NJ Sea Dragons recently opened and after being in many swim schools throughout the year, I highly recommend this swim school over any others. They break down every stroke to teach the little details and they work on endurance during every practice. Luis is a USA swimming professional coach and his team is excellent. The lessons are a bit more expensive than the other leading kids swim school, but there are fewer kids so it is not nearly as chaotic. The kids definitely get great instruction and learn to swim in no time. Our son is not yet 3 and can nearly swim on his own after the lessons that he received here. The only thing that is a little strange with their structure is that your time and instructor are not guaranteed from one season to the next, so if you like your time slot and want to keep it, you need to wait in line on sign-up day. The benefit is that everyone has an equal chance of getting their preferred time each season and if you don't get it one season you have a chance the next season. Also, you need to pay for the full season up front, which is a big expense compared to other swim schools where you pay monthly. All in all, we've had a great experience here and would highly recommend it to get you child swimming well.

He had been in swimming lessons before, but didn't fit the description of the next level up. Turns out it was way to easy. Another problem was that there is no safety barrier for small children spectators. Just a bench and a few feet until the pools edge. I had to bring my 2 year-old, which was nerve racking. There is a waiting room, but if you wait there you can't see your child swim. Because there was no trial offered, I simply asked for a refund, which they were reluctant to give. So I asked to roll the amount into private lessons in the morning (which is the only time that fits my schedule). A few weeks went by and the only time slot they could provide was 11:30, which didn't work for us, so I asked for a refund again. Eventually they docked me the first class and sent me a check (adding an unfriendly note in the memo), but overall it wasn't a good customer service experience. When I texted (their preferred method of contact) I often got no response for days, and then when I called the person I spoke was wasn't friendly at all. Oh well!

The lifeguard on duty gave each child a brief swim test and made sure those not as skilled had the proper flootys. There is a change room area for the swimmers also. As I type the party is haulers by the presence of a huge bug on the table... I noticed everyone complaining about their eyes and throat burning in the pool. I will say of all the local swim places this place had the best rates for swim lessons so I will be in touch for that. I will absolutely recommend this place for lessons, or a local party option.

My 4 year…read moreold boy with a very short attention span has been taking lessons once a week since August 2023. A lesson is 30 minutes long and there is usually one instructor teaching 4 kids and the last 5 minutes the instructor gives the parents the update. So technically, each kid gets about 6 minutes per lesson. Just like learning everything else, if you want your kids to do well, you have to then practice during the week. The staff is always nice and helpful. His instructor is very patient and is very good with kids and getting them to do things. The pool is heated and lessons are all year round. I don't have any complaints but just know your kids are only getting about 6 minutes per week. You just have to be patient and teach your kids on the side. They will get there eventually.

Anthony stuck by her side, letting her pour water on his head. By week two, she was in the water, but scared. She held onto him for dear life, but Anthony was patient and kind. In less than 24 hours of signing up, I received nearly 20 texts, calls, and emails, after I had confirmed twice we would be there. I later find out, they started texting my friend who also signed up, trying to get $28 from her *for a free trial class "because the other location was closer to her*... when we mapped it, there was a 2 minute difference. I called the woman and she first came across nasty, which I very abruptly did not allow. Finally, the day of the class I decided that not only I felt discouraged but beyond annoyed to the point when we decided to cancel. And of course, I spent the entire day trying to get ahold of someone and nobody answers the phone. Overall, TERRIBLE management and treating people that were excited and very willing to pay their obnoxiously priced monthly rates.
