about Nissley Vineyards. Their heritage is remarkable. Their wine is vast and very tasty for even the pIckiest of palettes. They have a wonderful tasting room wIth a lovely fireplace. The grounds would be a great place to explore on a nice spring day. I'd look forward to the summer time events! Will definitely return!

This was one of my favorite drives to a winery. When you pull into the driveway, it's a long stretch of drive to the winery. One each side is nothing but vineyards. As you pull into the winery, there are historic brick buildings and then this large building in the back where the winery is located. When you walk inside it's a small area for purchasing bottles or choosing what wines you want to sample. No sitting downstairs, they have an upstairs that is the wine making area. This is where you can seat or outside. This is a winery that is setup for outside seating only. They have a stage for concerts. Now the wine was all good from what I had tried. I really liked everything that we tasted. I'd love to go here when it's warm outside. Just so much real estate to get a glass or bottle and sit anywhere.

Could not ask for anything more! Would give this 10 stars if I could! The drive in is a bit of a meandering through their property, which totally sets the scene that you are at a beautiful vineyard. The ambience is phenomenal! Vineyards; old beautiful buildings; all in the name of wine. Picturesque as could be. But also so warm and cozy and comfortable. Inside of the old stone building, it feels like a cool wine cave. The restrooms are old, but clean, comfy, and serve their purpose. I was given their large (but not at all overwhelming) menu to pick from for my tasting. 6 tastings for $8, and I got to keep my glass. Fun! The whites I chose were very mellow & pleasant. I also tasted the cabernet sauvignon which I liked. Bottles were nicely priced ($14-20) so I bought a bottle to take home. I sat on the outdoor patio for my tasting, and the scenery was just divine. I could have sat there all day (and I got the impression they wouldn't have minded). Service was friendly & attentive, and not at all bothersome. I'm glad I ate beforehand, because I have food sensitivities (dairy & gluten) and there weren't any safe options for me. For those who don't have allergies/sensitivities, there are a couple of food choices which is really nice. It seems they have events and entertainment in the summer, so I look forward to checking those out! Have I mentioned the property is serene, so very peaceful, and picturesque?! The wine was also good. All around fantastic experience! Can't wait to go back!

Very friendly, knowledgeable staff! Cozy fireside tasting room with live entertainment was a delight! I could spend an entire day here... so relaxing! And, of course, how could I not mention the wine?! I sampled 6 of their drier wines (here are my ratings; 0 being I'd never try again, 10 being I must have again): 1- sevyal blanc - 7/10 2- rhapsody in blue - 8/10 3- candlelight - 6/10 4- merlot reserve - 7/10 5- chambourcin - 8/10 6- valley red - 8/10 I was able to try the Naughty Marietta afterwards, and, I must say, it was my favorite! 9/10!

Stopped in today for a tasting. The pours were quite generous and the flavors were fantastic. If you're in the area I would recommend stopping in!

It's a beautiful place to spend a warm day. There are fields upon fields of grape vines and a great indoor barn to sample them. I'd recommend coming here on a Saturday night during the summer for their concert series. Bring chairs, a table, and food and enjoy the summer al fresco. They have all of their wines for purchase with cups and an opener. As well as ciders on tap and a few food trucks. The porta pottys are also the nicer ones that feel more like bathrooms. This is a pic of my friend and me with one of the owners, Jonas, at a concert last summer! He could be on Bainbridge/Lancaster's most eligible bachelors!

Beautiful setting, some nice wines. 6 tastings for free (many different prices mentioned on yelp!). Very small store no snacks available. Folks nice. There is a concert tonite which sounded wonderful! Too bad we weren't staying around the area. Worth the trip!

It doesn't necessarily look like that as you drive up. The only downfall is that there is only one restroom. The pricing seemed decent. The wine list is well thought out, approachable yet refined, with something for every palate. Nothing felt mass-produced or rushed and each pour had intention behind it. We had called ahead because Google said it was closing at 4 PM, while another site said it was already closed. Fortunately, the person on the phone assured us it was open. When we arrived, the place was empty. We walked inside and were greeted by the guy at the counter, who might have been the owner. His demeanor was a bit off-putting for our group, including myself. When I mentioned we wanted to sample some meads, he had both menus together but then moved one menu aside, saying it wasn't included in the tasting. A clearer explanation would have been appreciated. He mentioned that the tasting included four meads, and when I asked if we should write down our choices, he said just to tell him what we wanted. We started with the Almond Spice, a sparkling mead infused with toasted almonds. At 6.5% ABV, it was sweet and delicious on the palate. Next, we tried the Apple Pie mead, which had a delightful cinnamon flavor and was incredibly good but also sweet. The Pear Melomel was surprisingly one of my favorites, and finally, the Peach Melomel, fermented with natural peach juice, was amazing but very sweet. All the meads were sweet but tasty. From the "forbidden" taster menu, we had a glass of the Hibiscus mead, known as sorrel or fleur de Jamaica. This honey mead, with its tart berry flavor and deep red color, was semi-sweet and packed a punch at 13.2% ABV. Sitting outside was more pleasant than inside, as the indoor area was small. The staff, particularly the man at the counter, could be more welcoming, which would definitely improve the overall experience. Despite this, it was a nice place to stop and enjoy some great meads. I highly recommend the Almond Spice mead--it might just be the best mead I've ever tasted.

The woodfired pizza was excellent. Now the bad news: the winery is apparently in legal trouble with the neighbors, and it's easy to see why. After backtracking we saw the tiny handwritten cardboard sign directing us to the actual alternate entrance. I'd suggest to the owners that they try to address the misrouting problem with Apple Maps (and perhaps others), and/or put up a bigger sign. My first choice of drink (their own branded orange seltzer) was so cloyingly sweet that I couldn't drink it and actually poured most of it out (my friend really liked the cranberry cider flavor, though). The wine I got to replace my drink was just OK. I'm not a wine snob by any means, but if this is the best PA can produce it's not surprising that the region isn't known for winemaking. I wish Moon Dancer well and hope they make it. I'd love to be invited to a wedding there!
