I strongly suggest that you don't buy from this store, especially if you are looking at preordering items. Don't take my word for it, go to the store Facebook page: under each post there are comments of people asking where their order is, or why they don't get answers for weeks/months when contacting support. While on Facebook, search for "NMC Toys Survivors" for more...entertaining...recounts from people who bought from this store. The store is just one guy but apparently must have multiple personalities. If you email one the store addresses, he may ignore the message and tell you that you should have used another address instead (I guess he doesn't know how to create forwarding rules...). Luckily I was able to recover all my money after he didn't deliver any order I made. That's probably because I didn't fall for his tactics of dragging communications and did a chargeback via CC before my window closed (and guess who emailed right away after that...). He kept saying the distributor didn't deliver... but the same items were readily available for weeks even on Amazon. Visa refunded also his idiotic restocking fee (for what, since he never had stock to begin with?). If you have preorders, I suggest you just go the chargeback route and don't waste time trying to cancel via the store support email, unless you are just at the beginning of your cancellation window. Be ready for some...colourful...messages, but just stay calm and respectful if/when replying. It definitely helps when making your case with your CC company. Btw, your cancellation window starts from the promised delivery date, not from when you made the order (mention that if they push back). Also, if you are in Ontario and your purchase is over $50, you are protected by the Consumer Protection Act. Check under "Late Delivery" and you'll find that "26 (1) A consumer may cancel a future performance agreement at any time before delivery under the agreement...if the supplier, (a) does not make delivery within 30 days after the delivery date specified in the agreement or an amended delivery date agreed to by the consumer in writing". read more

Worst experience with an online retailer ever. The owner Austin is rude, belligerent and completely ignorant. He's absolutely running a ponzi scheme by taking customer's money and never sending the products out. Read all the New comments on Google. There's hundreds of us who've been scammed and there are FB groups and Reddit groups now about how this guy scams buyers with pre-orders. Even if you file a claim after 120 days on a pre-order he charges a restocking fee that your bank won't get back. So essentially he is able to scam you for the restocking fee. Long read but do yourself a favor if you plan on ordering from NMC Pre ordered a figure in August 2022, figure was scheduled for September 2022. Fast forward to the beginning of October, curious if the release was pushed back I emailed NMC's Austin beginning with I'm not making a complaint just seeking some information regarding the figures release. I was aware of the wait period for a response was delayed due to covid and he's the only person running his site so I waited over a week just for some acknowledgement, I mean the site has 2 seperate support emails(pretty redundant in and of itself) so I emailed the second support contact email with the logic "perhaps I was mistaken and I sent it to the wrong address and he doesn't respond if it's not the correct email(again baffling) so I'll send pretty much the same email amd apologize for the double email and explain yourself.". Fast forward to the beginning of November 2022. Still no response from Austin or whoever he hired to answer the email for either of my emails other than the auto response he consistently resorts to mentioning as if it's some fine print of a contract everyone misses when in fact I fully understand the auto response and its contents so maybe stop repeating yourself as a defense, but I divulge. As I stated zero responses for over a month. So in my third email I questioned why it takes so long just to get in contact with him for simple information, again surprise no response. So as a final and what I thought would be a fruitless effort, I commented on a old fb post from 2 months prior when I asked about my figures release on said post. Miraculously to my bewilderment Austin had decided to answer me and of all places on the fb post from 8 weeks prior. What I got in response was laughable to say the least and a small example of Austin's attitude to everyone of his customers whom had any sort or complaints. To quote one of the many angry former customers " I suppose it's always a "you live and you learn" experience with NMC. Sorry you had to go through that, like so many others have in the past. The problem is he over-promotes his business on the web so it gets the top hits when you're searching for an item, making it look like the shop is legit and reputable. However, it's any but that and far from the best option for preorders or general consumer reliability. A search of his consumer reviews and revelation of extremely low ratings confirms that. NMC's owner is a toxic powder keg running with on a hair trigger - he's always looking for a fight and will play passive-aggressive with avoidance on communication until he feels he has the upper hand to chew into customers. Please take my testimony and utilize it before proceeding in doing business with this scammy business. In April 2022, I placed a pre-order for an item they had for sale on their website. As someone who prefers to help mom and pop/small independent businesses, I looked forward to receiving my item within a few weeks after placing my order. Fast forward to July, and the item still had not arrived and I was constantly e-mailing the business owner and his employee for updates on when it would arrive with no success. After numerous emails, I emailed them requesting my order to be cancelled and a refund and they simply ignored me. After having enough of their games, I filed a case with PayPal to have the situation resolved. The Vendor was given two weeks to reply to PayPal before they closed the case and only replied a few hours before the case closed in order to prolong them from refunding me. It was then I asked PayPal for assistance by filing an escalation case that PayPal took a look at all the receipts I provided them (e.g. emails sent to request a refund, business replies, etc.) that on October 4th they ruled in my favor and refunded my money. This business is nothing but a retail Ponzi scheme. Please look at the negative reviews they've received on Google Reviews and Yelp! (https://www.yelp.ca/biz/northmen-collectibles-toronto-3) to see I am not the only one they tried to rip off by refusing to refund their money for pre-orders they've placed years before. All the positive reviews are apparent fake reviews posted by the business itself in order to jack up their rating and appear to be a legit, trustworthy business. 15 Months And Still Waiting I ordered a few items via NMCToys.ca on June 4, 2021. It's now September 23, 2022 and never received my order. They had no problem taking my money immediately. The owner Austin Da Silveira's best offer was store credit. Store credit is no good if you don't send the items I order with it. I'm currently disputing the transaction with Paypal and I hope for a favorable conclusion, despite the 180 days limit. I've ordered a bunch of items from this site, and have never had a problem. Sometimes, pre-orders might get delayed, but the owner is always very upfront about availability issues - more often than not, it has to do with distribution chain, which I entirely out of their hands, unfortunately (as a small business, it's not really a fair comparison to complain that you're still waiting while EB Games has something available...one is a multi-million dollar franchise, and one is an awesome dude who started a company out of a small Toronto office). I recently inquired about something I had ordered which still had not been made available, and was given an explanation, as well as the option to cancel my pre-order and use that money towards any of the alternative versions that were currently in stock. I decided to hold out for my original order, but I liked being given that option. I've messed up few times with my orders, and each time customer service has helped me out (including grabbing a package BACK from Canada Post to update the address after I moved and forgot to make changes to my account!). The prices are fair, sale events pretty common, and the fact that it is a passionate collector running a Collectibles business is very clear, and appreciated! Beware and shop elsewhere! Really just an all-around terrible experience. I waited 10 months for my order to arrive when it was supposed to be sent out one week after I placed my order. Ten whole months! After placing my order and seeing it had not even shipped after one month, I reached out to the owner via their support system. I was ignored and received no response. I then reached out over email and social media and again was ignored. After two months of waiting I left a much-deserved negative review of this store, and the owner finally responded to that. In his response the owner blatantly lied and said I never reached out to him. He then proceeded to call me names, and sent several aggressive and condescending emails to me (he somehow managed to find my email address and order after the fact, though he still pretended I never sent him anything). When I told the owner I wanted to cancel the order after waiting so long and dealing with the horrible customer service, he tried to charge me 10% as a restocking fee. Had I known I would be waiting several months for in-stock items, I never would have ordered in the first place. Not wanting to pay any more money to this store than I already did, I decided to wait. I ordered one figure from them in 2019 and received it no problem. Included was a request for a good Google review and receive a VIP discount on my next order. I did so, and used the discount to order 4 figures (some pre-orders) totalling over $100. The pandemic hit, and supply chains were disrupted, so I was willing to cut them some slack and wait longer. It is now April 2023, and I have since purchased two of the four figures from other vendors. I have emailed 3 times to cancel my order, since they obviously are unable or unwilling to fulfill the deal, with no response beyond an automated reply. Lord knows if I used my real name I'd never receive my order from this store; although given how long it's been delayed I've about lost all hope that I'll actually receive anything I paid for. In conclusion, if you are thinking about shopping at NMC Toys, avoid at all costs. If you've shopped here before and had no issues with your order, count yourself lucky and don't take your chances again for risk of being subjected to the horrible treatment that myself and so many other patrons of this store have been subjected to. Terrible customer service!!! Ordered and paid for a very expensive item in August for my Son's Christmas. Was told at that time that it would be released in October, then November then December. I waited until December 17th to cancel the order which I believe was extremely fair. I had contacted them on numerous occasion to be told they didn't know anything. When I contacted them to cancel the order they were very hostel and accused me of ordering with no intention of taking the item. They did refund my money, however, it was 35.00 short.
