Unlike at least one reviewer, who appears not to have actually used this service, I and my family have used this service and had about as wonderful experience as you can get under the circumstances. The location is desirable and family friendly, and Carrie brings a sense of calm to a situation that can be stressful and troubling. We had tried a variety of lice treatment remedies and services -- "nit picking" hair services, organic products and chemicals -- with no success, in part due to the thickness and length of my hair. "Nit picking" services and products simply failed to eliminate all the nits. Repeat visits became too expensive and the repeated use of chemicals became too concerning. The Nit Free Noggins approach was successful. My children were not bothered at all by the heat treatment, and even if that is a concern, Nit Free Noggins is open and honest about their approach and will thoroughly explain what they will do so that families can make informed decisions about whether to proceed. Carrie and her husband were hospitable and kind and we left relieved and nit/lice free. I highly recommend this approach over the nit-picking approaches that often require customers to pick up where they left off and repeat visits and I highly recommend Nit Free Noggins because they provide excellent service in a comfortable atmosphere. (Another reviewer's comment about the lack of privacy at the Ashland location is perplexing. Window treatments are in place, and their location provides a great way for letting parents know that there's a service available to help them with something that can often be difficult to address. I highly recommend Nit Free Noggins. I tried to resolve our lice issue myself and after several days of continual head checks and combing, I continued to find nits. My husband found Nit Free Noggins online. I reached a breaking point and called at 11:00 on a Sunday night. Carrie called me back within minutes and we scheduled an appointment. Not only were Carrie and her staff pleasant and professional, they gave us peace of mind that the nightmare would be over. In addition, to the fabulous service, Carrie educated us. She talked to my daughter about sharing hats, letting friends play on her bed etc. I did purchase their nit comb which is far superior to the one that came with the RID along with some of their deterent products. But there was no pressure to purchase anything. Carrie even offered recommendations for alternative less expensive shampoos that I could by at retail stores or Sally's Beauty Supply. Visiting from out of town and staying with my sister over the July 4th weekend, we found our 2 daughters had lice. Yikes! Panicked that we just infested my sister's household, we called Carrie on Sunday, July 3rd at noon. Carrie was so helpful on the phone and sympathized with our situation. She took my information and called me back within the hour. She adjusted hers and her staffer's schedule to fit us in that day. Amazing! By 2pm we my we were all be treated to lice removal. A few days ago, I found lice in my hair! Horrible, I know. My mom, sister and I all did several at home treatments and comb outs, and by the time we were done, 60 bucks were wasted because my sister and I still had lice! SO, deciding it was time to see an expert, we headed to Nit Free Noggins, and boy. I'm sure glad we did! I was given a spa like treatment, which felt amazing and I got to watch my favorite show! My little sister, who is quite fussy for a 6 year old, was extremely content and happy while watching Barbie. Carrie, our lice expert, was so gentle and considerate and my sister loved her! Gross circumstance- Great place! I tried Nix and olive oil treatment at home but was still nervous about not getting everything. Thank goodness I went because Jennifer was able to pull out all the nits that I'd missed! She was super reassuring and very knowledgeable. My treatment was done in about an hour and I felt so good after it was done! They have you clean your car, bring a clean shirt, and send you home with a list of exactly what to clean so you don't go crazy cleaning everything under the sun. They have a 30 day guarantee and I'm hoping that I don't need to use it! So far, so good! Definitely worth every penny for the peace of mind. I can't rave enough about Nit Free Noggins! The day before we were to go on vacation, I discovered that my 2 children had head lice. I was referred to Nit Free Noggins by our school nurse. We were able to get in right away and get a Lousebuster treatment which was a one time treatment and allowed us to still leave the next day on our vacation. I can't say enough about this place. I would say that I am a lice expert. My family has had it about 5 times. We have used several companies over the years but this is by far the best place. The use a multiple step process to get rid of the lice. They use natural products to kill the lice and then comb it out with a bit comb. They are friendly and willing to answer all questions and calm nerves. They may be pricey but well worth the peace of mind. I would recommend this place to everyone I know. I went to the salon/clinic to treat myself. I thought my children were clear because my pediatrician said so, the owner said best to bring in the whole family. Even my 1 year old still had it. She treated him chemical free and very fast. My 4year that I worked on for 5 days still had plenty left. We all got treated stress and worry free in less than a day.
