This is our second time here & this time it's to celebrate my birthday for early dinner. Unfortunately, there was a private party down at the cellar so we weren't able to be seated there like last time. The staff is friendly & helpful. The food is just amazing! The king salmon dish did not photograph well but it's soo delicious. My family loved their foods. We ordered the soufflé right away knowing could take a while to prepare & our waiter confirmed it could take over 1/2 hr. The inside is a little dark & has that intimate setting. Overall, we always enjoy dining here & will recommend it.

A top notch date night spot perfectly placed in HSV downtown square. It's probably one of the best restaurants in and longest lasting in such a competitive industry. Everything from the service, staff, food, cocktails even the vibes are all just amazing.

My husband and I had a wonderful dinner last night. I didn't take a picture of his Ribeye steak. The food was delicious and Tristan was our waiter and he was on point. He took very good care of us made good suggestions and was super friendly. We will definitely be back!!!

Cute little cozy spot. The atmosphere is kinda elegant with the lighting and tablecloths. The staff were really nice and attentive. The food was delicious! The pricing was typical for an upscale restaurant.

Our visit this time was again, fabulous. Dylan was our server and was the best! My wife doesn't drink alcohol and she wanted a mock-tail. They were out of NA gin and vodka, so he made her a fantastic NA drink that she flipped over. Great job sir. The Apalachicola oysters appetizers, beat salad, and lobster thermidore were out of this world! You'll notice in the photo just how delicious it was.

The last time I was here with some colleagues was about 1 1/2 years ago and I really enjoyed the food and the ambiance. This time around, I made reservation for myself and I was even better. I ordered the goat cheese beat salad and for my main dish the short ribs and grits. Salad was nicely coated and had perfect amount of toppings. Short ribs were amazingly braised; not on the sweeter side and not too salty. This dish also pairs very well with a full bodied Cabernet which I ordered Austin Hope from Paso Robles, CA. Services was on point and I am looking forward to my next business trip.

Cotton Row is a beautiful restaurant. Narrow, but very intimate. Service is seven-star. Our waiter, also Brian (Bryan?) was the height of fine dining hospitality. The bar has a great inventory. Service off of it was very slow. It took 25 minutes, from order, to get drinks to the table. They came after the appetizers were served. Second one took longer. The meal was over, when it arrived. Pricing for the liquor at the bar is exceedingly high, to the area. The cocktails were also more. The food was exceptional. The Manhattan clam chowder was beautiful. The Bibb lettuce salad, with the watermelon radish, and the mustard vinaigrette, was delicious. The shortrib ravioli was a star. The rack of lamb, with the pisatchio crust, was delicate and perfectly cooked. A great evening for a business meal, anniversary, or a special night out. Thanks to Huntsville foodie Pamela M. for the recommend. Great spot!

Foods on point. Drinks and wine selection are respectable. Bourbon selection is strong. Sit with Rodney at the bar. He's the $&:/!

    Is there a dress code?

No specific dress code. I would say make a little effort, though. Not a flip flop, shorts and t-shirt place. It's a classy casual place.

The chicken skin kept falling off the meat, the sweet and spicy chicken was way too hot, almost unbearable to eat for my girlfriend. And then the Caesar had too much anchovie taste which wasn't good. The Brussels sprouts needed to get cooked longer too. Overall it wasn't bad but not enjoyable, but corporate needs to change it back to the old chicken recipe.

They try enjoy the area occasionally to make the best of each moment and this was definitely a place for save in the "Favorites" collection! To begin with the atmosphere was inviting and modern. Photo op walls are the best, as well as detail oriented interior design down to plating. Hubby and I shared a half chicken of the honey dusted chicken and it was mesmerizing. Tender, not dry, seasoned just enough with their "bee dust," and sides were great as well. A lot more Brussels sprouts than I expected but was able to share, would probably get the fried okra next time. Biscuits for a cause and preserves I give a 7/10. The fruit was pretty runny, not like a jam, although the butter was great. Texture of the biscuit could be worked on but it wasn't dry or bland, just different which is why trying things is important! Don't know until you find out. Overall, pleasant service and meal after our convention!

The staff should ask you as quickly as possible after you sit. I say this knowing they can be busy getting drinks for the whole restaurant. It probably goes without saying I had to ask. I'm sure if I didn't ask I would still be sitting at the bar waiting. Three staff and I heard all kinds of language and they were focused on their personal issues, not their patrons. They have a great bourbon selection. The bar is a beautiful off-white marble top and feels cool to the touch. Great vibe among all the people sitting in the bar. There are nice, big windows in the bar and comfortable seating. I ordered the Mahi Mahi and it did not disappoint. A light crust, pan fried to perfection. The chopped vegetable medley was the perfect pairing. Very good. Temperature was perfect and it arrived promptly. No waiting. Desert was a peach cake with ice cream. The young lady at the bar recommended it over the strawberry mason jar. I'll have to come back and try the other. The food was great. The drink was great. The ambience was great. If the bar staff was up to par, it was a 5-star experience. I know the bar can be hard work, but don't forget your patrons. Ask them if they want another drink and pour it. Drinks are highly profitable.

Low lit, quiet and moody. There was a rehearsal dinner going on in their event room and it was so nice. But our server Rae was super sweet, very attentive and gave us recommendations as well as another server that was walking around. For the food, I will say that I had some favorites: the hush puppies, Brussels, and the short rib. To me the fried green tomatoes were a bit too thick and just not well seasoned for me. mahi Mahi as well lacked a little seasoning. Fries and aioli were a good side. I am more than willing to come back and try more! I'm interested in their Tuscan Wine dinner coming up for sure. My boyfriend enjoyed his old fashioned which he had never had their version and it was very good. My mocktail was really good as well as my glass of Loosen Bros Riesling. Will be back!

The restaurant sits just a stone's throw from the ballpark where the Rocket City Trash Pandas play, so the whole place already has a fun, lively atmosphere before you even sit down. Now given the name "Prohibition," I half expected someone to knock on the door and ask for a secret password like it was 1927. Back in those days, enjoying a drink required secrecy, dim lights, and maybe a jazz band playing in the corner. Today, things are a little easier... though for this non-drinker, my order was simple: water on the rocks, hold the lemon. I prefer my water about 100 proof for maximum flavor. My boss and coworker grabbed seats at the bar while we looked over the menu. We kicked things off with the Pork Belly Burnt Ends and the Pork Bao Buns. Let me tell you, those Pork Belly Burnt Ends were an absolute masterpiece. They came out crisp and seasoned just right with a little spicy kick. Served with raw carrots, homemade pickles, and lettuce wraps to bundle those little jewels together--downright tasty. If food had a Hall of Fame, these would already have a plaque on the wall. The Pork Bao Buns were good as well, but they simply couldn't match the grand slam the Pork Belly Burnt Ends delivered. For my main course, I ordered the Smoked Wangs with the Jala Mango seasoning and a side salad. The wings were delicious--cooked and seasoned to perfection. Every bite was solid. No bootlegging required. Prohibition definitely hit it out of the park today. Between the great food, the great service, and the fun atmosphere near the ballpark, this place is a must-stop for locals or anyone just passing through Madison. Our waitress tried pretty hard to convince us to order dessert, so I'm guessing their sweets are just as flavorful as everything else on the menu. The only problem I had today? I couldn't finish my meal. I was absolutely stuffed. If this had been the 1920s, the only crime committed here would've been leaving food on the plate. Great food. Great service. I'll gladly return--though next time I may need a little more room in the stomach.

We ordered the steak appetizer roles that were outstanding! My wife ordered a Caesar salad that was huge, along with the filet with a baked potato. When I looked at the menu days prior, I was eyeing the shrimp and grits, but after seeing nearby tables entrees, I quickly ordered the ribeye. Our server, Jesstina was off the wall spectacular! It is a great spot for a date night or a special evening out. We started with the crab cake. It was definitely good, flavorful, and nicely prepared, but at 18 dollars for a single crab cake, it felt a little steep. The standout of the night was the Wild Mushroom Meatloaf. It was hearty, well seasoned, and something I would absolutely reorder. We paired it with asparagus and Parmesan fries. The asparagus was fresh and succulently seasoned, cooked just right. The Parmesan fries were crispy and flavorful and made a great complement to the meal. I ordered the London Dip, which had good flavor overall, especially paired with the roasted wild mushrooms. That combination worked well together. However, for the price point, I think next time I might try something else on the menu. It was good, just not quite as memorable as the meatloaf. We also tried the smoked gouda mac and cheese, which was rich and tasty and definitely a solid side option. Overall, Stoney River offers good quality dishes with strong flavors in a classy setting that makes it perfect for date night. A few items feel priced on the higher side, but I would return, especially for that meatloaf.
