Been wanting to try this place after seeing so many social media posts. We went for coffee and small plates. They didn't disappoint. Ordered off the day menu (11-4). The Kakuni (Pork Belly) Ube Waffle was so good. Beautiful presentation, fresh ingredients, and the flavors were bright and savory. For drinks, we had a sesame cloud with oat milk and the ube city. Both were very tasty especially the ube city. I'm not a fan of matcha but I loved this drink. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The chef even came out to have a great chat with us about his passion for the food and educated us on a few of the ingredients he uses to create the Japanese fusion. He sold us on their upcoming Valentine's event featuring lamb. We'll definitely be coming back. I got an iced latte to go. Honey turmeric I think. And it's one of the best iced lattes I've had in a long time!

    Maiko To Be

Great spot to visit before/while waiting for dinner! So many tables available on Friday night and great fast service. We got a variety of cocktails and the yuzu drop was AMAZING! Pictured: maiko to be-not my favorite.

    Christmas pop up

We came here for drinks after dinner on a Saturday night around 6pm. It wasn't crowded at all, but I'm assuming that was because of the time. There was live music outside, and there were 3-4 tables with people sitting outside! I'm sure there are more people once it gets a little later. The staff was very friendly! We didn't have any food but our drinks were good. The Christmas pop up was super cute. I believe they said it would be set up until January.

    'Quick' Cocktails (from taps) Menu
    Chandler H.

Modern, Chic, minimalist ambience with luxurious touches throughout.. Creative, flavorful 'quick' cocktails (served chilled from taps), coffee, Matcha (strong green tea), chai, Mocktails. Energy bites (different balls of dates, nuts, and additions such as coconut), and Japas (Asian bites of Japanese deliciousness). We had smoked salmon and Chicken Katsu on potato waffles and several energy bites. All delish! Great place to chill and socialize.

Zen Garden and Blushing Geisha cocktails

Just got cocktails and they were delicious! It reminded me of handcrafted cocktails that I got while living in DC. Service was great and a beautiful atmosphere.

It's a gorgeous space. They do great things like high tea. Draft cocktails are dangerously smooth.

WoW, so where do I start... We loved this…read more.. We were greeted and Seated rather quickly... Waitress was friendly and knowledgeable... Everything we ordered was fantastic, and the food looked like the pictures on their website. IYKYK, that's a rare experience. We had a few mixed drinks, not omg, but well made and tasty. Wife second was a better tasting than her first. (She ordered something different, it was much better.) We did the pick 3 from the queso's, and salsas. Pimento cheese, Ghost Pepper salsa, and Queso w/ Andouille sausage. Tacos were fabulous, wife and I both did the pick 3 flights. We both had one of the Big Thumpers, I also had Cats Meow, and a Filthy Fajita, she also had The Yoda, and the Bayou Baddie. All of them awesome. So why 4 stars and not 5 you ask, pricing. This was not a cheap lunch, but........ Yes I would go again if I was in the area. We would come again in a heartbeat. Food was fresh/delicious. Highly recommend

Nestled in historic Madison, V&O offers some of the most unique wines and whiskey/bourbon offerings in the region. There's a typical bar area with TVs showing sports, but surrounding the bar are plush, lounge chairs and couches that feel more intimate and inviting for groups. Selection of libations is a great start, but without passionate and knowledgeable 'tenders the experience feels... incomplete. V&O doesn't disappoint here either as everyone is well-versed and opinionated in what they are serving. It's the perfect place to let a few hours bleed away and forget what is going on in the world; maybe have an intelligent sparring session about tastes in the 'brown drink' or adult grape juice... You can spend an entire night here or end up here at the end of the night for a night cap... I don't think you can wrong either way. It's becoming one of my favorite places for wine and whiskey/bourbon... but tread carefully; there are so many things to try you may find it hard to walk out to a ride home. However, you won't regret the time spent within the walls of this gem... I can't promise the same for the next day

Too much. Asked to substitute the roasted potatoes for the fries. Both are same price but was up charged 3$. They were cold on top of that The ugly Personally think most of the offerings came from kitchen subpar for the cost. My companion had the chicken sandwich which she said was awful and dry. Wine and drinks 15$ and up range. Have eaten here 4 times and honestly not impressed with the food quality, nice atmosphere is the best part of the place We left and went to Domaine South for another wine most of theirs were 6$ and very nice. Place was packed as well. Probably our choice going forward Really to bad on the food As I said it's a nice place.

The restaurant sits just a stone's throw from the ballpark where the Rocket City Trash Pandas play, so the whole place already has a fun, lively atmosphere before you even sit down. Now given the name "Prohibition," I half expected someone to knock on the door and ask for a secret password like it was 1927. Back in those days, enjoying a drink required secrecy, dim lights, and maybe a jazz band playing in the corner. Today, things are a little easier... though for this non-drinker, my order was simple: water on the rocks, hold the lemon. I prefer my water about 100 proof for maximum flavor. My boss and coworker grabbed seats at the bar while we looked over the menu. We kicked things off with the Pork Belly Burnt Ends and the Pork Bao Buns. Let me tell you, those Pork Belly Burnt Ends were an absolute masterpiece. They came out crisp and seasoned just right with a little spicy kick. Served with raw carrots, homemade pickles, and lettuce wraps to bundle those little jewels together--downright tasty. If food had a Hall of Fame, these would already have a plaque on the wall. The Pork Bao Buns were good as well, but they simply couldn't match the grand slam the Pork Belly Burnt Ends delivered. For my main course, I ordered the Smoked Wangs with the Jala Mango seasoning and a side salad. The wings were delicious--cooked and seasoned to perfection. Every bite was solid. No bootlegging required. Prohibition definitely hit it out of the park today. Between the great food, the great service, and the fun atmosphere near the ballpark, this place is a must-stop for locals or anyone just passing through Madison. Our waitress tried pretty hard to convince us to order dessert, so I'm guessing their sweets are just as flavorful as everything else on the menu. The only problem I had today? I couldn't finish my meal. I was absolutely stuffed. If this had been the 1920s, the only crime committed here would've been leaving food on the plate. Great food. Great service. I'll gladly return--though next time I may need a little more room in the stomach.

I had the Cesar Salad and Chicken Piccata dish. The food was just average. I expected more for the cost and reviews. The lettuce was fresh and cold, the croutons were ok, but the dressing was too maynaisey for me. If they used anchovies, I couldn't tell. I like the Cesar salad at Stoney River better. The Chicken Picatta was served with Linguini right out the box. I mean if you are going to tout your homemade pasta then serve it with the dish. The chicken was cut very thin and I would have liked a little more lemon flavor with the sauce as it was very slight. Service - Was very good and the wait staff very attentive. No complaints here. Ambiance - The atmosphere was mixed. It has a nice look inside with traditional Italian tables and flat wear. There was a bar with televisions on that the open floor plan made it seem out of place and was a distraction to the dining experience. The biggest draw back was the music. Very loud such that you had to talk over it, which made the whole resteraunt loud when filled. Two entrees and two glasses of average wine plus the medium Cesar salad and tip came to $114. An average meal not a great meal for an expensive price. Still looking for a great Italian place in the city.
