We took our daughter to urgent care to be seen on 6/7/25, and when we arrived, we were third in line. A few more families came in after us--probably around five to seven kids total. The visit itself was fine, but what was frustrating is that we ended up being the very last ones seen, even though we were among the first to arrive. Everyone who came in after us was called ahead of us, and by the time we were finally seen, the waiting room was completely empty. It just didn't make any sense, and when we asked about it--politely--they didn't offer any explanation or try to address the situation. I'm really disappointed with how it was handled. read more

Everyone on team is friendly & patient with the kids taking time to answer their quetions. My son had an asthma flair up & they were able to get him the meds he needs. Sweet and playful with kids goes along way when they aren't feeling good. The doctors I have encountered have all taken their time and been very methodical with the exam and diagnosis. This approach does result in longer wait times than most urgent cares. The minute clinic is usually a lot faster for an ear infection or minor illness. The lobby wait time is usually less but the wait in the room can easily reach an hour. Salt in the wound is that they don't e-prescribe. After waiting 1.5 hours to drop off at the pharmacy and wait some more is a little exhausting. read more

I heard so many rave reviews that when my child split his chin open I told my husband to take him there and left work to meet them. We did most of the work of cleaning out the laceration ourselves because the nurse was nervous to touch it so I swaddled him up in a sheet and cleaned it out myself so we could make sure he didn't end up with an infection later on. They then used my own skin adhesive to close it because theirs was on back order. They charged as both a primary visit and urgent care visit which caused some issues with primary care visits being covered for my child as the insurance said we had already had a visit for the year. We paid full price even without the staff or material to fix his wound with minimal risk of an infection or scarring down the road. Maybe we just hit it on an off night but it makes me nervous to try them again for anything more involved down the road read more

Insurance nightmare. I vented frustrations with staff not explaining what my EXCELLENT insurance would or would not pay for. Of course they will recommend their quick COVID tests AND the longer tests. Staff SHOULD know what is covered before it's submitted. They require televisit before a COVID test to charge more. I explained frustrations and then get blamed for not knowing my insurance inside and out. Don't you have paid coders for that? TERRIBLE billing department! Over two years dealing with them for a simple Covid test. I paid $40.00 on the phone before I could get my daughters appointment to be tested. I was told that is the only amount I had to pay. I knew I only had a $25 co-pay, but paid the $40 anyway. I am still being billed for $25.00 even though they billed my insurance for $400.00 and my insurance paid their portion. My insurance says NiteHawk owes me $15.00 of the $40. BUT NiteHawk insists the $40. is a convenience fee and I still owe $25.00 copay. Very Frustrating!!! Oh they never answer the phone bc they do not open until 3:00. read more

When I went in with my child they told me they couldn't verify my insurance for whatever reason so they would bill me later. I see why. If you want to pay your copay then have them not even check out your child and have the cocky doctor tell you what is wrong then have them call and text you over $5 for over a year and you tell them to send it back through the insurance then they are the right place for you! We had a good experience with the front desk, and with the nurse and techs. They get a 5-star rating. However the Dr came across with this subtle but not-really-subtle condescending and cocky attitude. Our kid was on a delayed vaccination schedule per his pediatrician, but she kept on hammering on us about vaccines as if we're stupid. She mentioned the word vaccine some 9-10 times during the visit until it became annoying. We're not coming back. Thank God for competition. read more

Please read the whole review! Last ones there for the night. Took long time to get in. Hmmm. The staff are great. The doctor was great. But had a problem with the fact that my son was there in the room waiting for the doctor to come in with a 2nd degree burn on his hand and was in pain. No one offered ice or a cold pack. I found out why. They don't have cold packs !! I ask for one and got a embarrassing reply from them that they don't have cold packs at their urgent care medical center. LMAO. How does a medical center that cares for children not have cold packs. My son was at the corner sink flushing his hand under the cold water till they showed up with ice in a specimen bag. Not impressed. Again. Doctor was great. Who ever owns this place is a cheap wad! UPDATE I received a call from management regarding my first review. I was given the most sincere apology I've ever heard from a company. I was told that the staff was informed of my visit and was instructed to never allow this to happen again. The facility is great, the staff is helpful and great with children. So, why the three-star review? Two things: First, they waited until I was leaving to mention they are not listed as "in-network" with insurance carriers "because we are too new". My insurance currently doesn't pay ANY benefit for not in-network providers, so this entire visit will end up being out of pocket. Tell me ahead of time, or are you worried that you will lose too many customers? Second, they misdiagnosed my daughter with lice. I saw one insect (a louse? I'm not sure...) while in the office, but no more. I asked if she could have picked up a single louse from the waiting room, but the doctor said no, that the white spots in her hair were eggs. Okay, fine. I took her home, got out the lice comb and found nothing. Even the white specs ended up being skin cells when I inspected them in my microscope -- simple dandruff. EDIT: Now with new, improved 1 star review. Why? They didn't call in the prescription for my daughter at the pharmacy. Now my daughter is in pain. Fortunately the pharmacist at Walgreen's is competent and got something that will help my daughter's pain until she can go to another doctor tomorrow. EDIT 2: A nurse from NiteHawk called today and apologized about the problems. She verified that she called in the prescription to the correct store. Interestingly, she mentioned that the pharmacist said she gave me instructions on how to fix a medicine that would take place of the prescribed medicine. I never had that conversation with the pharmacist, so I'm not sure who is covering their butt here. I will stop by the Walgreen's to find out. In reference to the misdiagnosis, she apologized and said the doctor probably jumped the gun on the diagnosis, given the prevalence of the particular ailment in our area. Still not an appropriate diagnosis, but I appreciate the apology. In reference to the insurance issue, she said that mentioning the insurance ahead of time would have been the better choice, and she will speak with the company's CEO to see how they can make this clearer for new patients, especially once with healthcare fund insurance like mine where the out-of-pocket costs would have come out of a pre-allocated fund. EDIT 3: I went to Walgreen's -- the one the nurse said the prescription was called into -- and they still don't have my prescriptions on file. There is no way my prescriptions had a "note" about a conversation between myself and the pharmacist, especially since the conversation I had with the pharmacist last night was about a completely different medicine. Both the pharmacist and the assistant remembered me (and my name!) from last night, so I'm sorry, I don't believe you, NiteHawk. After receiving a follow-up call, I was considering raising the review to 2 stars. Now I wish I could reduce it to zero. EDIT 4: I was told by the nurse (see "edit 2") that the business manager would call me to advise me how billing works for those of us with HSA insurance. I have not received this call and it's been 2 weeks. She said it would be within 3 days. Really, guys? EDIT 5: Thank you, Patrick, Director of Operations, for following up with me. There is no better pediatric practice, much less an urgent care. If we can wait until they open in the afternoon to take all 4 of our kids, we do. Every single doctor and nurse is great. As a CPEN/Trauma RN, who works at a Pediatric Emergency Dept in the DFW area, I can honestly say that I would take my child to Nighthawk Urgent care over every single urgent care in the DFW area. Why? Little known fact...there is a high likelihood the providers you are seeing there are Pediatric Hematology/Oncology trained Physicians, Pediatric ENT physicians, Pediatric ED physicians, etc rather than general practice physicians. Do they advertise this fact? Nope...Are they excited I mentioned it? lol..maybe not...THAT is where the adage comes into play: if you want to know the best place to take your child, best doctors etc, ask a nurse. Had to take my son to Nitehawk while we were visiting family. The place looked new and nice so that's where we choose to take him. The place is clean, new, and has plenty of space. The receptionist was beyond welcoming and friendly and really went out of her way to help us get processed in and in to see the doc. When we did get to see the doc we were very pleased to get a doc with 40 plus years experience. Dr. Blum had great bed side manner and really put my son at ease as he was a little nervous. The doc did a through exam and really took the time to explain everything to us and genuinely seemed to care. He was excellent that's all I can say! They even called a couple days later to check up on my son. I cannot recommend highly enough! Go give them a try it's a great place! read more

Wasted our time going to nitehawk, totally felt that y'all were just charging the insurance and making money off coding. Daughter had fever for 24 hours+ and I knew what I saw with her difficulty breathing so called nurses line and they sent me to your urgent care. She was sick, had fever, and visiting a new office with new people. So obviously scared and cried A LOT making it difficult to be examined, but still was not a thorough examination on YOUR part. Doctor kept saying "take her to ER, or contact pcp" instead of doing his best to provide care where we went (your office) to get care then. Of course time was about closing and they were probably ready to go. Doctor said difficulty breathing he saw in my daughter is equivalent to a child crying. This is a pediatric office, the bedside manners from doctor did NOT show experience with pediatric patients. Nurse Rachel did try her best and quietly stepped in to the room to keep baby calm was able to hear crackling on my daughters right lung and see her difficulty breathing. I did follow up with pcp the next morning they got her in performed a thorough examination seeing my daughters fast and difficult breathing. Gave a breathing treatment, X-rays and RSV test which came back all to show consistency and positive for RSV. I will not be returning to NiteHawk or recommending. Simply put y'all checked in for the bank not the baby. And thank you Tech Isabel for checking on us quietly and bringing us a juice box and a water bottle. read more

We had to take our oldest here one weekend when he had an infected cut on his foot. He was terrified when we got there but they were so incredibly gentle and careful with him. By the time we were done he was smiling and happy. The rooms are all painted really cute and the whole facility was very clean. I took my daughter to NiteHawk late last year on a Friday evening as she was complaining that her back was hurting. As soon as my husband, daughter, and I walked in we were greeted by a male staff member who checked us in. We didn't wait long for nurse Alex to take us to our room. After the initial meeting with the nurse, we waited about 10 minutes for Dr. Joanna Clem to check out my daughter. She recommended that my daughter have an x-ray to rule out any spinal issues. We didn't wait long for the pictures to be taken and read. Dr. Clem got another opinion on the images by a Dr. Moore. Both came into our room and we discussed the next steps. Both Dr. Clem and Dr. Moore were wonderful and our nurse (Alex) was compassionate and seemed to care. I received a phone call on Sunday from Dr. Moore who just wanted to check up on my daughter to see how she was doing. A-Class service! The facility was very clean both in the front and in the back where the nurses station and all the patient rooms were. I would definitely come here again and would recommend NiteHawk. read more

Best pediatric urgent care in the DFW area! I've been to Acute Care Kids multiple times, and Nitehawk provides much better care. All of the staff are genuinely nice, respectful, professional, and pleasant. The facility was clean and new. We checked in online, registration was quick when we arrived. The medical assistant Isabel was so nice, prompt, courteous and pleasant. Dr. Booth genuinely cares and provided sound medical advice. Everything was prompt and the care we received for my daughter was very thorough. It was worth the drive for us. I will always be coming here for my children's urgent care needs. It beats any other pediatric urgent care and beats the hassle of the ER. read more

We took our 2 week old to Nighthawk for an eye infection. The check-in process was fast, we were called to an exam room within minutes. The doctor was super helpful. They whole process was reassuring for this new mama! They sent the prescription to our pharmacy, and we left to pick it up. When we found out the pharmacy was closed and called Nighthawk, they quickly sent a new prescription before the other pharmacy closed too. Nighthawk was so easy to use, we will definitely use them again if the need arises. read more
