Let me preface this review by saying I believe a patron should never have to ask for a drink or…read moremenu when sitting at the bar. The staff should ask you as quickly as possible after you sit. I say this knowing they can be busy getting drinks for the whole restaurant. It probably goes without saying I had to ask. I'm sure if I didn't ask I would still be sitting at the bar waiting. Three staff and I heard all kinds of language and they were focused on their personal issues, not their patrons. They have a great bourbon selection. The bar is a beautiful off-white marble top and feels cool to the touch. Great vibe among all the people sitting in the bar. There are nice, big windows in the bar and comfortable seating. I ordered the Mahi Mahi and it did not disappoint. A light crust, pan fried to perfection. The chopped vegetable medley was the perfect pairing. Very good. Temperature was perfect and it arrived promptly. No waiting. Desert was a peach cake with ice cream. The young lady at the bar recommended it over the strawberry mason jar. I'll have to come back and try the other. The food was great. The drink was great. The ambience was great. If the bar staff was up to par, it was a 5-star experience. I know the bar can be hard work, but don't forget your patrons. Ask them if they want another drink and pour it. Drinks are highly profitable.

Well I enjoyed my visit to Revivalist on a Friday night. It was a super busy night downtown,…read morehowever they also had complimentary valet which was a plus. The ambiance was great. Low lit, quiet and moody. There was a rehearsal dinner going on in their event room and it was so nice. But our server Rae was super sweet, very attentive and gave us recommendations as well as another server that was walking around. For the food, I will say that I had some favorites: the hush puppies, Brussels, and the short rib. To me the fried green tomatoes were a bit too thick and just not well seasoned for me. mahi Mahi as well lacked a little seasoning. Fries and aioli were a good side. I am more than willing to come back and try more! I'm interested in their Tuscan Wine dinner coming up for sure. My boyfriend enjoyed his old fashioned which he had never had their version and it was very good. My mocktail was really good as well as my glass of Loosen Bros Riesling. Will be back!

Food is outstanding. There's actually options for vegetarian diets including pescatarian. So, the Romeo Roll is full of fresh gulf shrimp seasoned well with lettuce , this homemade corn salsa that's just super fresh. Haven't had a bad one yet. Tracy, owner, makes me a Romeo Roll in a salad and it's amazing with goat cheese, shrimp, (I do not eat the Andouille sausage-vegetarian) but I tried a bite because I did forget to have them remove it the second time-it's good. They have no problem customizing your order or tailoring to your diet, this is a good spot in Huntsville. It's loud on certain days which I do not mind , gives good energy. I noticed that they also support the community-important. City folks-this is as close to a dive that I can find here. They have baked fish options and kids menus-prices are very reasonable especially in this economy.

My husband also ordered Takoyaki, which he devoured. Even the salad dressing was delicious. I ordered the Samurai Old Fashion, and wow... so good. Service was awesome from start to finish, and they even found my husband's AirPod after it fell out of his pocket. Lifesavers. Great food, great drinks, great people. Easy five stars.

Prohibition was giving out glasses, LED tubes, sparklers and playing upbeat music. We danced, laughed, swung our lights around and peaked through the blinking shades. My final work travel stop this week wrapped up with a mighty fine meal at Prohibition Rooftop Bar &…read moreGrill in Madison, Alabama. The restaurant sits just a stone's throw from the ballpark where the Rocket City Trash Pandas play, so the whole place already has a fun, lively atmosphere before you even sit down. Now given the name "Prohibition," I half expected someone to knock on the door and ask for a secret password like it was 1927. Back in those days, enjoying a drink required secrecy, dim lights, and maybe a jazz band playing in the corner. Today, things are a little easier... though for this non-drinker, my order was simple: water on the rocks, hold the lemon. I prefer my water about 100 proof for maximum flavor. My boss and coworker grabbed seats at the bar while we looked over the menu. We kicked things off with the Pork Belly Burnt Ends and the Pork Bao Buns. Let me tell you, those Pork Belly Burnt Ends were an absolute masterpiece. They came out crisp and seasoned just right with a little spicy kick. Served with raw carrots, homemade pickles, and lettuce wraps to bundle those little jewels together--downright tasty. If food had a Hall of Fame, these would already have a plaque on the wall. The Pork Bao Buns were good as well, but they simply couldn't match the grand slam the Pork Belly Burnt Ends delivered. For my main course, I ordered the Smoked Wangs with the Jala Mango seasoning and a side salad. The wings were delicious--cooked and seasoned to perfection. Every bite was solid. No bootlegging required. Prohibition definitely hit it out of the park today. Between the great food, the great service, and the fun atmosphere near the ballpark, this place is a must-stop for locals or anyone just passing through Madison. Our waitress tried pretty hard to convince us to order dessert, so I'm guessing their sweets are just as flavorful as everything else on the menu. The only problem I had today? I couldn't finish my meal. I was absolutely stuffed. If this had been the 1920s, the only crime committed here would've been leaving food on the plate. Great food. Great service. I'll gladly return--though next time I may need a little more room in the stomach.

Everything was super tasty, we got reservations and were seating promptly. Our waiter Chris was very kind and helpful. One thing that really stood out to me was how good the drinks were! It's hard to come across a place that has good drinks and good food. I would rate the cocktails the best I've had in Huntsville. The vibe of the restaurant was white table cloth and fancy. Older crowd, no TVS, quiet ambiance, seemed like a good place for corporate dinners & fancy dates!

If you haven't experienced it yet, I highly recommend requesting it when you make your reservation. Our server, Jillian, was outstanding--everything was spot on. Dinner was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. Cotton Row delivers everything you'd expect from a fine dining experience. From the interior to the overall atmosphere, it's superb, which clearly reflects strong management. Alyson Maples, the General Manager, does things the right way both on and off duty. We first met her during the 4th of July parade while standing outside the restaurant. When my wife became overheated, Alyson noticed immediately and brought her ice and water to help her cool down. That kind of thoughtfulness speaks volumes about her character.
