Dr. Kenneth A. Levitsky helped me with my foot and ankle injuries in a way that all of the other…read moredoctors I had seen could not. I had a soccer injury in 2005, which never fully healed. I saw many doctors, including specialists of varied kinds, approximately 10 in total. Each had helped, to a degree, but I still had enough problems to cause me to go on crutches and eventually into a wheelchair, when my elbow could not handle crutches anymore. I had seen approximately 10 recommended doctors. The last one I spoke to had been trained at the hospital for special surgery in NY and was considered the "best-of-the-best" in the Bergen County, NJ area. He told me he thought the only hope for me, after the cortisone shots, orthotics, shock-wave therapy, physical therapy, ultrasound, and the other treatments I had received, was surgery. He recommended Dr. Levitsky, as another doctor to consult, if I wanted another opinion. My podiatrist also recommended Dr. Levitsky and so did another doctor of mine. These doctors were completely independent of each other, so I figured Dr. Levitsky must be excellent. I went into Dr. Levitsky's office in Fair Lawn, NJ, in November of 2012, in a wheelchair and he prescribed a cam walker for my foot and ankle, added physical therapy for both the foot and ankle, and general advice to let pain be my guide for how much I could try walking on my foot, while in the cam walker. After six weeks, he got me out of the wheelchair, onto a knee-walker and after 7 months, I was walking 3 x 30 minutes a day, for a total of 90 minutes, without any assistance at all. I never needed the crutches, wheelchair or knee walker again, nor did I require surgery. Dr. Levitsky helped me in ways that even the most highly recommended doctors in my area could not. He helped me to overcome plantar fasciitis, tendonitis and arthritis. My experience with him is that he is an excellent orthopedist for foot and ankle problems!!!!!!!! DO NOT GO HERE IF YOUR PLAN IS TO GET WELL…read more I was in a minor fender bender. Went to see these doctors because they took NY State No Fault and the accident wasn't my fault. These people are ambulance chasers who have no interest in getting you well enough to get back to your life. I was harassed about not having a lawyer. They actually had a lawyer call me about my "case." The office manager took it upon herself to have a "sit down" with me to encourage (or force) me to get one. Me telling them I'm not interested in litigation, I'm interested in being able to squat without serious pain did nothing. They threatened to come after me for the bills if the insurance company didn't pay. Then scheduled me for tests I probably didn't need. They sent me to a specialist about my knees, who decided after seeing my MRI that I needed to have surgery on both knees. I went to a different doctor for a second opinion, and a third doctor that I'm actually seeing now, and neither thought surgery was necessary or would be of any benefit. In fact, both said that the injury to my right knee doesn't even require surgery. It heals on it's own. Oddly enough, 98% of the time I went in for treatment (my MRI claims I have all kinds of injuries to my neck and back as well as my knees), all I got was a heating pad and stim machine on my knees, and some really really bad acupuncture. I could feel the needles. A couple of times I got the stim machine/heating pad combo on my back. No exercise, no strengthening of the muscles around my injured knees. No attention to the other injuries I have. There was also the series of "pain shots" administered by Dr. Cohen that didn't work at all. If your goal is to help them get rich off billing insurance companies then by all means, this is the place for you. If your goal is to get better and get back to your life, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Never again.

I had told them my symptoms where not getting better, but they acted like they didn't want me there. Not to mention when the doctor walked in her first words to me where "what's wrong with you", no introduction or anything. Not only was she efficient and professional but she was personable and helped me experience fly by even more quickly. Out of nowhere I felt a sharp pain in my lower back and fell to the ground. I thought it would be temporary and everything would be ok, but sadly I was wrong. I tried to go in to work and had to get off the train and rush to my boyfriends chiro for help. He did what he could, but the pain was still unbearable and I had a flight to catch! I made the trip, but it wasn't enjoyable at all, looking back on things, I should've just taken the L and missed the trip, but I had to be there for my friend and I feel better now so worth it right?!! Once I arrived, I was greeted by the receptionist who had me fill out all the proper paperwork and then I went to see Dr. Bruce! I explained to him what was going on and as soon as he examined me I started crying. When I tell y'all my pain was unbearable I was not kidding! He could tell how much I was hurting and assured me that he'd do everything to help me feel better. After just the first treatment.... y'all I couldn't believe it but I actually left feeling better. I was walking back to my office with a smile and a little pep in my step. I thought they were doing some kind of witchcraft in there because the difference from when I walked in to now leaving was HUGE! I couldn't wait to go back to my next session so I could get to 100% The second session wasn't so great, I left thinking things got worse, but after the third and I fourth, I realized this was all part of the process and finally I can say that I am back to my old self.. but with a better back! Dr. Bruce was fantastic and I am so thankful to him for helping me get to a better place. Although I feel better, I plan on going back soon because it's nice to just get seen and make sure things are going along as they should. Couple days later, I found myself in excruciating pain on my upper back (shoulder blade) and called them to see if I can pop in for that first visit. Not only did they say "yes, sure come in now," but they also treated the free consultation as if I was already a paying client. Very very nice staff, big & clean office space, looks like they treat all different kinds of things due to the number of staff members and equipment. Already have a follow up appointment. I was a Physical Therapy patient here for 4+ months recently. I came to them after over 1 year…read morereceiving therapy at another local PT office where I saw little improvement & they ultimately told me there was nothing more they could do. I met for a consultation with Beverly & immediately noticed her professionalism, kindness & real interest in my case. She listened to my full history, asked questions & even consulted with some of her colleagues before creating a treatment plan for my specific issues. I worked with her twice weekly for 4+ months & the improvements are amazing. She encouraged me to work through the plan, modified & increased exercises as I improved & always provided encouragement. Over the 4+ months I watched her work with many other patients with varying degrees of challenges & she was always the consummate professional & she made it a really positive experience. The billing managers & front desk manager were also kind & efficient even at 8am! The office is brand new & has both stairs & an elevator if you need it.
