However when it came time to pick our wedding photographer, we were not limited by location. We spoke with many photographers all over the country and looked at countless websites. After exchanging emails and conference calls with Terry & Maike, we just knew Gruber Photographers were the right fit. It wasn't until we met Maike (and her assistant Julia) in Positano, Italy a few days before the wedding that we knew how right we actually were. They worked so incredibly hard and never seemed to even take a breath. Every one of our guests commented on how professional and hardworking they were. With such a small group of people (only 16!), they fit in seamlessly over the 3 days of wedding festivities. Demanding and take charge when necessary (which is occasionally needed with our families!), they were always in search of the perfect shot and in fact did capture them all! Never for a moment did we doubt that they were amazingly committed to helping us preserve every shot and memory! Not only are we and our families obsessed with the shots they captured, but our friends were blown away too. They were able to experience the wedding through the pictures Maike took. We are happy with Gruber Photographers because: (1) they responded to emails / calls, on all occasions, with virtually no wait time. (2) they were flexible with my son's difficult circumstance. (3) Olga spent a great deal of up-front time planning and communicating with my son on the logistics of the surprise photo session. (4) Olga's pictures were perfect. (4) they provided a couple of the photographs, within hours, so my son could have a couple for social media. Chris was easy to converse with and availability was not an issue. His company offers a number of services for different needs. And he walked us through every part of our wedding, helping us anyway possible. Even when we (well mainly my wife) had concerns, Chris always reassured us with his opinions from his many years of many weddings and experiences. The best thing about Chris is his eye for the shot. If you check out his blog you will know what I mean. His photos are absolutely amazing and almost non-comparable to other photographers. He doesn't take mundane shots; all the photos he had taken for us had life and were very vibrant. I set up my shoot with Carey (who is quite swift in responding) via email and she was willing to work with me to find what worked for me and my needs. For the purpose of my shoot, I was looking for new yoga photos for my website and social media. We settled on a package that worked for me, a date and a time. She suggested places where we could take our photos and gave me pointers so I can do my own research in finding a place to take my photos too. On the day of the shoot, she was warm and inviting. She allowed me to warm up while she warmed up with her shots. I felt comfortable in front of her and her camera (let's face it, it's tough sometimes!). With "...and fake laugh" prompts, they turned out to be real laughs! Finally, the photos. They are stunning. Her lighting and the angles in which she took her photos really made the photos pop and gave me exactly what I wanted for my website, social media and business.
