On January 4 I ordered and paid $1500 for a mattress. It arrived late and damaged . The company was good in that after I sent several photos they agreed to replace it. Since I was out of town I asked that delivery of the replacement mattress wait until I returned. About March 15 I called and asked that the replacement mattress be sent. Matthew agreed. When the mattress did not arrive as anticipated on March 28, I inquired about the status. I repeatedly received the same email response from Sarah, "our team is actively working on getting an update and tracking information , and at this time there are no new updates to share". Now on April 10, after 7 emails I still have no information. Each response has been exactly as the above. I called but the customer service representative, Matthew, said he could not help me and that the "logistics team" only communicated with customers by email. The Murphy bed that the mattress is for will be installed Monday. If and when I actually get the mattress I will have to pay for the installers to come out a second time to secure the mattress to the bed.

We provided all requested documentation for their warranty process and received no response for over six weeks. The company denied our claim because I placed the warranty claim email (with my wife copied to every message) and the purchase receipt was in my wife's name. They said that they consider this a transfer of ownership that voids the warranty.

Anyone who knows me knows that this is one of my all time favorite places to shop for anything related to home textiles such as Coyuchi organic bedding and sheets, organic towels, clothes, soaps. Over the years (since 2007) I have purchased pillows / sheets / blankets, oils, non toxic cleaning products, salt lamps, water filters, carbon filter masks, and my favorite of all - my IQAir Hepa Filters and replacement filters for my home. I even purchased one for my car to help manage symptoms of the filthy air here in Phoenix. I also want to mention that I went through a major health crisis related to chemical toxicity and mold exposures in the past, and Gerard and Nathalie were a wealth of knowledge and incredibly supportive while I was trying to sort out what had gone wrong health wise, and and then how to create a healthy home environment. I am not sure where I would have gone to buy these items or how I would have gained the knowledge, and for that I am forever grateful for Organic Living and Nathalie and Gerard. I do NOT agree with the obviously, "buyers remorse" commenter! I have patronized Organic Living for more than a decade and I will continue to do so for as long as they are open! When you walk into any retail store and they post signs saying no returns, store credit only,…read morebuyers need to beware. As a general rule, only small one off stores think and operate like this. To post a sign staying no returns in this day and age is just wrong. Shows you what they think about customer service and how they must be really desperate for sales. I bought a bench for $3,000 and it did not workout, so I returned it the next day and they did process the return. I was one of the lucky ones I thought. That was a good thing and the right thing to do, particularly when the same bench could be bought for $500 cheaper on any of a dozen websites. That I only learned after the fact. After waiting over a week and the credit not appearing on my credit card, I went back to the store and they assured me that it was on my end. They said they did their part and it is now my problem, not theirs. So, I waited another week, still no credit and I once again returned to the store only to be told the same thing. This time I questioned what they were doing. I also knew it was not on my end, as I had talked to a senior VP at Chase, (a friend and business associate) my credit card issuer. When I questioned them a little harder they went off on me and said I was picking on them and that I should get a life and go do volunteer work. Imagine being told all of this when all I wanted was my credit, which after two weeks still has not been processed properly. And, now this is my fault. Then they call me days later and basically tell me that I have two credit cards and I bought the bench on one and returned it on another. Since I only have and use one credit card, I knew that line was BS. So, I pushed back again and then was told it must have been my wife's credit card, which also was a stupid thing to say. It was not. So, I pushed back again and then she said, oh, she was reading the transaction number and not the credit card number. Gives one a warm and fuzzy that they actually know what they are doing. Although, my issue will one day will be resolved in my favor, the entire interaction with this store was about as bad as it gets. We all have choices where we shop and this store should not be one of them. There are too many other fine retailers that sell exactly what they sell and most of the time 10-20% less. You would think by now they would take a page from Amazon and learn how to run a better operation. Actually, Amazon now gives you your credit as soon as you drop it off at UPS most of the time. As we say, buyer beware. Never shop at a store that does not want to make it easy to do a return. We have all done a return at some time or another, and one should not have to fight to get your money back on a return. This is the first time I have ever written a negative review on the internet, but want others to be careful when shopping at small stores like this one. And, if a store post signs saying no returns, only a store credit, just walk out. Too many other choices from fine retailers.

As we walked in, Marla was the person to assist us throughout the entire process. She listened to our wants/needs, especially considering my boyfriend has some back issues and pain, and suggested a few mattresses. We loved all of them! She was very knowledgeable and patient as we shopped around. We knew we were likely going to go with a Purple mattress, but decided to browse at other stores. Their mattresses and customer service were lackluster in comparison to our experience at Purple, so a week later, we stopped by to make sure Marla was working, and purchased our mattress! It feels amazing and we're very happy. Not to mention, we got a great deal where we purchased a queen mattress and got a free adjustable base (at a $1500 or so value)!
