I just love this store! When you walk in you are greeted by friendly smiles and the peaceful and relaxing scent of clean air and with a light touch of essential oils. Anyone who knows me knows that this is one of my all time favorite places to shop for anything related to home textiles such as Coyuchi organic bedding and sheets, organic towels, clothes, soaps. Over the years (since 2007) I have purchased pillows / sheets / blankets, oils, non toxic cleaning products, salt lamps, water filters, carbon filter masks, and my favorite of all - my IQAir Hepa Filters and replacement filters for my home. I even purchased one for my car to help manage symptoms of the filthy air here in Phoenix. I also want to mention that I went through a major health crisis related to chemical toxicity and mold exposures in the past, and Gerard and Nathalie were a wealth of knowledge and incredibly supportive while I was trying to sort out what had gone wrong health wise, and and then how to create a healthy home environment. I am not sure where I would have gone to buy these items or how I would have gained the knowledge, and for that I am forever grateful for Organic Living and Nathalie and Gerard. They have obviously been able to stay in business all these years for being a reputable business. I own everything from an organic mattress, to bedding and air purification purchased from this store. I feel so grateful to have found the Organic Living Store! We replaced the flooring and painted our entire home using their natural toxin-free products. Our home is so beautiful now. It feels so healthy and fresh, and it smells so fresh (no weird toxic smells like in most paint and flooring). I'm not a crazed tree hugger but I try to be eco-friendly in the small ways that I can be. Buying non VOC paints free from toxic preservatives and coloring agents may not save the planet but it makes me feel good. I was excited to find Eco-Clean was so close too, don't have to waste precious fuel getting there and that's 100% wallet-friendly. So the store is small. and jumbly. You can buy paint, flooring, afghani salt rock lights, organic beauty products, air filters, pet care, mattresses, bedding, carpets, baby products and cleaning supplies, to name a few things...really, check out the website for the fully myriad of environmentally aware products they sell. The paint selection is absolutely the same selection you can find at home depot next door. I simply would not believe that a person couldn't find the exact shade they were looking for because the sample wall is huge. I brought in some items I wanted to match (pillow and print) and found just the right wall color. The atmosphere was laidback and I felt no pressure to hurry up and choose or buy extra things. The gallon prices are more expensive than home depot, yes even home depot's 'fresh aire' line (but fresh aire has a poor color selection anyway) at about $15 for a quart and $43 for a gallon. I painted my bedroom and living room yesterday and found the paint to be really quick drying, definitely needing a second coat to even out the color, so an all around normal painting experience. There is a smell, a strange smell and though the paint had dried I could smell it for a few hours afterwards, but whatever, it's paint, it smells. I thought it was curious that they sold beauty products here as really it seems like a home supply store but I bought a hemp oil lip balm i like and saw a little organic beauty kit that looks like a good option for traveling! I had a scheduled carpet cleaning and left the key under the mat as I had to go to work during the cleaning. I don't remember the name of the gentleman that went out for the cleaning, however he swore up and down that there was no key present. He said he went out there twice to check. This sent me into a panic because I thought someone stole the key. I was finally able to get in touch with a neighbor who went to check on it for me. His exact words were "they must not have looked hard enough because the key is right there" and even texted me a picture. I called them back and explained the conversation with my neighbor and offered to send him the picture as well. By this time, he told me they would have to go back another day, but I explained to him that that was unacceptable; this was a move-out clean, and I was leaving the country, so I had to return the key to my landlord before I left. Keep in mind that I'm at work during all of this, so I had to leave my desk for quite some time to make all of these back and forth phone calls. He agreed to go back later that evening once all of his other jobs were completed. I was very appreciative of this as he had to work late to get it done (to be frank though, it was his own fault for not being able to find the key when it was there the whole time). I had been into this store a few times before and always had a great experience while browsing or just grabbing some small things. What is making me write this review though is the service that my wife and I received yesterday when we went to look at a new mattress. Nathalie and Gerard went out of their way to help us, even changing out some of the latex on one of the mattresses to let us try different configurations. After searching through reviews and various Groupon that had shady reviews, I finally found this place (thanks yelpers!). Our carpet and tile was disgusting thanks to the people we had rented our house to. I swear they never once mopped or cleaned the carpet in the 3 years they lived here, not to mention how much their gross children decided to decorate the carpets. We haven't even finished moving in, and our dogs were over excited by the carpet and relieved themselves on it several times. Ew. I got a quote over the phone from the owner, and he explained about their cleaning products and process. I have terrible allergies and chemical sensitivity, so this sounded perfect. To clean the tile and carpet in my house I was quoted $300 (for about 1200sq ft), and they could be here the next day. I asked about extra costs for heavily soiled areas and pet stains, there are none. They showed up on time today, and got right to work. They measured my house and it came out to more than the owner quoted me, but they said they stick to their quotes, so I was charged only the $300. They were not freaked out by my little dogs (since a few would not shut up). They moved the bed we hadn't had a chance to move yet, which I know most carpet cleaners will not do. It took about 2 hours for them to do everything, my tile looks brand new, and most of the carpet does too. A few stains and traffic areas would not come out, but I'm not surprised with how bad it looked before. Those areas are at least lighter in color than they were before, and the carpet piling looks better. The carpet is slightly damp, and there's a very very faint cleaner smell. Nothing has aggravated my allergies or sentivities, and I've been walking on the carpet barefoot since they left. Both guys were really nice and caring that we not hurt ourselves trying to rush to move the last few things. This place is amazing. read more

He is very courteous and knowledgeable. Beyond an employee of Eco Clean, he is a very likable gentleman! We chose to move most of the large items out of the way ourselves prior to his arrival (although I believe that moving the items was included, we were eager to get our carpets cleaned!). He arrived early and well-prepared! He moved the remaining items and got right down to business and was meticulous and thorough. My husband and I purchased an organic latex mattress and the entire process was wonderful from purchase to delivery. They allowed us to let the mattress air out in their shop till we got into our new home and there were no smells which had always bothered my husband in the past from other mattresses. I've been going to Eco Clean for about 8-9 years now. I have MCS and need help getting products and information that will help me live easier. Gerard has always been very helpful, giving suggestions. The man is extremely knowledgeable about health, environment, chemicals. His concern for environmentally sensitive people is amazing - he truly gets how hard it is for us. His new store on 7th is great - much bigger and nicer than the old store (and much closer to me). I can't always afford to shop here, but when it is something of importance this is the place I come. They also do carpet and auto interior cleanings with an exceptionally good, safe product. I've had both my current car and apartment carpets cleaned with good results. We took a BIG area rug into them, were quoted about $60 and were able to pick it up cleaned and smelling much better in TWO days. I love these guys! Flooded basement and they are coming right over to clean and or replace padding under the carpet. I was skeptical at first but read on... I first met them Gerard when I was recommended to talk to them when my daughter developed severe allergies. He came to the house, evaluated the air and made recommendations as to how to clean the house, remove allergens and filter the air. It made a HUGH difference. We love all our air filters! He has also arranged on short notice to clean carpets when she has had reactions in the past. His service is great. He has even delivered replacement filters to the house. I called Eco Clean to get my carpets cleaned in my apartment last year after a friend referred them. My carpet was a lighter cream color and after a few get togethers and the dust involved with living in Arizona, it was looking pretty dingy and more of a grey color. Not after they were done cleaning them! They looked just like they did when I moved in when they wee done. They were also so quick and nice while in my home. The whole thing came out under what I thought it would be and the product the use is safe for your health and your pets (why I called them). First let me say that my experience there was pleasant. I just wasn't very happy with the outcome. I took my car here to get interior detailed. My misunderstanding that it was just an upholstery cleaning (seats, carpets), not a detail like they said. I took it here because I had a sesame oil spill on my back seat. When I called to inquire about it He said they could get it out, however once it dried it was still there. The man cleaning was nice and he did work hard for 1.5 hrs. I know it's not an easy job, hard work. I just feel if I am gonna pay $150 with gratuity, for just the seats and floors cleaned I was really hoping the oil would come up. He couldn't get the dog hair up which I know that is on me I have dogs, and lot of short hair that sticks to my seats. but I have had places actually get the hair up. I put my hand to the vacuum used, and didn't feel that it had as much suction as the drive thru car washes. I was just disappointed. I did not contact them about how it was since I drove out to them from San Tan Valley I didn't want to drive out again. I would probably not go back. with that said they did a good job for my sister. So I only speak about my experience. He did give me a military discount and $5 off for not being able to get all the dog hair. I have used this company for years, as I do not like chemicals. My husband recently Scratched a bite and did not realize he was bleeding onto our brand new carpeting. I worked on it for 2 days with cold water and lots of white towels! I finally called Organic and they were out the same day, steam cleaned it and you would never know we had an issue. This review is for a latex mattress topper I bought at the store. I am sensitive to chemicals and products off gassing, and I was hesitant to buy a latex topper. Since latex and memory foam seem to be the only choices for mattress toppers with good support I decided to try a latex topper because the owner of the store told me he would run it through his air chamber to remove the latex off gas before I took the topper home. Sadly the air chamber did not remove the store odors or the latex odors for me. This is because the air chamber is actually a plastic bag that contained the topper. The topper was left in the plastic bag for several days after the air was run through it. Latex and chemical/incense/essential oil smells from the store remained in the plastic bag material and transferred back to the topper and/or weren't efficiently removed to start with. The owner offered to set his air chamber up at my house, but since it traps the off gas in the bag, I declined as the air chamber did not work for me. The topper has been sitting in a room with open windows and two fans for seven months and it still reeks of latex; the store odors are finally gone. It was quite expensive and I am looking for a way to recycle it because I am not able to sleep on it. If you are sensitive to chemicals I would suggest you avoid latex and memory foam to sleep on because there is no good way to remove the off gas. read more

My son dropped beets on our carpet and I had a red stain for two weeks which they got out completely. They take their time to do the job right. Great customer service. I am SO very happy that I found this place! So far we have purchased an organic mattress for my toddler, paint for my newborn's room, bedding, pest control products, cleaning products. They also have air filtering items, flooring, books that can help you become more "green", and the list goes on. One of the main reasons that I continue going back (especially since we live pretty far from the store) is that the owner is absolutely wonderful. Friendly, helpful and does not pressure AT ALL.
