A lesson is 30 minutes long and there is usually one instructor teaching 4 kids and the last 5 minutes the instructor gives the parents the update. So technically, each kid gets about 6 minutes per lesson. Just like learning everything else, if you want your kids to do well, you have to then practice during the week. The staff is always nice and helpful. His instructor is very patient and is very good with kids and getting them to do things. The pool is heated and lessons are all year round. I don't have any complaints but just know your kids are only getting about 6 minutes per week. You just have to be patient and teach your kids on the side. They will get there eventually.

Anthony stuck by her side, letting her pour water on his head. By week two, she was in the water, but scared. She held onto him for dear life, but Anthony was patient and kind. Now, at week 4, she is JUMPING into the water with the biggest smile. I cannot wait to see how the next 4-8 weeks go! Thank you Coach Anthony!

Mr. Chris is very skilled in teaching as well as patient. I can't help believe that a great deal of my granddaughters success is the trust she has in her trainer and the feeling of caring for his students and his sincere commitment to their individualized progress, he demonstrates. The lessons are a bit more expensive than the other leading kids swim school, but there are fewer kids so it is not nearly as chaotic. The kids definitely get great instruction and learn to swim in no time. Our son is not yet 3 and can nearly swim on his own after the lessons that he received here. The only thing that is a little strange with their structure is that your time and instructor are not guaranteed from one season to the next, so if you like your time slot and want to keep it, you need to wait in line on sign-up day. The benefit is that everyone has an equal chance of getting their preferred time each season and if you don't get it one season you have a chance the next season. Also, you need to pay for the full season up front, which is a big expense compared to other swim schools where you pay monthly. All in all, we've had a great experience here and would highly recommend it to get you child swimming well.

The Berkeley Aquatic Club is where I came to do my physical therapy after I had knee surgery. I…read moretried doing the standard therapy and then Covid hit. I then found the Berkeley Aquatic Center in New Providence which offers water therapy. It has been working out wonderfully for me. There's only two people max in the pool. Everyone must wear a mask at all times, and we practice social distancing even in the water. My instructor is right there at pool side giving instructions. Myself and the other attendee take turns using the equipment. The pool has a full set of stairs with rails, so for me getting in and out of the water was not as difficult as a regular pool's set of stairs.It is extremely relaxing because the water is very calming to the body. I had to call first from my car to let the front desk know I arrived. Then I would be met by a worker at the front door, and then they would do a temperature check on me. Once good, I would then proceed to the pool.There is a locker room/ bathroom with showers and a changing area. I just bring a bag and a change of clothes and keep it with me, I could lock it up if I choose to. My sessions would last 45 minutes to an hour depending upon the day. The pool water temperature is kept at 85° at all times.They have a built in treadmill, along with arm weights and noodles, and other pool equipment to get a complete workout. There is a platform with a step down until a little bit deeper water. When I started I could hardly move. By the time I completed a few sessions I was able to start on the treadmill. I could feel myself getting stronger and stronger with each session. It is so much easier to exercise in a pool when your body is in pain. My body felt weightless !. It doesn't hurt like it did when I did traditional PT. My physical therapist Jamie was wonderful. She was extremely patient, very pleasant, and she really was in tune with what I would say to her in regards to my pain. Every session was different. Jamie also gave me some exercises to do at home. This is the best I felt in months. The Berkeley Aquatic Center has a full size pool where they give swim lessons to young kids. Right now due to Covid it has been kept closed. They take most insurances, you need to have a script from your doctor to attend. Every week I look forward to my sessions.When it ends I'm going to feel sad. . I highly recommend water therapy for anyone looking for an alternative to traditional therapy .

From the main, 10-lane, Olympic-sized competition pool to warm-up lap and training pools, there's a range of programs and facilities for a wide variety of skill levels. We visited recently for the Rebels Meters Mania swim meet, and one of the highlights was the digital scoreboard, which displayed each swimmer's name, lane and heat time. I was also amazed to see the meet livestreamed on the event's YouTube channel, which allowed for distant family members to watch our kids swim. The only downside was the ear-splitting dance music blared at the audience before and sometimes during the meet, which triggered my Apple Watch high-decibel alert. Attending a swim meet shouldn't put one's family at risk of hearing loss. Swim meets are naturally loud events, with concrete and water surfaces exhibiting maximum acoustic reflective properties, so there's little reason to add to that characteristic. Watch from the upstairs viewing rooms or bring ear protection, and consider keeping small children at home, in order to protect from the nightclub-like audio environment.

We came here and in 3 days Luis and his coaches were able to make her lose her fear of diving. NJ Sea Dragons recently opened and after being in many swim schools throughout the year, I highly recommend this swim school over any others. They break down every stroke to teach the little details and they work on endurance during every practice. Luis is a USA swimming professional coach and his team is excellent. If you are interested in your kids swimming professionally, give them a try!!

Sea Ott Swimming is a great school, from the teachers to the owner…read more After looking into several other schools in the area including taking some trial classes we chose Sea Ott. The owner, Coach Jenn Ott is great with the kids and does a great job of keeping a small class size so the kids really get time to swim. In other schools that we tried, our kids spent more time waiting than swimming. We first started with our older daughter who was 10 at the time with no swimming experience. Within 4 lessons she had real confidence and was swimming quite well. Now 2 years later she still takes lessons just to improve technique but has swam competitively in our town because of Sea Ott. We then enrolled our 3 year old. With her we did private lessons rather that group. The rates are very reasonable and the teachers are great. She is now 4 and has no fear of the water because of Sea Ott. We have just had great experiences here and would recommend them to anyone.

They keep it fun, but it's also challenging and helps them improve their times. The coaches are very encouraging and teach good technique. And the team is very friendly, so they love going to practice and to meets to hang with their friends and try to get best times & win relays etc.. Highly recommend it. We had my younger (5 year old) son doing Clinics there and he improved dramatically as well. They even let him participate in a meet there, and he loved that. And all of the older, more experienced swimmers, cheered for him as he swam down the pool as a beginner swimming a 25 butterfly.
